If your cabin has a fridge put the chocolate milk in it to warm...

I am on the April 22 sailing out of JAX. Hopefully it makes it to HMC.
Were the 3 port cruises bookable after April 22 and Carnival is cancelling the 3rd port or they were not bookable? That will be a bummer if it was bookable and Carnival cancelled it. I would not be happy if they cut HMC.
Carnival is not offering 3 ports out of Jacksonville after the April 22 cruise. Hope this will mean lower fares for the 5 night cruises but I think not, I would rather pay a bit more for 3 ports but will not get that option. Wish I knew Carnivals reasoning...

Looks like Carnival will end 3 port (Nassau, Freeport, HMC) cruises from Jacksonville. Last one will be April 22...

We always bring a corkscrew, for cabin wine and wine purchased and drank in ports...

Agreed, I'd rather recover on the ship then at home.
This is the main reason I don't like muster drills, being next to a person like you...

Grand Cayman...

I would choose the Magic because it has a large comedy club, full size theater and a real Cloud 9 Spa...

Once you cruise with a really good CD you'll recognize the difference they can make.
What qualities make for a really good CD? I have been on 25 cruises and can't recall any CD by name or being a really good CD. Maybe it is because that I really don't attend many activities hosted by a CD except for the intros to the shows...

I hope St. John stays that way!!! Spent a week camping at Cinnamon Bay in VINP. One of my favorite vacations of all time. Let the thousands who descend on St. John for a few hours from a ship go to Trunk Bay and leave the rest for us ;)
No Trunk Bay for us, we always take the hike to Salomon beach, one of the nicest small beaches in the Caribbean. No crowds, no amenities, 30 to 40 minute rocky hike from Cruz Bay. Only get to stay there for 2 to 3 hours depending on how fast we can get there...

No, not a spa pass. I think someone reported a $50.00 discount on a spa pass, though.
You get a few things like a yoga mat, special mineral water, an IPod docking station and a water feature.
Someone is sure to come along and explain this better than I can, so wait a while!
Recently off the Neiuw Amsterdam and had VQ spa room. No $50 discount for spa pass...

Ships do not dock at St John. Generally they dock in St Thomas and you ferry over to St. John. (That is how we did it). It appears that the ship will anchor offshore and run tender boats into Cruz Bay. St. John is GORGEOUS.

The ferry to Cruz Bay is time consuming which I would hope that more cruise lines would dock at St Thomas for at least 9 hours if possible...

This is not the only site for reviews. If I can gain information without wasting time and money I will. I think there is a difference between taking every word in a review as gospel and using critical thinking to judge the information and it's possible relevance to me.
Well stated.

Add a beach to Amber Cove if possible and if HMC is canceled go to Amber Cove if available. A nice beach at Amber Cove would be a big plus...

People who don't research purchases or read reviews drove a Yugo for 3 months. That is a fact, to quote Casey Stengal , "If you don't believe me you can look it up"

Love the ship so far but this muster drill is crazy. Going on 25 minutes crammed outside on a deck with rows at least 5 people deep. We can put a man on the moon! How can this not be easier??

No better opportunity to spread germs, I think I caught a cold from a cougher near me on my last cruise muster, will be wearing a facemask on next muster. At least it wasn't Noro. I wonder how may ship sicknesses get their start at muster

I "think" you have to many think and thoughts in one post, at least I think I thought that....

Geez now I am confused
what comes first...The think then the thought or the thought then the think

You make no sense with this example since in context to THIS conversation, nobody writes an entire review talking about they think they experienced what they experienced.
You do what you want, but I would never base the decision about where I spent MY money solely on the reviews of others.
By the way, both of your sentences are thoughts - one speculative, the other definitive. Anytime I "think" something, I thought it. Lol.
Happy Saturday!

My decisions about the Sunshine are not based "solely on reviews" I also took into consideration the changes Carnival made to the ship which was stated on Carnivals web site.
I think, or I thought, you have think and thought usage problems..

What do you think a review is? "Thoughts" put in written form.

example of the word thought
" I thought the toilet in my cabin would not flush"
Or
"The toilet in my cabin would not flush"
Which is more descriptive of an actual experience?

If carnival could develop an island/port that is just as good or better than HMC I'd say go for it Carnival. I am a beach person and HMC has one of the nicest and largest beaches in the Caribbean that you don't have to pay taxi fare to get to. Just booked a b2b on the Elation mainly due to HMC...

Because you have based your decision on an opinion(s) that may not be seen the same way as you do. You miss a lot in life if you make your decisions based on other people's thoughts.
I make some decisions on reviews on other people's experiences not thoughts...

The Splendor is on my Carnival ship bucket list, have to sail on her before she leaves. Main reason is she has the original Cloud 9 Spa with a Thalasso pool. The Magic is also on the list...

Hi,
Was it mounted on the wall or still a pedestal model on the "desk"? Thanks.
wall mounted, not centered to bed, no biggie...

Sailed on the NA 11/27/2016. The TV was a wide screen LCD with no DVD nor HDMI ports, nice picture, I do not think it will be replaced during dry dock. Room was a VQ. Very nice ship...
Nice beach
