Apparently the Millennium is going into dry dock later this year.
Any idea what renovations are planned?

I was planning to book a cruise for next year but now I am really hesitating after reading these recent comments. I wanted to reserve a cabin on deck 11 (Aqua Class).

I am always trying to sail on new cruise ships such as the Beyond, Ascent, Silver Ray, .... Now I have seen a nice itinerary with the Celebrity Millennium. The question; is this ship still for me?
I know this is a question which I can only answer myself but what is the condition of the ship? Latest refurbishments?
Will stay in Aqua Class.
Does this ship show signs of its age, it's all a bit more old-fashioned like the atrium, theatre, ...

Is it allowed to use a full face snorkel mask on a Galapagos cruise, Silver Origin?
I'm reading this is prohibited.
My wife only snorkel with this kind of mask.
The problem apparently is CO2 built-up, but this is mainly the case with some older and cheaper models.
The newer models have a design which keeps CO2 levels safe.

Several times already sailed with Seabourn, as well as Crystal, Ponant and Oceania. Most of our cruises have been with Celebrity Cruises.
Now thinking of joining the new ship (Silver Ray) in July 2024, but still in doubt.
How is it different from Seabourn?
Service (staff), food, fellow passengers, entertainment (shows, dance party), ... ? -

Just received a phone call from the Doctor at 0900 testing being at 0700.
We will be retested but is of no consequence. Even if it is False Positive we will not be permitted to continue onto the Norwegian Fjords Cruise.
She asked the following -
Vaccination Dates and type of vaccine
Names of party we are traveling with
Do you have any sympthoms
Do you have any medical conditions like heart or breathing difficulties
Are you allergic to anything.
She then said - Unfortunately we are out of isolation rooms in the RED ZONE so you will have to remain in your cabin. That's the only ray of sunshine. At least it will be just one day but will be interesting to see what happens next.
Maybe I missed it, but in case of False Positive why are you not permitted to continue onto your next cruise?

Me and my wife are arriving 2 days before cruise departure.
A question about the Greek PLF form, section "Temporary Address"
Please list all the places you will be staying at during the 14 days following your arrival/departure
I have entered the address of the hotel we are staying pre-cruise.
You have the option to check a box and fill in a second address
Is this something you need to fill in? You can enter your cruise ship name, but what about city and postal code?
and what about all other destinations?

Which company did you use for your pre-arranged transport from hotel to port?

Sailing on Apex next month.
Do we need to make reservations already at one of the 4 main dining restaurants? (Select Dining Anytime)
Or can this easily be done onboard?
Or can you just go anytime you want to the restaurant (without reservations)?
Seems it's not possible to make reservations at Cyprus restaurant 😕

Have a cruise booked for next November.
Maybe it's a good time to try Celebrity Air for the first time.
A few questions:
# What's the difference between Choice Air website and Flights by Celebrity on Celebrity Cruises website.
These are two different websites for booking Celebrity flights.
Found 2 difference prices for the same flight ??
#If Celebrity cancels our cruise in November after final payment. Do we get full refund for flights ?
or do you have to pay $200 air penalty and processing fee (guess this is only when you cancel by yourself)
#Has someone used Best Prices Guaranteed when you find a lower fare on another website ?

What additional expenses did you incur?
In March our Australia/New Zealand cruise was cut short due to the virus situation. Viking generously offered to make (economy) airline reservations for all passengers, regardless of whether or not they purchased through them. We hadn’t purchased from Viking and decided to try to make our own reservations. We incurred a $98 per person fee to fly out of a different airport and to keep Comfort+. We cancelled all the post cruise reservations we had for hotels and excursions without any problem. The deposits we paid were all promptly refunded to my credit card.
About 2 weeks later we received an email from Viking and they compensated us for the missed portion of the cruise. I didn’t expect them to pay the $98 we incurred for the flights. We had trip insurance but I really didn’t think to try to claim it. Under the circumstances, we were glad to be back home.
I think you got the “right” answer from Viking.
We had to make a new reservation for a Eurostar train back home, cost of 448 euro. Price is very high because this reservation was made 2 days before travel.

Viking's response is the same response you would receive from any cruise line to any passenger who makes their own pre or post cruise arrangements.
Viking clearly outlines this in their Terms and Conditions" that is easily found on their website.
There are travel insurance policies that do include trip interruption coverage. As in any policy, coverage will depend on the price paid for the policy (more coverage, more money).
I understand their Terms and Conditions.
The thing is, guest relations onboard ensured us (3 times, also guest relations manager) that every expense made to get back home would be refunded.
Millennium Dry Dock?
in Celebrity Cruises

I was just wondering what would be renewed. Several reviews that I've read lately say day the ship definitely needs cosmetic improvements (esp. cabins).
