Happiest when cruising

I fully understand. I am just going by what I have read happened in the past, to other passengers.

Thanks so much. We’ve done the inside sideways cabins and like those, too. We’ll be just fine and I do like the dark rooms. We have stayed in all sorts of cabins, and liked them all. I was just surprised to hear a balcony was not offered to you with Covid, since it’s still on their site. If we are unlucky enough, you can bet I’ll be asking for a balcony, though.

I understand why people feel guilt, but you did the right thing. When you know better, you do better. Thanks for the response. Silly us, we assumed they would still move people. We booked an inside, since that’s all there was left that we could afford. Fingers crossed….

Thanks for that information. I’ve heard many stories about what used to happen, but I’ll wait to hear back from the OP on what is currently happening on her ship.

Here’s the section from the Princess website. I do see the words “most likely”, which is why I was asking the OP the question. I’m ok with people being quarantined and I’m surprised to hear other lines are not doing the same as Princess. Positive cases that do not require admission to the ship’s medical center, or medical disembarkation, will most likely be moved to a different stateroom for the duration of isolation

I read the whole thing…and just went back to the part on March 10, where you said you I didn’t have a window. Aren’t they moving passengers to balconies anymore? Or…did you request to just stay in your inside cabin?

As soon as you talked about the migraines, I just knew what was coming. I’m glad you are able to carry on with your cruise and you feel ok.

Right, the bags are gone…but I was still hoping to receive what was in them. It won’t ruin my cruise without the extras, though. I just feel like..I am finally making it to getting the highest level for loyalty and many of the perks seem to have disappeared recently. I am happy to be cruising and I’m just going to enjoy whatever benefits I do get in April.

They are not listed on the Princess website, either. I’m kinda sad.. it was finally going to be my turn to see what was in those little gold bags.

We are doing the April 14 to Hawaii and then staying on, to go home to Vancouver. We are disembarking before the Crown does her first cruise to Alaska on May 5.

I think someone was just hoping to get a buyer. I don’t have any, as I turned them down every time they were offered.

The Effy store staff would stand outside the theatre and hand out small charms, and necklaces. People collected them and there were a lot of them. You could cram into their store and listen to their sales speech and collect them there, too. I think it also formed part of the scavenger hunt, on embarkation day. If you are able to buy it for one day, I believe the cost is 20.00. Some people have reported they have done it, just to be able to check into flights on disembarkation.

So you missed two out of the four Hawaii ports. I am hoping for better next month, but safety first, of course. Do you have an idea of how many first time Hawaii cruisers are onboard? it. Ours will be our first, and probably last cruise there, as we just wanted to try it out to see how we like that many sea days in a row.

I see, I guess I’m about to get free laundry soap and tokens! Yippee.I don’t remember seeing that listed, but I also wasn’t looking too closely at it. I was looking forward to sending laundry out, as we finally reach the level on our next back to back. I am bit disappointed in reading about the mini bar, since we generally don’t drink alcohol, and would have done some kind of mix and match of pop and water, or the now discontinued coffee card, but I’m still happy to be cruising.

Thanks for listing those differences. We did a Celebrity cruise a few years ago and I couldn’t remember why we didn’t go back., but your list had me saying… oh yeah- several times. We aren’t foodies and I remember we didn’t love it, but food isn’t everything.

If they are free, why do you have to have the Elite loyalty level to get them?

Thanks so much, I’ve been on quite a few Princess ships, but not this one, if my memory is any good. 😉 Of course, I can ask as we walk onto the ship. I’m usually just so thankful to have made it on the ship, that I might forget.

In your wanderings, if you happen to come across where muster station A is, will you please let me know? It does seem easier to go there before we get into the cabin and see the back of the cabin door and then need to go find it. We usually watch the video first, then go, but if I can tap and go while we wait for the cabin to be ready, I’m even happier. I can not find it marked on any deck plan that I looked at.
