How far is the walk? Can a person using a cane do this? Love to spend time with the kitties. Hate that mobility is always an issue.
I know it's been recommended to take an uber

Was in Amber Cove this past week on the Mardi Gras.
Water slides are open -- two of them, one open and one enclosed. Umbrellas are $20 for the day. Zip line all day pass is also $20.
Chairs are pretty plentiful in the first couple of hours, then at least for us got crowded. Depends how many ships are in port, of course. We had two others (one Celebrity and one Holland America) with us. And being Thanksgiving week, the Mardi Gras was carrying the most passengers EVER (!!) on a Carnival ship, at nearly 6400.
Pool was great, there's a small lazy river and a swim up bar, and one end is zero entry,
don't lazy rivers move though?

Has anyone booked a specialty reservation in advance and then changed them on the ship? Did you have any trouble doing so?

I don't think anyone has said a refund isn't deserved.
Mr TreyB very much said that...
You change your mind, you pay the consequences. Why do you expect them to immediately refund you when you booked prior and then changed your mind at the last minute, inconveniencing other guests who may have wanted a reservation? You don’t deserve an immediate refund, if you deserve a refund at all.

If his offer did not specifically say "and companion" it will not extend to you. If you have a separate, identical and currently valid casino offer, call your PVP and have it applied.
Mine has never said companion and has always included my bf.

They are expensive to rent, around 200 for the week. If she can be pushed, you can buy a rollator for half that price or less depending upon weight capacity and quality.
Yeah we were just quoted 385 for 8 days for my mom

does anyone know of any golf cart rentals in Amber cove? I could have sworn I saw a stand, but maybe I’m mistaken.
-
I know it's fairly close to the ship, but sometimes my mom doesn't get around super well - so, does anyone know if it's possible to get an uber or a taxi from the ship to Save a Gato?
Thanks!

I did! First time on HAL - can't wait to try it 😄

Had to take advantage of the $1 sale!
I've only been on CCL in the past, trying NCL this November.
What can I expect to be different between HAL and CCL? (Not talking about crowd, passengers etc.) -

Hi there, That's awesome. Which ship are you sailing on and when/where are you cruising? That information might help with some of the replies as well.
I enjoy NCl. Was last on the Encore. Working on bookings now for European sailings next. Those will be on smaller, older ships.
Enjoy your cruise!
Thanks so much, I’m going on the Sun to Bermuda in November 😀

Just booked my first cruise on NCL, pretty excited!
Wondering if anyone has any advice/ tips that I should know that would be different from CCL (please save the hate if you aren’t a fan- the price is always right lol) -

This is getting ridiculous and just another money maker for Carnival. They now offer a limited number of rapid testing for 100.00 a person. They say to get the at home test, no one has those. This is ridiculous. They give unvaccinated people 72 hrs to before boarding to get the test but those of us vaccinated only 48 hrs and no one can guarantee test back by then.
They aren’t out of stock.

Yes, you can still have a 1980s cruise experience on board if you want.
Sounds good to me

yes. The purchase of the tests has nothing to do with who uses the test.
Thank you! it's much cheaper that way 😄

If you buy the 3 pack of acceptable home tests, can multiple people use the tests from the same box (not the same test lol)

Hello!
I was excited for Amber Cove until I started reading a lot of the reviews. Is there some kind of resort that we could get a day pass for that has a decent beach area?

In Amber cove we did the VIP lifestyle all-inclusive beach day and really liked it, although i would not call it a beach. But it was definitly VIP and worth the money for a very nice day. The food and Drinks there where great. There is also a taxi stand at Amber cove, which i did not realize before. next time i might consider taking a taxi into tow and walking around.
curious about the beach, I've seen many people say what you said but no details

They accept the Abbott BinaxNOW™ COVID-19 Ag Card Home Test with eMed Telehealth if you are fully vaccinated Be sure it is the Home Test and not the Self Test. I got mine on eMed but I think they are out. I believe Optum has them. Here is a link: https://store.optum.com/shop/products/abbott-binaxNOW-COVID-19-ag-at-home-test-kit-3-pack/
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but if I bought this multipack can both myself and my boyfriend use tests out of the same pack?

They made all the Cuba changes at the same time. Are you saying you were not notified about Cuba? bc that is when your whole itinerary was changed.
No, I said it changed from Nassau.

We always do and share everything. It's fun to try different things

Could be many reasons, my guess it is roll over from Cuba changes....but who knows. Frankly I think you are better off now....
Yeah, it was originally Cuba and then Nassau. I may be alone here, but I actually really like Nassau lol, I know a lot of people don't. I guess my question is more is it normal for them to just not even inform you.

Can you give us more information?
Sorry, lol details do help.
When I booked our cruise, we were stopping in Nassau and now it says Princess Cays.

Just wondering if it was normal practice for Carnival to change a port of call without any notification lol. Just found it very odd.
