While he did tests the problem was not with the his vaccine. The problem is that the manufacturer did not follow the correct process in manufacturing the vaccine and 120,000 contaminated doses were released.
Yes, exactly. And there are several other vaccines that were problematic: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/concerns/concerns-history.html

When my wife became a pharmacist there were 200 main drugs that she had to concern herself with. Many of those drugs are not even utilized any more. There are thousands of drugs on the market today. Even though they may have received FDA approval there is no way the truly long term side effects can be known. If you have taken any of these newer medications, which chances are you have, you are already a lab rat.
I wholeheartedly agree with you. There's just about nothing that the pharmacist can prescribe that doesn't have risks, and I'd much rather let my immune system do its job naturally.

Canada may change their rules quickly - they don't want cruise lines to get in the habit of bypassing Vancouver.
If the House also passes the Alaska Tourism Recovery Act, who cares what Canada does?

No Wrong --no test cruises as long as 98 % of all passengers are vaccinated & that 95% of all crew are vaccinated is the way it reads
The quote is actually 98% of crew and 95% of passengers.

Without tourists, Key West is just a sleepy little town that happens to have a naval air station. They need the tourist revenue. The economy of the keys from Key Largo to Key West is largely dependent upon tourism. The residents know that.
They sure do! And just try to find a hotel that's not already booked up, and for stupid money. They seem to have a sort of love/hate relationship with tourists. They want us to come dump off our money, but then they resent us being there? What do you expect from a place that secedes from the U. S. every year? 😉

They didn't ban ALL cruises, just those where the ship has >1,500 passengers.
Yeah, that would eliminate all HAL ships except Volendam & Zaandam.

Just a side question for those of you who feel so bad for the Key West locals : Do you plan to stay on the ship if your cruise stops at Key West, or maybe even cancel your cruise out of empathy for and solidarity with the Conchs ?

Personally, I suspect that a little push-back by Florida and Alaska may be inspiring the CDC to revisit the "science" of the prolonged cruise shutdown.

Yup, booked yesterday! I’m fully vaccinated and can’t wait to go! I’ll get a booster every 6 months if I have to. I wish everyone would do it, but I can’t help what everyone else will or won’t do. Although if they refuse to get vaccinated then get sick, they should be put off on the next port. Kinda like walk the plank! Stopping the cruise and returning, that’s just a big ol bummer.
So then, what about a vaccinated passenger getting sick; do they get put off at the next port?

I posted this yesterday on the CDC pushback thread.
Sorry, I must have missed that. Maybe the mods will remove this thread, but they probably won't, since there are already so many threads about this Covid mess.

Are they also suing Canada for not allowing stops in Canada that would fulfill ship's PVSA requirements?
No, they're trying to enact legislation to suspend the PVSA for one year, so as to bypass Canada completely, (although I'm pretty sure you asked that question with tongue in cheek).

We have two cruises booked with Holland America for 2022, and we've been hoping that HAL would not be requiring vaccines. This is wonderful news for us.

We had cabin #4119 on Zuiderdam last year. There's very, very little obstruction, and we loved the location.
It's OK to go without a mask indoors, or outdoors, if you have been vaccinated against Covid-19, the CDC says
