  1. Europe is very port intensive. Plan ahead, book shows and any specialty dining ahead online. I've been on Epic 5x and have Europe booked again on her for Oct. Research your excursions and have an itinerary. If it was the Caribbean I'd say relax but Europe is different lots to see and do. Enjoy!

  2. Wow….. I guess I never noticed how things worked here. I am surprised how critical people are. I am not a not sure if I will not be posting anymore.

Don't worry about the comment. The signature is no big deal and it isn't bragging just showing where you been and when may even list type of room. Most everyone who sails a lot has one. I appreciate the post. Waiting for suite pictures too. Dawn 10000 or 10500.

  3. The umbrellas were up every day but one on our 7-day from Miami.

There are also a handful of clamshell loungers by the tubs--reservable for an extra fee (I think it was $325/wk, don't quote the number...).

No private loungers on Escape. Gets shaded on double loungers in late day by misters. In March umbrellas were up about half the time. Wind was a problem. If you are not in the haven/suite or priority boarding or group 1 I highly doubt you will get in. I think they sell 80 wristbands.

  4. Hi, I'm looking to book the same cabin very soon for a 2017 sailing, was wondering if you had any additional insight. Probably moving from a B1 aft balcony (very large handicap room on level 9) to this room for the spa benefit, and slightly larger balcony for this B9 section. How did you like it? Any tips? I like its proximity to the elevators and pool deck also. Was the spa benefit worth it?

Thank you for any help or suggestions.

Sorry for delay. We loved the room and location. I always either get a spa room or buy the pass. Spa was great used it almost every day. Enjoy your trip.

  5. Wow! That's the exact same cabin I booked for me and my DW next year. Glad to hear it came with the lounger already! Hopefully that holds true. Sorry to track off topic, but did you take advantage of the thermal suites very often? Between the angled balcony and the thermal suites, I'm very pleased with my booking so far!

Sorry didn't see question until now. Yes used thermal suites almost every day. We also had Vibe passes so that is where we spent a lot of our time too.

  6. We will be in Deck 15 Spa Balcony (15140) will there be an overhang on top of us? Basing on the deck plans, we seem to be above staterooms. Anyone ever stayed in Spa balcony Port side?

We were in 15156 and there was noise early morning setting up deck chairs, was it enough to really both us - no. If you want complete quite this isn't it, if you can sleep through a little noise or are early risers like us 6 or 7 no biggy. Didn't hear any noise at night.

  7. The point is it happens what do you care. Just like you and everyone else I can make an observation and post it here. I didn't feel there was a need they do work hard and I'm not going to begrudge them extra monies or step into a confrontation with another passenger I'm on vacation.

  8. Actually. I know for a fact that there we people from the Haven every day that did not have passes. There were many people in there that did not pay and take offense all you want but they didn't magically get passes when they stumbled open the Vibe the first day and decided they wanted to come back daily. A BIG tip got them daily access with no pass

  9. Haven guests shouldn't double dip. Leave some loungers for us average joes who get up early to get the Vibe pass. Ok we have chair hogs what do you call a Haven guest that also has to have vibe pass. All jabbing aside week of the 5th I'd say 1/3 of those in the vibe were from the haven and guess what they didn't get passes they greased the palms of the bartenders. A Hundy will get 4 in from the Haven. I am not kidding and I didn't care as I always had a spot so it didn't impact me. Nice people chatted it up every day but they did not buy a pass.

  10. That was one of our main reasons for the Haven is the sun deck and availability of chairs. But, I do not like the fact that people who are not in the Haven can come into the Haven areas. I mean, we all paid some amount to be in there, why should they be allowed to be in there? I really hope this is more of a "spring breaker" college kids cruise, which means I doubt they will be in the Haven.

We're leaning towards getting passes to Vibe, and thinking of going all in and getting a cabana. We want to be able to enjoy ourselves and want to do everything possible to do so.

But I have to say, I'm extremely excited to be in a Haven suite. Which type of room did you end up with?

    There are no cabanas

  11. Yes and possibly number of people. As every where was very crowded - elevators, muster drill, getting off at 730 am, dinner one night in Le Bistro (adding table). 1st evening trying to visit a bar. Took 4 different stops to finally find 2 seats (Margaritaville outside).

I never went to pool deck to watch the pool contests as it was literally no where to sit or stand. I have been on all of NCL mega ships Epic 5 times. The design of Epic allows the outside food venue to flow to the pool bar and then the outdoor stage. This is the best design to host contests and bands. Last year at Spring Break we were up there every day to watch the contests and bands. So yes design for sure.
