Thanks for the replies
I read up some other ships they could be removed but it doesn't look like it on the Epic it seems. Looks like we'll get ourselves some travel bed rails and our 2 year old can sleep on the sofa bed.
thanks again!
When our son was little, we rolled extra towels and tucked them under the fitted sheet. Worked perfectly

We used Cocoa Beach Shuttle last month and I wouldn’t recommend. They were over an hour late to pick us up at MCO and then waited 45 minutes longer for another couple. From the time we landed, until we checked into our PC hotel it was nearly 4 hours.

We are booked on the Bliss in Dec 23 for a 15 day Miami to LA PC cruise. The ports seem the same except we get off in LA. There is a reverse of this the next two weeks, then back again. The Bliss mainly stays on the west coast for Mexican Rivera and AK cruises.
I plan on having a follow along thread here, and will invite others to join in when we get a few weeks from leaving.
The new Panama City cruise terminal is supposed to be finished before the start of December. That will be a report in itself.
We looked at that one as well, but DH wanted to go to Seattle. So we are doing the 21 day on the Encore

We just booked the 22 day sailing departing on 10/29/2023 from Seattle on the Encore. NCL had a great Memorial Day sale and we nabbed a balcony stateroom with the angular balcony at a great price.

This is almost the exact reverse of the one we have booked. You will have to post after, and let us know how it went. Especially if there are things you recommend.

The above show unavailable for me, so I just ordered these from Amazon to take on the Joy in July:

Those look good too. I may have to try them on my next cruise. It’s 21days and I’m already concerned about getting my caffeine fix first thing in the morning.

OBC is the worst possible use of points,as the others have pointed out.
best use is cabin upgrade. Check the difference in Inside rates vs ocean view. 30,000 points to go up one category or 60,000 for double upgrade. Highest you can upgrade to is a BA. You cannot upgrade from an X category, unless that’s changed recently.
use you CC onboard and receive 3 points/$ then get a statement credit for charges. One way you get zero new points, the other you get triple points for your next redemption.
BTW, there is a sticky dedicated to the NCL M/C
Just did this. We booked an OV for a 21 day Panama Canal voyage and used points to upgrade to a balcony. Only took about 10 minutes on the phone and saved over $2000

I was able to unpack once and travel to a variety of wonderful new places.
The fabulous views of the huge expanse of nothing but ocean. It always makes me realize how much more there is to discover.

I’m really looking forward to The Choir of Man. Also, is there a Syd Norman’s on the Encore?

There are so many different types of coffee packaging these days, and I'm already paying a fortune for this trip, so out of principle I refuse to bring my own supples. If they only have decaf on my trip, they will be hearing from my lawyer.
I actually only brought my own for my husband’s benefit.
If they only had decaf on our May cruise, he would be swimming to shore each morning. 😂. I’m not a fan of NCL coffee.

I saw some videos of the rooms and they had coffee machines in them. If you bring your own, are they k cups?
Thanks in advance!
I prefer strong coffee, so I brought these with me.

Since the cruise is 21 days I wouldn’t think you’d have too many families with small children but I’m not positive. Also, I wouldn’t expect it to be at 100% capacity but again I don’t really know for sure. I’d love to read some trip reports on this itinerary but I haven’t found any.
I haven’t found any trip reports either, other than what @YVRteacher posted above. I know we have some different ports, but it’s nice to get an idea.
I found a roll call for the 2024 cruise which is quite active. Hopefully one of them will write a review/trip report.- 2

Hi,
It gives us plenty of time to plan and dream about it. This will be the longest cruise we’ve taken. We’re trying to decide what type of cabin to book. We had a Haven booked for a 7 night Caribbean on the Escape but we wanted to do something on our bucket list instead. We can’t afford a Haven cabin on this ship. I’m hoping since it’s a 21 night cruise that it will not be at 100% capacity and we will be able to spend some time at the pool. I think I’m going to book a balcony cabin. Which type of cabin did you book? I didn’t see a roll call yet but I hope we get an active one. It’s so much fun to get to know everyone.
Thanks
Sue
We booked a balcony cabin. We looked into the Haven also, but couldn’t justify the cost difference. We wanted to be able to spend on the excursions instead.
I plan on buying Vibe passes when they become available, that way we can avoid some of the crowds. Although, also hoping it’s not at 100% occupancy. Do you know if these long cruises are usually full?

We just booked this cruise. Definitely a bucket list trip. Only 657 days to go! 😳

We applied in October 2022 and received them in less than 6 weeks. However, my photo was on my husband’s passport and his was on mine. We had to start from the beginning and pay for expedited processing/shipping to receive the correct ones in time. At least we didn’t have to pay the fees again

Our first cruise we do not know to do online checkin prior to the cruise. We had our confirmation number, and our passports. The process took an extra five minutes. Have your credit card ready that you are using to set up your account, also
Have a great time ⚓️

Not really something you need to bring, but..
Hubby and I always cross-pack our luggage, with half of our clothes in each suitcase. This way, if one bag should go missing, we would still have something to wear.

Normally you receive an email from NCL (or your travel agent if booked through one). However, this time I did not receive one. I called NCL, and they resent the email.

I would ask on this thread. A lot of helpful information

I agree! Direct correlation 🥃

I like using a towel band so I can easily find my chair when I return from getting a drink or such. I have a tendency to not pay attention to exactly where I was sitting
