We sailed Indy last summer for 14 nights. It was fabulous how many people dressed up! Definitely plan on it! We ate in the MDR for each of the formal nights and dressed up too!

Did I understand correctly, you were charged a $228 fee to use the ATM?
No! I tried to delete but could not. My husband can't read our bank statement and was in a frenzy. Sorry!
Nothing to see here folks - I tried to delete all I could!

Just returned from 14 night Indy (June 4-18). We took our 17 and 18 year old. We all loved this "sample" of Europe. The first and last days were not spent outdoors but the rest of the time was great weather!
No drink packages for us, we took on 4 bottles of wine (2 rooms) and are Diamond. I think we bought 6 drinks all week
There was a Voom sale and I had internet for $127 or so for the entire time. We have two new dogs and my dad had just had back surgery so we appreciated being online
We did the laundry bag $30 and sent a few things for pressing up front and dry cleaned one item. I brought 9 dresses (easy to pack) and wore 8. We rented tuxes for the guys so that helped. We went to the buffet and Johnny Rockets and wore shorts.
The ports were amazing. We hiked the Rock of Gibraltar, took a train to Monte Carlo and wandered. Took private tours for Rome and Florence/Pisa, had a "down" day in Toulon where we wandered town, went to the beach in Malaga and did a private lunch tour in Lisbon.

We used the bag on our 14 day trip on Indy. We sent undies and shirts mainly. We had one of my son's shirts ruined by what we assume was bleach stains, but everything else was fine. We took the shirt down to Guest Services and they provided a refund of the entire bag. It was a light red t-shirt with obvious streaks on it. We had some navy items in there with no issues.
I also took Tide sink packets and did my bras and a few other items in those. They worked fantastically. Highly recommend

We are on Indy now. We were in London and did a bus tour of Stonehenge on the way to the ship. We arrived just before 2 pm. It was pretty busy, much busier than I expected. We are Diamond so were escorted to a separate line for security screening and check in and that helped tons. I would estimate about 25 minutes from drop off until walking on ship
Had we not had the tour, we would have arrived as early as possible. Others from our roll call did and were through very quickly. You have paid for that Day 1 so get on the ship! [emoji2]

On Indy right now! Not a ton of kids but we're on a 14 night cruise. One of the staff told us there were 500 more passengers last week (7 night cruise) and 1000 more kids. There are people out and about each night. The shows are well attended and the casino has been open til
130-2 am. These people are sun worshippers! The pool areas are PACKED. I have never seen as many people at a pool. Ever

We did the Steps today! We took the #2 bus to the road to Jews Gate and climbed up. Hit the Steps, St Ms Cave and hiked down. The Steps were definitely a challenge but we loved the views!
I'll come back and post photos once we're home (or have better wifi) but wanted to say thanks to all who provided input!

Yesterday we were in Malaga Spain. We wanted to find a beach here and it couldn't have been easier. Once we got off the ship it was a 200 metre walk and we were on the beach. The pics of the beach are on my wife's phone so I will post them later.
Yay! This is our plan there so excited to hear this and see the pics! Thanks again for your report!

We were in Alaska for 4th of July and they held a big daytime party (we were at sea that day I believe) with a giant (GIANT) cake and a bunch of "special" performances - patriotic songs and a balloon drop. We had a blast!

2 weeks from today we board Indy to celebrate our son's high school graduation with a two week trip around Europe!

I will try to find more prices [emoji4]
If you see a price for a bucket of beer I would appreciate that one! Thank you for your time and review, just over 2 weeks to go for us!

7.00 - 7.30 is normally for unassisted disembarkation. Yes, in theory there'll be a line of taxi if you disembark unassisted before 7.30.
Self-disembarkation and a pre-booked taxi is a bit belt-and-braces for an 8.30am train (the station is five minutes away)
Tell the driver where you're heading by train - he can then drop you on the most convenient side of the station.
JB :)
Had to look the belt-and-braces up (LOL) but once I did and re-read I felt great about just getting a taxi in the line! Thank you so much!

We're traveling to Southampton via a tour with a stop at Stonehenge so will be delivered to Independence of the Seas (June 4)
When we disembark on June 18 will we need a pre-reserved taxi to get to the train station? Some folks on my roll call have said it's better to arrange one.
We plan to self-disembark w/two 24-26" suitcases and one carry on each (4 of us). We hope to catch an 8-8:30 train so plan to be off the ship 7-7:30. Will there be a line of taxis waiting?
Thank you!

Does the BOGO require you to eat both the first and second night? Or buy one of the first 2 nights, then use the "get one" later in the cruise?
There are some specials on our 14 day Indy cruise, but with only 2 specialty restaurants, I'm not sure we want a package of 3 or 5 or more. Thanks

There is a guy doing some updates on the current 14 day cruise on Indy. He's also using Periscope for video - search on that in title line and you'll find it. I know there has been a comedian thus far!

We arrived back this morning, Southampton has got to be the best port for disembarking
We elected to take our own bags off,
Caught the lift down to Deck 4 forward
No queue, walked straight off and out side in 5 minutes,
Less than 15 later and we had walked to the train station.
:)
What time was this? We have train tickets reserved and plan to do the same as you. We're hoping to catch an 8 am train to Gatwick. Thanks!

Anthem back May 11 - critique my plan please!
in East Coast Departures
Posted
We're on the 5 night Anthem May 6-11 (flying in May 4, still working front end).
My DH has a 1:30 flight from EWR. I am traveling on to WAS via Amtrak.
I plan to book the 9:56 a.m. train (with backup shown below, much easier to shift a train reservation than flight).
1) We self-disembark at approximately 7 am
2) Schedule Dial7 for 7:30 (?: do we tell them we plan to disembark and a different time?)
3) Our drop-off spot will be Airtrain Newark P4 so I can take it to Amtrak EWR station and DH can take other way to airport terminal
3a) IF we are delayed (only due to ship issues) and running late there is a 10:53/11:52 from Newark (not airport) Amtrak that I can log in and switch to - will it be a problem to ask Dial7 to change my drop-off in this case?
or
3b) We still go to Airtrain P4 and split, I just take the train to Newark Amtrak station (one stop) to catch the WAS bound train?
I've taken the train from NYC Penn to EWR, including the switch to the AirTrain so I'm familiar with the "if everything is on time" scenario. It's if there is an unexpected docking delay that I want feel comfortable about.
Thank you!
