  1. I'm sure they didn't come up with this policy just for the fun of it, I would venture to guess that the frequency of draining the pool, cleaning and refilling it after each 'incident' just got to be too much of a pain for the staff to handle.

Then there is the Ecoli, someone gets sick and spreads it throughout the ship and it's all X's fault.

  2. Planning on group taking the Equinox next Oct 15 and Celebrity is giving us one perk.... obviously the drink package.... can't understand why anyone would buy a 2nd perk? If you bought the prepaid tips for $15 each a day.... that would be $300 which is more than what you would spend just paying the tips? If you took the $300 OBC you would be paying $15 x 2 a day which is $300. Am I missing something???

Well, what ever your are missing I'm missing as well. Our cruises are usually 14 days. Tips 12.00 x 2 x14 days= 336.00, perk costs 15.00x2x14=420.00. OBC perk 300.00 per cabin, again it costs 15.00x2x14=420.00. Internet, we get 180 min. per cabin and that's plenty. Beverage pkg. not a big plus as we are not drinkers and the other beverages, we pay as we go. So, give me the stripped out cruise fare and let me look after my spending. This may not work for everyone but it works for us.

  3. My thoughts, many years ago I worked for a Supermarket chain and once a year the local magazine would do a poll, best deli, best bakery etc. Well we would go and pick up a load of entry forms and have everyone in the office would spend an hour or two filling in the info. For a couple of years we were voted best in every dept. Then the competition figured it out. So now when I see Voted #1, I smile and remember the old days.

  4. I have done quite a bit of research in the past' date=' but I never found a US agent who would let me book in Canadian funds.

I hope one day, I can find out who you use![/quote']

Me too, sometime ago I did read there was one in Florida, but no name was given

  5. Hi, while aboard the Eclipse (Dec21/Jan04) I looked at booking British Isles (June9) cruise. Checked the pricing on line from the icafe, inside gty, $CDN, 2069.00 plus 306.00 tax, total 2375.00 X2-4750.00. Went to Future Cruises to book and the pricing was $CDN 1979.00, plus 306.00 tax plus 270.00 port fees. total 2555.00 x2-5110.00. Booking onboard promo was 150.00 OBC. So where's the benefit of booking onboard.
