  1. Just got off. It was packed had to wade thru the sea of people to get to Vibe. Saw 2 year olds in the hot tube. This past week was the most crowded I have ever seen a pool deck on a cruise. If it wasn't for our spa balcony and daily spa visits along with a few hrs at vibe every day I'd have a very different opinion of this last cruise and the Escape. The service was top notch especially in Vibe and as long as you have a plan you can get some quiet space.

  2. Correct, cabanas are gone on the Escape. Make sure your at the check in around 9:00am. I would also try to ask someone who works for NCL where you purchase Vibe passes just in case they moved it again. Remember you board on deck 7, guest services and the comedy club are on deck 6

    Thanks so much!!

  3. I definitely need VIBE for this spring break week. Looks like no more cabanas. My last 3 cruises they definitely let Platinum pre board before group 1 didn't even give me a boarding group last trip. But I will get there early just in case. Looking at that deck have to have them. Thanks for the info.

  4. B terminal, we had 55-56. It seems that both C and B "gates" were opened up at the same time. The people who got vibe passes, wanted vibe passes. I think about 95% of the people on the ship didn't have a clue what the vibe club is. We had a few people in vibe who didn't know what the thermal spa pass was. Like I said we were outside of check in at 8:45AM and people were ahead of us, doors opened at 9AM.........line up to your left;)

Did they let Platinum and Gold get on prior to group 1?

  5. FYI - Just got the email that M$Q is no longer on the Escape starting 3/5/16. I went into my account and it was still there with no option to replace with Vocal Over Drive. So I called and they replaced for me. I asked why would they not just move my reservation to the new show and the response was that NCL wouldn't know if that is what you wanted. Ok, well I would hate to not have it booked and then not be able to get in. Luckily, it was available same time and date.

Thought others might want to know you need to call and rebook you won't be moved, just cancelled.

  6. Le Bistro is upscale, French, and food is very well prepared, romantic atmosphere, sophisticated. La Cucina - reminds me of family owned Italian Cafe, food is good but IMHO not any where as good as Le Bistro. I am eating there 2X - once with the specialty dining perk and then with my Platnium Dinner certificate.

  7. Not necessarily to me. I quess people adding their evaluation of the post or their own experience with a similar situation IMO is just participating in the topic. I don't believe anyone discredited the account. Your post seemed to me to be bashing anyone who had any input other than negative. To each there own don't want to take away from the OP.

  8. I'm on your sailing. Since you are unfamiliar with NCL mega ships what I would stress is book your restaurants and any shows you can on the website before you leave. I have the same 2 perks as you and I booked my 4 dining options I also booked 2 shows and 1 MDR for 2. What I love the most on these ships next to free drinks and casino is the spa. The thermal suites are wonderful not crowded and just so much fun to relax in. If interested you can now book in advance on website. Other pluses Iconceirge to find each other thru text and phone. This is my 14th NCL cruise in 5 years but first on Escape. Very excited too as it looks fabulous! Hope you enjoy your cruise!

  9. All the nonsense folks on here come up with to discredit any thing that sounds like a dig or accusation toward NCL. Usually it's a group of the same folks. All these theory's are hilarious. That's probably why folks do not show up at the meet and greets anymore they are too afraid they may run into someone they disrespected on line with there fake name.

Not sure who you are referring to, what I see is others sharing their experiences on NCL and other lines. Now for your quote above don't see what relevance it has to the topic at all other than being insulting.

  10. I thought I would share my experience for a different experience. My friend fell on the Dawn in the buffet slipped on water just dropped by the bus boy. Immediately Security was there telling her not to move. Security yelled out her name to find me and her sister as we were already sitting down. The doctor and nurse were called and came immediately. They were professional and concerned. We had heard horror stories on this very sailing of people being hurt and ending up with big bills for medical treatment. They took her to the medical center we both went along. She was in a wheel chair. They did numerous X-rays. Provided a brace for her ankle provided her with pain killers and directed her after giving her a shot of muscle relaxer to stay in the cabin and rest for 5 hrs. They called and checked on her. They sent the head of security to interview us took pictures of area of fall and reviewed security footage. She was not charged anything for all the services. Luckily she was just bruised and strained muscles. Was our last full day. They offered us special assistance to disembark of wheel chair assistance. They could not have done more and we were pleased and grateful. As I said we were told rumors ok people having to pay for wheel chairs and 3k for X-rays. I suspect those individuals were hurt off ship on excursions and not on the ship by dripping water. I had seen the water fall from the bus boys bucket minutes before my friend slipped and fell. I guess it all depends on the personnel and who is running things.

  11. Overall, the day at Tortola was good. It started out a little rough (waking up early, rushing, and seasickness) but we had an amazing experience at the Baths and Devil's Bay.

The rocks are massive and beautiful and the beaches are stunning. Amazing work of nature! I'm glad we were able to do it but probably won't do it again as a cruise ship excursion.

Here are more photos at Tortola.

Thanks for the full review and the review of the Baths. I am going in 6 weeks and plan on doing this excursion. I wonder if you get more time there booking outside of the cruise line.

Your pictures and videos are amazing and this is probably the best review I've read. I can't wait for Escape - I think this is #13 for me with NCL and so looking forward to this one. Will be in a Spa Balcony Cabin - can't wait and you just confirmed what a great ship this will be for us.

    Thank you soooo much!!!!

  12. I just called my CAS consultant and rebooked the Escape for 3/5 so I could get both the UBP and the UDP. It cost me a total of $51 extra from when I booked in July. Gratiuty on beverage went up slightly and then the $26 total on dining being added. Thought it was worthe $51 for the 4 nights dining. That will give use 6 nights total, as already get one night from CAS and one night from Platnium. It took her 20 minutes to figure it out but was worth it!! This was a comp offer, except tax and port fees.

  13. Ha ha. Where is the Jade before the 14th. Was reading disaster stories on first sale after repositioning! Hope that isn't the case! 10 days to go, how long does it take for the casino to open leaving from Houston? Can't wait - my favorite slot is Jackpot or Handpay!

  14. That is exactly the point. The downgrade takes us way down from what CAS has routinely offered us in the past. We know more or less exactly our value to CAS, based the points we earn on each cruise, and on what they have always done for us in the past.

And we just came off an Alaskan cruise where they comp'd us the class of cabin they originally offered on the Escape. It's also the same class that we have usually received in the past - and our Alaskan cruise casino play was no different than it's been in the past.

Yes, we understand that the Escape is a new ship, sailing a popular itinerary at a popular time of year. We understand that affects the comps that CAS will offer.

I am 7* with CET and Golden with CAS - did Alaska right before you in a CAS comped AFT mini-suite, got back and rebooked Escape for March - they would give me a mini-suite but not a spa mini-suite so went with a spa balcony instead. I'd be PO'd and I am wondering if you don't keep up your play and you book 3 or 4 cruises out can they take your cabin down a notch or take the offer back. Hope you get it worked out to your satisifaction. The CET offer is never as good as CAS and I have stopped even using my free cruise per year. Now I'm worried if I don't keep the level of play I might get bumbed down or out! I was going to book another cruise for next year before my Nov cruise to stay in the free zone.
