  1. Hi

I love the Eurodam and was looking at the circle of Hawaii, the only inside cabins which are left which look reasonable are 1063,1069,8037 6066, 10043 and10044 but I am worried about noise from the first 4 and the last 2 are very small. Just wondering if I should look at the Ooosterdam, similar itiniary.

    Thanks

  2. Hi

I am looking at a cruise on the Eurodam for Sept/Oct 2019, there seems to be alot of cabins unavailable seeing as its 19 months away. Is there anyway I can find out if there are any charters or groups on board?

    Thanks

  3. I hope the reviews are "good" as we are holding cabin 2711. One deck above and a bit further back. Rotterdam is our favorite ship. She may be older, but she has such "class"! We sailed her last year for 42 days in a lanai cabin and loved it. This time we opted for a cabin with a "shower" only and the view of the wake. Our up coming cruise is for 27 days.

    Hi

Have you stayed in this cabin yet? I've booked this cabin after reading on deckplan genius that this was an excellent cabin. I have seen read that there is alot heavy engine vibration and 24/7 lighting in the covered area of the stern rail. Just wondering whether to change cabins?

    Thanks

  4. Hi

Sailed on the Eurodam in Dec and loved her. We are self employed and a cruise this year is going to be impossible.

Been looking for a relaxing cruise for 2019 and I thought I had found an itiniary I really liked, a 14 days Southern Caribbean on the Rotterdam. I had a look at the reviews and some videos and I thought, oh not so bad. I booked the cruise yesterday with a TA using a future cruise deposit.

I have since decided to do further research and it doesn't sound to good the state the ships in, whats she going to be like in another 18 months? I don't mind that there is limited entertainment etc, I can entertain myself. I also like that the ship is quiet.

I wondering whether to cancel and book the Niew Amsterdam, the itiniary is nearly the same as I went on last time, but at least she is in good order.

    Any thoughts please

  6. Eurodam is often used by large groups - check the schedule posted on this HAL board which tries to track many of the large group cruises, and see if this particular date and ship is affected. Or the Volendam for that matter too, but chances are much higher for the Eurodam sharing space with large groups.

I think a Panama itinerary is better on the smaller ship since it is easier to move from side to side, front to back so you can take in all views. But there are plenty of open viewing spots on the Eurodam too - just takes longer to reach them.

Agree, the Tamarind restaurant gives the Eurodam an edge.

Location of the interior Pinnacle on the Volendam is of no concern for us since it is dark in the evenings anyway - no window views and the overall space and graciousness of the setting works just fine for us. But the Volendam is such a classic "old" HAL ship my own choice would be to keep sailing them as long as they are still with us.

Final answer: either. Great help, right? Are the itineraries the same?

However, I put the Voldendam right up there with the Zaandam as our two most favorite HAL ships.

Itinaries the same except Volendam has an extra day at Aruba
