I am so new at this as I do not like to fly. I booked a cruise next April in Tampa but want to fly to sarsota two days before I board in Tampa. I looked up one way non stop flights to Sarasota with Jet blue and they have no flights from Jan on. Does that mean they stopped that route. they have been flying there for a while. I am beginning to panic so I would appreciate any info anyone has. Like I said I do not know how flights are set up.
Thank you in advance
marie
Also, consider flying into Tampa and driving to Sarasota - but only if it is a better deal. Then again a car may come in handy for 2 days.....

Loved the first thread and I will follow this one closely too now that I have the Adventure booked :D
Robyn, it looks like you're sailing with us next year so I hope you drop by the thread soon to chat. There are a few of us that haven't sailed on her before :)
-
I am actually okay with the thread being closed. I believe it has definitely served it's purpose and it has been running consistently for 7 years!!! :p
There are now so many of us that love our AOS - we can simply respond to questions as they arise.
CHEERS to everyone that kept the thread alive for so many years!!! WE did a great job!!!! :D
That thread was the reason I finally booked the Adventure. Figured that I better sail her before they move her!
Robyn, thanks for all the great info you have provided and for all the posts of this cruise. It was really enjoyable and I can't wait for 2014 :D

I will email all the instructions right now to you. Have fun with this.
Got it Ann! Thanks so much :D

Ann, I just volunteered to get a slot pull organized for our Dawn sailing. Would love to get your spreadsheet and thanks for all the ideas and tips!

I just keep coming back to this thread over and over again because I can't get enough!
I just booked cabin 7592 for a cruise in 2014 and thought I remember you mentioning that was your cabin. Did you post pictures or it and how did you like it?
-
I just got that email too and was going to post it.
This should help a lot of people book their flights for future cruises :)
-
I hope someone knows the answer and posts it. I just booked the Jewel for March 2014 and would like to know :)

This message is now posted on their website:
On October 22, 2012, we will open our schedule for sale through May 31, 2013. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently.
Works great for my cabin mate and our Rhapsody cruise :D

It helped until I saw the pricing!:eek::mad:
Oh no. I seem to read this a lot lately so waiting on Southwest may not be the way to go. All the good deals seem to be by booking later.
I often try to use them to fly from FL to TX to visit family and Continental and American are always significantly cheaper. Checking a bag becomes a non issue and I can pick my seat ;)

It took me two days of bidding. I started at $90 for a 4 star in downtown, then added city center, then added 3.5 stars, then 3 stars. When that didn't work I went up to $95 and added the area Brothel (knowing I didn't want to stay there, but that they don't have higher than a 2.5 star hotel in that area) which allowed me to bid again. I bid $98 and was rejected. So I waited until the next day an starts out at $100, 3 stars+ and it was accepted. So I put in the same for our return cruise date and again it was accepted. :) hope that helps!
PS-Dates won are May 12-13 and May 21st
Thanks for the additional information! You worked hard for that deal so congratulations!!!
We are arriving on May 22 for 2 nights so maybe I should start the bidding now....
-
Southwest extended their schedule through April 12 today in case it helps anyone.
Hope to see May soon :)

Got The Mayflower Park Hotel in downtown Seattle for $100/night (3 star) just now....saved $89/night (3 nights) :)
Would like to know about what price you started at and how many zones, etc.....

The captions are hilarious! We just need sound so you can put voices to each of them :D
I just love all of your pictures!!!!
-
Everything sounds "yummy" and thanks for posting the information!
I can't wait for the debut on our Rhapsody cruise on May 24 :D
-
A few cabins did have saggy mattresses, and we were told they are being replaced in stages.
Thanks! Keeping my fingers crossed that they are all replaced by May 2013 ;)

we are booked for a Voyage of the Glaciers cruise with Princess , Southbound. We did this cruise in 2006 only we did the Northbound route. On the northbound route we did College Fjords, and we really loved that . We can't get the cabin and the date we want next yr. We had to book the southbound route. will we be disappointed with Hubbard Glacier? Any help would be appreciated.
The southbound voyages include both Hubbard Glacier and Glacier Bay which is a fantastic itinerary :D Enjoy!

Thanks so much for posting the pictures! Can't wait to sail on the Rhapsody in May :)
I keep seeing pictures of beds with saggy mattresses so I'm guessing they didn't replace them?

We sailed in D707 on the Island and experienced no noticable vibration at all. We weren't trying to catch up on lost time though. It was smooth sailing from Vancouver to Whittier :D
The aft deck is the perfect place for viewing and when there was narration we could usually hear it from the end cabins - when those passengers were viewing from their balconies and had the speakers turned up :)

JetBlue will be extending their schedule through February 13, 2013 tomorrow (Sun. 5/20) at noon.
Ya, I got an email from them and got excited for nothing! I need April dates so it looks like it will be a while :(
-
Also, does anyone know when the next block of Jet Blue will be available?
I haven't been able to find anything on the website. Anyone?
-
Yes, that looks like a great cabin but how do you think the noise will be around the elevators? All of those cabins look good but just worried about the noise.
Anyone have any comments on noise level around elevators?
Thanks,
Nanc
Although I haven't sailed on the Caribbean Princess yet (cabin E416) I have sailed in many similar locations on a lot of ships. Never had a problem with extra noise around the elevators. Often times I find the ships have a little alcove area for the elevator area and passengers don't actually spill out in front of cabin doors anyway :)
So unless I book an aft balcony I prefer to be center ship - near the elevator :D

Some more of the Caribbean Princess; E407 & E408
Theo
Don't see those but I like what I see of E416! We're booked in that cabin in April :D
-
Love this thread and thanks so much for doing this.
We just booked the Caribbean Princess for April and will be in E416. I will definitely take a picture and send it to you as well as any other cabins in the area (if I can get them) :)
We moved to E411 on the Sapphire based on your picture so thanks again!
RCCL Ship Tour to Snorkeling Buck Island
in St. Croix

I have been wondering about this trip too and from I read on the website the snorkel time was only 1 hour. So, a lot of traveling. Did it seem like enough time?
