  1. I did not have the Cheers program, and I am not hijacking this thread as my comment has to do with drinking. They must not put much alcohol in their mixed drinks so one could drink the max of 15 per day. I was on a snorkel tour in Grand Turk recently, and rum punch was served after the snorkel. I had three, and was flagged by Carnival, my drinking privledges were taken away, mini bar locked. I was given no test..........my DH and I argued at guest relations to no avail...................when we returned to our room, on our bed was an invitation to the open bar past guest party:confused:

I was not drunk, just giddy, as we were with my sister and when we get together, we giggle as school girls, don't even need alcohol.

Has anyone been flagged on the Cheers program? Three drinks would not be anywhere near breaking even!!

Also want to say that we did have the unlimited Classic program on Celebrity, and it was very hard to get a buzz unless you drank beer or wine.

  3. We had the classic package on Celebrity twice and loved it. It included all wine/drinks up to $8, beer up to $5, frozen pina coladas etc. canned sodas, bottled water, coffees, fresh juice. It did not include room service/mini bar, bottles of wine/buckets of beer. It did include private island drinks, and we were allowed to each take back to our cabin a drink/nightcap,an upopened can of soda, and bottle of water with no problem. They even gave us a bucket to put in all in. Thank you Celebrity.............Are you listening Royal????????????

  4. A few questions.........we have sailed the Voyager out of Bayonne, so will be slightly familiar with the Explorer. What type's of live music for dancing still exists? Will there be a Raggae band by the pool?

How many formals for a 10 nighter?

Any problems filling a sturdy handled duffle with two six packs of bottled Pepsi/ and two six packs of bottled water...all in original packaging being delivered to our cabin? It was no problem on the Enchantment in Baltimore.

Is there still free Seattles Best coffee and free pastries/mini sandwiches on the Prominade 24 hours?

How late is the free pizza open, as we have late dinner?

My single BIL will be traveling with us, solo across the hall, will there be get togethers for singles?

Is the Windjammer the only place to get free iced tea/jucies? On the Voyager, it would close and we'd be out of luck, so we soon learned to carry out an extra drink for our fridge.

Besides Quest, what is not to be missed?

Thanks, everyone in advance, really looking forward to our pre Holiday cruise when the ship will be all decorated!!:D

  5. Cuizer2:

Thank you for the review and pictures.

I have saved some of your pictures because I have none from the cruise. I left my camera on a table and no one turned it in to Guest Services. Therefore, I WAS without pictures. But not now that you have posted. We are actually IN one of your shots of the pool deck and are thrilled to have that photo.

    Thanks again,

    Beachnative

We have a group pix that you are in at our pina colada party!! Don't know how to post here, need your email somehow:)

  7. [quote name='Bridge Maven']Ocean Dancer, so sorry to hear that happened to you. Did you have the option of saying that date wasn't convenient for you, without a specific reason, and choose an alternate

Not quite sure I understand your reply, this was at least 10/12 years ago. I had a cruise booked to leave in two weeks, then I got a postcard for Jury Duty. I called them and was told to have my TA fax our confirmation for the cruise, which I did. Didn't hear from them for several years. The defendent and the lawyers were all in the same room with all of us in a balcony type area. The defendent could see us and I guess reality set in as he pled guilty. We did not know what he was guilty of and were sent home.
  8. The Seattle Best reg and decaf coffees are free - there's large urns filled with coffee and you help yourself. There's a charge for any specialty ones like latte's, capaccino's, expresso, etc.

The free coffee at the promenade is the best coffee on the whole ship! I'm a coffee drinker and we always bring insulated cups with us. We fill our cups up on the way to the buffet for breakfast because the coffee is so much better than what they have there. I don't understand why the coffee isn't the same throughout the ship, but it's not.

Thank you, that's what I wanted to hear. We had a balcony on the Voyager on the 6th level, and it was so easy to get good coffee/donuts in the morning. We really liked that about the ship.:) Thinking about the Explorer for winter.
