  1. Just popped over the carnival's website to the FAQ section and found this nugget "Carnival’s Priority Check-in is an exclusive service designed to afford our VIFP Platinum and Diamond guests, and those traveling in deluxe suite accommodations, with special embarkation and debarkation privileges. The guest's boarding pass will be stamped PRIORITY for terminal and Captain’s Lounge* access."

  2. My then boyfriend (now husband) proposed to me on a sunset catamaran excursion we went on with our friends while on a cruise to Bermuda. Funniest part, I planned the entire trip for the group, right down to the excursions. They all thought is was a riot that I was unknowingly planning my own engagement cruise.

  3. John Heald, the brand ambassador, has just recently (yesterday I think) address this over on facebook. In essence, don't bother asking as it will be a no go. They sail full ships so insta-upgrades don't happen. He is quite a hoot and very informative. A guy worth following, I promis.

  4. A very important tidbit to know, speaking from experience. Make sure you have your dietary needs noted on your reservation and either call the access help desk at 1-866-584-9756 or email them at accessdesk@ncl.com. On day 1, speak with the Maitre D and they will guide you through the process, and quite frankly, spoil you rotten. :D

    From the NCL FAQ section:

    "What about special dietary needs?

If you have any food allergy or a dietary requirement that requires Kosher meals or gluten-free food product, please advise a Norwegian Reservations Agent, or your Travel Agent at the time of booking. Obtaining the product for many of these requests requires 30-days notice prior to sailing, and we want to ensure that we are able to fulfill your request. We cannot guarantee Kosher Meal requests made within 30 days of sail date. For the protection of all of our guests, it is not permissible to bring aboard any food items that would require preparation by the ship’s staff, or food items that would require cold storage in our kitchen facilities"

  5. Phew!!!!! I did it!!!!! I made it all the way through today and got caught up before the thread hit 68 pages. :) We are going to be on next year for the August 4th sailing. And I can't wait!!! Glad to see the brewhouse is back. I can get my newly developed beer taste buds a work out. I did notice that they are about 10 less beers offered as on the Escape as of right now.
