The avocado toast made me chuckle -- those doggone Millenials are taking over the world and breakfast, LOL!!
-
Per something John Heald posted it is supposed to be a little Bluetooth speaker -- not the worst idea, anyway!
-
Oh brother.
This will stir everybody up and into a frenzy, LOL

Have sailed on Carnival many times, and have sailed on RCCI once.
That one RCCI cruise was virtually identical to a Carnival cruise from an experience standpoint. There were no fewer or more partiers on the Royal ship than on the Carnival ships I have sailed.
IMHO, the determining factor is the length of the cruise: shorter cruises tend to attract a younger, more rowdy crowd and are more parti-rrific, LOL!;)
-
It's totally random from my perspective.
Our next cruise is on Fascination out of San Juan in 60 days -- times opened up without fanfare about 2 months ago.
However, times for our December/New Year's Eve cruise on Paradise out of Tampa -- almost 3 months after the Fascination date -- opened at the same time.
Maybe it depends on the embarkation port?

We are thinking about doing this excursion (through Carnival) --zip lining is something I've always wanted to try, but I am chicken! Now at age 63 I figure it's now or never, but very nervous!
Anyone who has been on this specific zip line experience -- what do you think about an "old lady" trying it?
TIA!
-
You won't be the only one, but you will stand out! Maybe in a nice way!
Every cruise we go on it is more and more casual. Last cruise (over New Year's Eve) there was one guy with a tux.
-
Yes -- you are free to leave and return.
-
No regular balconies aboard the Paradise! :(
We love the convenience of sailing out of Tampa where we live on the Paradise and have had a blast on New year's Eve cruises especially.
But, the Paradise is SOOOO boring: no balconies, no steakhouse, no upgraded dining like Guy's, no Alchemy. The worst is the lack of balconies -- ugh.
I can hardly wait till the Miracle (?) comes in February 2018!
-
Seriously -- wear what you are comfortable with.
DH and I tend to dress up a little for dinner, but that is our choice!
Some people have wayyyy too much free time on their hands to be so absorbed in policing others' clothes and shoes. I'll bet they could even have a good time if they didn't have to expend so much energy on Fashion Patrol.
Enough already.
-
They'll make you absolutely anything you want in the Alchemy Bar -- they do complete non-alcoholic renditions of all of their offerings, or they'll do something else completely off-the-cuff for you. They're the best!

We're on this itinerary in early October -- so far haven't been notified of any changes, but still 3 months out. Guess they could dock in Soufriere if Castries port is out of commission..?
-
On which date will you be sailing? We are on the 8OCT cruise.
We're on the 8th too!

Apologize if I missed posts about this...
On all of our previous cruises the hours for Sea Day Brunch were 8:30 - 1:00/1:30.
Received an email from Carnival about "all the fun things to do on your cruise" :) and it mentioned Sea Day Brunch from 10 - 1. Yikes, way too late for us, as we really do it for breakfast-ish. (Hate Lido buffet, LOL)
Did they change the hours or was this just a typo?
(This is for Fascination in October, so only 1 sea day)
TIA.
-
But, to OP's original question -- where can you see who is booked on a given cruise? TIA
-
Don't knock the 60s and 70s set -- DH and I can party like bosses!:D
That said, we just got off the Paradise over New Year's and were pleased to see it was a real cross-section of ages and cruise-styles.

I don't cruise for trivia -- can play trivia on boring, old land.
But whatever (literally) floats your boat I guess.....
-
So sorry for you, all the way around.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!:)
-
I prefer to be the one in the driver seat -- I do the research and then do everything online.
-
That's too many hoops for $50......
Plus, if you complete with Expedia you will have to go through them for any price reductions, changes, etc.
Hassle.

On Liberty in October we tried YTD for the first time. It was also our first experience with the American Table.
YTD:
We only waited one night (30") the first formal night. We just hung out in the Lobby bar until our pager went off, no big deal.
We lucked out the first night with an awesome wait team. So we requested them the rest of the cruise and had terrific service. We also bonded the first night with the bar server for our section, and tipped a little extra. We had outstanding bar service every night.
American Table:
Not a fan! We thought the menu was rather boring, with nothing truly interesting or unique. It was all prepared well and tasted OK, however.

Looking forward to more as we have not yet been on Sunshine!

Noticed the same thing.:o
I think they are still not completely done with their scheduling --I asked John Heald, but he is unavailable until after 2/20.

You are doing an awesome job with your review -- just the right amount of details, pictures, etc. Kudos! :)
We will be on the Breeze in October (different itinerary). Question: on Liberty the Blue Iguana and Red Frog were actually outside on Lido -- in your pics it looks as if on the Breeze the Red Frog is inside?
Thanks again for a great review!
Carnival Fascination review. No pics, just thoughts on the ship.

Loved your review -- thanks.
We're doing this cruise in 45 days -- we love the Fantasy Class ships!
Interested in what you did in St. Lucia -- SL and Barbados are new ports to us.
As of now, we are doing a Cosol all-day tour in St. Lucia, and a trip to Harrison's Cave in Barbados -- maybe a taxi ride to Mt. Gay Rum afterwards, since the cave tour is only 3 hours.
