  1. The ship's photo studio called. They offered to set up  portrait session. "No thanks,
I said, "Don't look good enough". "We can make you look good", they responded. "Not unless you are plastic surgeons", said I.

The meet and greet was fun. Thanks to Kathy(lawdawg04) for setting it up. We talked to Jim and Jennifer there.(jonesnewl)

Cruise Director Silas ran "beauty" contest for cruise staff and asked me to judge. I picked Silas. "What do I win?", he asked. I said he already bribed me to pick him.

  2. If you gotta go and the bathrooms in the suite are too far away, there is a 3rd toilet off of the entrance

My weight varies by 10 pounds on this scale when underway. It under weighs and over weighs you.

  3. Backtracking a bit. On the way down to Pier 66, we ran into a traffic jam. It took us
30  minutes to get past the last 3 stop lights before Alaska Way. We then ran into a train. Not literally.

We had lunch @ Magaritaville. Four of us could not finish the volcano nacos although we got down to the magma.

On deck a family was struggling to take a group selfie so I offered to help. "You're not going to run away with our phone?", the father asked me. "Don't worry, I'm so old your kid could catch me", I replied.

In the Haven Lounge I met Maravit, our butler from our last cruise. Have you ever had a hug from a butler?

No workstation space so I've taken over part of the vanity.

    The ship's internet is best @ 3AM.

    Going back to sleep now.

  4. We are finally aboard and in our first DOS (not Disk Operating System for you nerds).
The cabin is huge, over 3.5 times the size our first apartment in Berkeley when Noreen and I were in college. Daughter and BF are on their first cruise. Our treat. They are having a blast. So are we.
I'll post a few pictures. Any questions?

Great they weren’t full and had a room to move you to

They moved us 2 doors down.

Despite what my countdown clock says, I haven't (yet) sailed.
Lynette C. who just finished sailing today in the same suite we reserved told me she left me a "surprise" hidden in the cabin. I hope it is not a chocolate covered strawberry.

  6. This is (hopefully) another of my live trip reports on a Bliss cruise. On my last trip report CC went down
    in the middle of it.
We are now ensconced at the Seattle Pan Pacific Hotel. My Fitbit reports
that we walked over 10K. Mostly up and down which is good training for the ship stairs.
    Tomorrow we board. Can't wait.
Here are touristy pics of Seattle, the Emerald City, a gem.

  7. I asked the pre cruise concierge about complimentary Margaritaville lunch for Haven guests on embarkation day and this is the response. "Please note lunch at Margaritaville on embarkation day will only be complimentary if the Concier"ge onboard deems it necessary to open up additional seating for our Haven guests."

What is your cruise date? We are on the Bliss May 19 to Alaska in a H4 and our range for a DOS bid was $1000 to $2000 PP. This makes the minimum bid higher than what was offered to you.

is the 2nd BR same in size as the H4 ( 2 bdrm suite)?  Also is it very windy when you go out on the balcony? My  only concern is that they assign the room I would prefer to be on deck 17 and not 18.  deck 19  has the  public sun deck overhead-- wonder how much noise comes from that.

On the big bid thread rockfish got bid range $1000-2000 pp for May 19.  Guess no one wants to pay $21,000 a week for either DOS that week.

We have 4 persons in a 2 BR suite (DW, DD and her BF). Already paid about 12K. Received an offer to bid for an upgrade to the DOS for a range of 1-2K PP (total 2-4K for the first 2 only). I bid.
I'll let you know  if I win and how the DOS compares to the 2 BR.
