  1. Sorry, about the order. We had the Thom Ka Gai, the Spareribs, the Thai Beef Salad, the Spring Rolls, the Barramundi, the Szechuan Shrimp, the Yuzu Cheesecake, and the Mango Posset. The flavor was amazing, but I had to ask for more peppers, which were readily available.
  2. Last night they had the Mardi Gras Party, and we missed that, the bed was calling, but we did go to Tamarind, and the meal was amazing.
  3. I do not know the answer, but I will see what I can find out.
  4. Here is our latest video, covering the dining rooms when they were empty. https://youtu.be/wb_ZYptJXHc
  5. The sun is just rising on a beautiful morning. The seas are still about the same, and the ship is not moving much at all, The internet is still holding fairly well. Just changed time zones last night again. I will try to some more things posted. It has been a very good trip and I have been impressed by the quality of the guest lecturers on board.
  6. Today the Chef showed everyone how he makes Macadamia Nut Crusted Barundi, and then that and the filet were on the dinner for Gala night. They have a singer/song writer that sang a bunch of Carole King songs she was really good and then she stayed out to talk to the audience. We had a coffee talk with Captain, and he was very entertaining.
  7. It is Monday, and I was up early before the sun was anyway and walked 4 miles, I think the bronchitis is getting better and getting closer to my normal time zone is helping. The seas still have some decent swells but they aren't breaking like they were on the way our. Sunrise was beautifull. Last night we went to the comedy show, His first name was Sid, and he was really funny, My wife laughed till she hurt. My internet held up pretty well all day, so I was able to get some work done.
  8. Thanks I appreciate the feedback. I do what I can especially focusing on accessible things to do.
  9. Here is a demonstration of the elevator operations for those that are visually impaired.
  10. Here is a video we did about an affordable and accessible tour in Honolulu.
  11. Just had the daily Nav report from the Captain. Seas are still running 3 meters, but will subside in the upcoming days. On the ship there is a little movement but nothing compared with what we encountered on the way over.
  12. We are on our way back, and the seas are definitely better. My internet bandwidth this morning is 4.35 down and 5.12 up which is very acceptable. In Hilo, we went to the Volcano Park and to Rainbow Falls, it was a very interesting day, we probably paid more than we needed to, but it was just 4 of in a van. I had to utilize the Medical Center, I knew what the problem was, but I needed some prescription medicine to treat bronchitis. It was $99.00 to see the doctor, and then the price of the medicine. They did do a covid test and it was negative. By the time we were done with that it was about 10:30 or so and then we went off and found a few tours operators but none would go with a really small group. One of the operators arranged for someone with a taxi to take us, though they didn't really have the permit they need to operate in the park. There is a free shuttle to the Farmers Market that runs frequently and a HOHO bus that you can catch to tour downtown and to do some beach tours.
  13. We are just getting set up in the harbor on Kona. The water seems very calm and so tendering should not be a big issue.
  14. I am sure we will try using the city bus next time. I am going to work on a guide using the HOHO system and identifying the accessible options to think about at each stop.
  15. We were on Maui and took the bus from the port to the other side of the Island. Easy connections and a beautiful drive.
  16. The weather both yesterday and today was really good. We did the red line this morning, and Cheryl had a bad night so we just made the circuit and got off at the Aloha Tower and walked back to the ship. It is looking rainy but we will see.
  17. Watch the full adventure here: https://youtu.be/9X0gngRaDnM
  18. Yesterday, we were in Honolulu, and again today. Yesterday, we just purchased passes for two days on the HOHO bus. Yesterday, we went to the SE part of the island on the Blue line, I would highly recommend that trip. The scenery is amazing. We did stop at the Aquarium and while it is small, it was very interesting, and it is only 5 dollars for seniors or individuals with disabilities. Today we are doing the red line which is mostly historical and tourist destinations.
  19. Here is a picture from the ship of the Napali Coast from the Koningsdam yesterday. This is a rare treat since cruising Napali takes special permission.
  20. Here is a link to the presentation Kristen did about the whales.
  21. Food pictures and menus are coming as fast as I can get to them, Yesterday we cruised the Napali coast and I shot video of that, including a whale right next to the ship.
  22. Here is an interview with Rene, the Hotel Manager on the Koningsdam. Watch the full video here: https://youtu.be/_i2MuGclAzA #HollandAmericaLine #CruiseLife #AccessibilityAtSea
