I have never known the MDRs to serve a "better meal" on formal nights... Maybe I've just missed it.
Usually, the next to last night is lobster night.

Does anyone know if Princess does anything special if you celebrate a birthday while on a cruise (e.g. complimentary specialty restaurant meal)?

Hi Everybody,
We are returning from a Princess cruise in November using terminal 2.
Beside Avis and Budger who else uses this terminal?Of those which one has the best SunPass rate?
This will be a one-way trip to MCO.

Why not just rent a car one way?

You can tell ToH that I like his shirt - especially as it appears to have a pocket for my stupid glasses. (Sometimes I think it might be easier if I had to wear the glasses all the time.) I know that a lot of folks don't care for the Aloha shirts but I wore them to work every day the last 4 or 5 years I worked. Of course I also wore Birkenstock sandals as well. Working in IT has it's perks.😎 Give him a big High Five for the shirt. 😁
If your cruise stops in Honolulu, the Macys store in the Ala Moana shopping center has a fabulous selection of men’s shirts with many aloha shirts available. This store has shirts tha none of the other Macys carry. Every time we visit Honolulu we visit the Macys store and buy 2-3 more shirts.

We like to stay in an area loosely defined by The Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Two hotels meeting your requirements during your stay are Hotel Smeraldo and Hotel Ponte Sisto. Although both are listed on various hotel booking sites, I suggest you check their own websites for best pricing.
Rather than leave transfers up to your hotel, I suggest you book them yourself. There are other good ones, but we always use RomeCabs. Their pricing is usually better than what your hotel will offer and having direct contact with your provider in the event of a flight delay is a plus.
This past September our flight from EWR to FCO was delayed by three hours. I notified RomeCabs and they adjusted their schedule to accommodate our late arrival. I don't know how it would have worked out if I were working through a middleman, the hotel, for our airport transfer.
Great advice, Lew! Thank you for telling me about Hotel Smeraldo. That place looks very promising.

I’m looking for a hotel in a central location with an on-site restaurant and a concierge who can book tours and airport & cruise port transfers. A buffet breakfast would be a plus. Am hoping to find something for $200/night based on a 4-night stay. All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have a Hoyer lift that I got from the VA. It is quite large and would not travel well.

Are boarding passes still used or have they been replaced by medallions?
If they are still in use, where do I find mine to print out?
Thanks in advance.

The bottom line is that you are betting the entire cost of your cruise against saving a night in a hotel. That is not a good bet in my opinion.

Absolutely not! A little bad weather or mechanical issues and your flight could get delayed for hours.

Our one and only Celebrity cruise from Yokohama to Vancouver was a disappointment. There were no self-serve laundry machines and dryers. Midway through the cruise, they ran out of shrimp, hot dogs & iced tea. The pizza was rewarmed frozen pizza. 😩

Just book those dinners with your credit card and have the charges reversed to OBC when you board and get to passenger services. That’s what others on another thread have told me.

Just go the restaurant on embarkation - there will be someone there - and book your reservation.
The problem with that is that my cruise (to Sydney) begins in Vancouver but I don’t embark until 4 days later in L.A. (San Pedro), I am concerned that some of the choice days (e.g. formal nights) will be 100% booked. -
Excellent!
Thanks very much.

I understand that if I make a reservation before embarkation in a specialty restaurant, my credit card is charged.
If I do this, once onboard, can the charge be refunded and my onboard credit be charged instead?

At brunch, the James Beard French toast. Best I’ve ever had.

Sorry if this sounds clueless, but I haven’t been able to find elsewhere.
What kind of Covid test does Princess require for their cruises? PCR or ?
How many days before departure?
Thanks in advance.

We plan to take a cab from our Rome hotel to the cruise port on Thursday but I'll need a wheelchair once I leave the cab. Do you possibly know if Princess has wheelchairs and people to push them standing by where the taxis drop people off? I'm trying to minimize walking. (I will not be able
