As someone with over 17 yr living in STT and STX I do not advise going over to STJ unless it is a ship sponsored tour or you plan to leave STJ at least 3 hours before sail away.
The ferry ride is a good 15 min ride and and then you have to factor in STT traffic and rush our is no joke especially with several ships in. The poster right above me gave some better options.

By time I get back to my cabin I dont even want to think about food. Besides that they taste like crap. I just throw them in the trash as soon as I see them.
And yes the old ones did have mint also.

I don't want to face the penalty if I have to cancel or change our reservation.
It's just $50...well PP

Thanks for giving us your opinion. I do NOT like huge crowds and disorganization (they've been doing this for years you'd think they'd have a better way of executing everything by now) and I also don't like the idea of waiting HOURS in line for a concert so I think that kills any chance of my booking
Ditto! I would be heated if I had to wait in line for a concert that I paid to have premium seating at! This isn't their first cruise so this thing should be like a well oiled machine by now!

I get what you're saying, but is it okay for a charity to collect money and not render services promised simply because it's a charity? Eventually that line of thinking is going to cost them and they may not get all the support they desire because of a bad rep.
I totally agree with you. I would be pissed if I was the OP and I would share how pissed I was with everyone. But asking for $ back, nah, I would not do that.
I am glad people are sharing b/c I have been trying to encourage DH to go on this with me. But I LOATHE chaos and a lack of disorganization. I will spear myself from this experience.

I am not a huge TJ supporter but do you all realized that this cruise is a charity event hence the inflated prices. I also don't like confusion and unfilled promises but seriously disputing a charge with the CC company for a charity event is a bit harsh.
Writing a letter to the foundation would be a better route.

Thanks for posting. I went to an HBCU (but left after 1 yr for a more traditional college) and was interested in booking this cruise some time in the future. I really appreciate hearing your feedback! So far this does not sound like it's going to be a good story though ;)

does anyone know what the cost is to rent the golf carts?
he told me that all carts are $80 but reading back in this form I have heard of people paying $60 and or $70 so I don't know if the rates have been going up.

He's already having a dip in profits due to the port being closed for an extended time period
Maybe I should have said permanent dip. Anyway, all is good as he has responded to the other poster so I am sure things will be just fine. (even if it takes 4 emails to smooth it out!)

I would caution everyone, I recently prepaid for a Golf Cart with Nathan, unfortunately our cruise decided to skip GT, I have emailed Nathan to get a refund but no response. I guess that's the risk of booking something outside the cruise ship.
Damn it?! Are you kidding me! He already charge my CC and I am supposed to go there mid May. I highly doubt we are going as I do not think the issue with GT will be resolved for months. I was just coming on here about seeing how he is with refunds and saw your post. Oh well I hope he is ready to see a dip in his profits b/c I will be sure to tell everyone about this when they ask about him on this board. (That is of course if he does not respond to me.)
Cloud 9 Spa Balcony Cabin???

Deck 12 breeze balcony cabins do not have a cover. For that reason we paid for 12 but demanded a deck 11 (11226) on the Breeze this past May.
