  1. I am on the April 22 sailing out of JAX. Hopefully it makes it to HMC.

Were the 3 port cruises bookable after April 22 and Carnival is cancelling the 3rd port or they were not bookable? That will be a bummer if it was bookable and Carnival cancelled it. I would not be happy if they cut HMC.

Carnival is not offering 3 ports out of Jacksonville after the April 22 cruise. Hope this will mean lower fares for the 5 night cruises but I think not, I would rather pay a bit more for 3 ports but will not get that option. Wish I knew Carnivals reasoning...

  2. I hope St. John stays that way!!! Spent a week camping at Cinnamon Bay in VINP. One of my favorite vacations of all time. Let the thousands who descend on St. John for a few hours from a ship go to Trunk Bay and leave the rest for us ;)

No Trunk Bay for us, we always take the hike to Salomon beach, one of the nicest small beaches in the Caribbean. No crowds, no amenities, 30 to 40 minute rocky hike from Cruz Bay. Only get to stay there for 2 to 3 hours depending on how fast we can get there...

  3. No, not a spa pass. I think someone reported a $50.00 discount on a spa pass, though.

You get a few things like a yoga mat, special mineral water, an IPod docking station and a water feature.

Someone is sure to come along and explain this better than I can, so wait a while!

Recently off the Neiuw Amsterdam and had VQ spa room. No $50 discount for spa pass...

  4. Ships do not dock at St John. Generally they dock in St Thomas and you ferry over to St. John. (That is how we did it). It appears that the ship will anchor offshore and run tender boats into Cruz Bay. St. John is GORGEOUS.

The ferry to Cruz Bay is time consuming which I would hope that more cruise lines would dock at St Thomas for at least 9 hours if possible...

  5. Love the ship so far but this muster drill is crazy. Going on 25 minutes crammed outside on a deck with rows at least 5 people deep. We can put a man on the moon! How can this not be easier??

No better opportunity to spread germs, I think I caught a cold from a cougher near me on my last cruise muster, will be wearing a facemask on next muster. At least it wasn't Noro. I wonder how may ship sicknesses get their start at muster

  6. You make no sense with this example since in context to THIS conversation, nobody writes an entire review talking about they think they experienced what they experienced.

You do what you want, but I would never base the decision about where I spent MY money solely on the reviews of others.

By the way, both of your sentences are thoughts - one speculative, the other definitive. Anytime I "think" something, I thought it. Lol.

    Happy Saturday!

My decisions about the Sunshine are not based "solely on reviews" I also took into consideration the changes Carnival made to the ship which was stated on Carnivals web site.

I think, or I thought, you have think and thought usage problems..
