I agree! That "bathroom" set up is just not my cup of tea. We also want a longer experience to help justify the expense of getting there.
I often wonder if the person responsible fot that design is stilling working? Unbelieveable really......
Maybe we will end up sailing on the same ship. It would be good to meet you after all this!

NCL will probably have summer 2016 Europe up next week while Royal is typically Spring. Looks like Carnival may be smack in the middle!
I'm not opposed to NCL either! I just don't want to sail on the Epic. For some reason it just doesn't appeal to me. Plus I was to sail more than just 7 days since it takes a lot to just get over there!
I have only sailed one time on NCL (Dawn out of Tampa). It was definitely not my favorite cruise but for the Med it is all about the itinerary :)

Oh, man the anticipation is killing me! At least I can't make any crack decisions since RCCL won't have their sailings up until lMarch/April.
Oh, I was still hoping for information around New Years. I am very anxious to see what is offered too.
I usually book over the New Year weekend with one of the large cruise only agencies that has a big sale. I booked my Oct sailing on the Serenade of the Seas on Jan 1, 2014 and got a fantastic rate so 2015 isn't out of the question - yet :)
So, I was hoping to see more 2016 itineraries before I decide whether or not to cruise in 2015 (if I see another great deal) :)
-
Yes, there are lots of options and if you visit TripAdvisor you can see reviews of others. Most have websites where you can view itineraries and pricing.
Enjoy Greece!

Hope the news comes soon!
I am anxious to see what both Carnival and RCI offer :D

A Med cruise is a wonderful opportunity to see new places. I have done 2 (just returned in October) and am planning to return in 2016. It doesn't have to be hectic and you can tour at your pace. Excursions can easily be booked independently and for the amount of time you want to spend :)
Go!!!!

I guess the fog delays are startng early this year :(
Too bad they didn't go ahead with plans to build a new pier in Manatee County years ago......
-
She's pulling into port right now! It's 1:50 pm
Wow, that was a long delay!
I had no fog at my house this morning but when I traveled south to work in St Pete it was really foggy

We had the best cruise on Serenade in the Med last year! I doubt anything could top it, but I'm hoping she has a great itinerary for 2016. Next year we are trying Oceania for the first time.
I agree and our cruise was the best so far too!
I really hope the Brilliance does the Med in 2016 :)

If DD goes fleet wide - it's a deal breaker for DH and I. We totally enjoy our fixed late seating,,,, having the same companions and the same servers each night. We've always been really lucky with our table pairings in the past at our requested tables for 8.
It seems to me that if DD is designed to entice a younger company then having the DD on Quantum, Allure, and Oasis will accomplish their mission. These are the 3 ships with the most amenities that would appeal to the younger crowd..
I agree with you and hope it doesn't go fleet wide either!
There are those that like the mega ships and some that don't so why not two types of dining. I love early traditional for all the reasons mentioned :)

The one that I use is sea scanner dot com.
It is actually very reliable.....

Hi Karen,
I have sailed in 3073 (Jewel) and 4555 (Serenade) and both cabins were super quiet.
If you choose deck 4 you may want to stay at least a few cabins from the Centrum :)
-
Me too!
I was hoping RCL would post their's since Celebrity has their'so posted. I'm not that impressed with some of the celebrity itineraries.
I wasn't impressed either and you pay a premium to sail on Celebrity compared to RCI.
I had such a great cruise on the Serenade in October that I was hoping to start planning the next trip! I guess I need to patient

Feb/Mar/Apr 2015.
Bummer, I was hoping a new trend had started. It is always nice on my budget to have a year before final payment is due ;)
-
Do we know when Europe 2016 will be released? I must have missed it in one of the posts?
Just wondering if all of the cruise lines will start releasing sooner than in the past.....
-
You may want to check prices again since there seems to be some price drops on RCI recently.....
-
thanks!
Del Senato is still my all-time favorite but I like to try other places from time to time, and Albergo Cesari had a killer rate for a 7-night stay.
I hope you enjoy it!
I just booked the Cesari again for next year at a wonderful rate for 2 nights :) I was going to try somewhere different but the price was too good to pass up....

Based on port schedules listing Brilliance I've figured this:
6/7/2016 Barcelona
6/8 Villefranche
6/9 Livorno
6/10 Civitavecchia
6/11 Salerno
6/12 Sea
6/13 Venice
6/14 Venice
6/15 Ravenna (not confirmed just based on the past couple years, would much prefer Dubrovnik)
6/16 Kotor ??
6/17 Sea
6/18 Sea
6/19 Barcelona
6/20 Cannes
6/21 Livorno
6/22 Civitavecchia
6/23 Sea
6/24 Sea
6/25 Athens
6/26 Kusadasi
6/27 Santorini
6/28 Sea
6/29 Salerno
6/30 Sea
7/1/2016 Barcelona
You can work the alternating schedule out before and after June. This is of course if there are no deviations from most recent past years. Of course now my mom wants to travel earlier in the summer so if not Vista it will be the Venice sailing for us. I would prefer the other personally but she is worried about the heat :(
I love all the anticipation and then planning. It's half the fun of travel for me!
Oooh, I like the Venice itinerary too! Plus I would much prefer Ravenna to Dubrovnik! I've never beed there and more of Italy always makes me happy :)
I will be watching for a May 2016 option.....

Yeah, I think the Radiance Class is just a great series of ships, with an enjoyable size and great sea-views! :)
Maybe she operates in Med again in 2016, but I am wondering which ship will sail the 12 night Baltic/Norway & iceland sailings from Harwich than?? Vision? Seems she will be replaced by Brilliance on that itinerary...
Or would Navigator or Adventure work from harwich? I don't have any clue whether the port of Harwich could handle ships carrying more than 3000 passengers...
Or could Vision sail from Harwich??
Serenade seems to operate from Copenhagen and Stockholm again...
I am also not a true fan of Oasis and Quantum Class - but if there are appealing itineraries and the prices are ok (at least on Quantum), I also might think about it...
It had been a while since I had sailed on the Jewel OTS and the Serenade was just fantastic when we sailed in October. I really like the Radiance class the best too!
The Rhapsody and Vision have some nice itineraries in 2015 and I might just book one of them - depending on what is announced for 2016.

Allure and Anthem both show up on the Rome port schedule as well.
We are considering the Brilliance Greek Isles (I've been able to cobble together dates based on other port schedules) if the Carnival Vista new-ship pricing is outrageous.
The Brilliance would work for me! I just returned from a 9 night Serenade cruise a couple of weeks ago and it was just perfect - service and food were top notch!
I really don't want to sail the Med on a mega ship but if the Vista is priced right - I may have to consider it :) Looking past the Allure and Anthem for now.....
-
The poster who values ceiling space said that wouldn't be till January.
Ya, I'm just hoping to hear something sooner ;)
-
It will be about the Vista
I hope so too!

Just had our first msc cruise and when we were disembarking we was told to go to reception and was told our card had been rejected there was money in the account this was very embarrassing and we was not the only ones there lucky my husband had cash on him, has anyone else experienced this with MasterCard.
I have never had a problem but I always notify the issueing bank of my travel dates before I leave home - so that the card isn't rejected.
If you notified them - then this is the first time I have read about a rejection.
-
Keeping figures crossed that the Vista will sail 2016 the Med :D

Thanks for posting this! I don't see any info on when the sailing will be available for booking?
Based on what I see I will be waiting for RCI and March to decide. The 9 night Serenade OTS sailing that I did in October was perfect and didn't require 2 weeks off :)
