  1. We leave for Breakaway in just under three weeks. I have no doubt that we will have a great vacation with countless positive memories. As always, we will buy plenty of bottled water because water is water and it is sold on board. Soda is a completely different problem. I drink far more Diet Coke and Diet Dr. Pepper than I should (it is my morning coffee for those of you that relate to that). Maybe that's a good analogy, if the cruise only offered hot tea and told the coffee drinkers that they could not carry it on.

In the past I carried on what was unavailable on board. If it was offered on board I would gladly pay for my desired soda; lugging soda to the pier is a pain in the butt.

Having said all of this, if this is not your issue I can see how this seems completely overblown, but that is true of most issues we don't relate to.

  2. $10 is actually one of the lowest minimums one can usually find in most mainstream casinos. I know that some places will offer $5 on some games like blackjack etc but $10 is usually the lowest I see.

I have visited many casinos (Vegas, Atlantic City, Native American) not sure what makes one "mainstream," in my experience $5 tables are quite common. I also cruise most of the cruise lines marketed to North America and $5 is absolutely the norm.

  3. We cruised on her earlier this month and I can say that the have both three card (I played) and let it ride. The table minimums are $10 or higher on all tables including roulette (and they did not offer a low limit day). We thought the ship was great, in fact we felt this was our best cruise in a long time, but the casino was a low point. I like to make smaller bets to extend my casino time while maintaining a budget, the table limits made quick work of the allotted funds.

  4. What does that mean? You know a lot of people Cruise Norwegian because you don't have to dress up and be all snooty and pompous.

Judging people by what they wear is snooty and pompous. Wear what ever makes you happy but don't assume I'm snooty and pompous because I choose to dress up (or not).

  5. Pre cruise, we stayed at the Copenhagen Marriott. We made prior arrangements for transportation from the airport to the hotel which expedited our arrival at the hotel. Our room was ready when we arrived (9:00 AM), so we were able to put our luggage in the room and set off to explore Copenhagen.

We are also staying in the Marriott before our cruise on the 20th. May I ask from whom did you arrange transport?

  6. We enjoyed watching the 'pageant' on each formal night. Most men wore dark suits and tie, and most women were in dark cocktail dresses. I wore a LBD and my husband wore his navy linen suit and we fit in fine. We did see some tie-less or coat-less men. I only saw 1 or 2 men in tuxedos; there were a fair amount of women in floor-length dresses (perhaps recycled bridesmaid gowns?), and the teens tended to dress down more (sundresses and cowboy boots were spotted a few times).

    Thanks!
