I have looked at all the Deck Plans for Anthem and cannot find 150 Central Park. For those who have been on Anthem, where is it?

I don't know how/why we go to do it, but I did go to the engine room on a behind the scenes tour on Voyager in 2012. After visiting it, I can see the liability to RCCL of letting passengers in that area. I have been on a couple of other behind the scenes tours (Allure and Freedom) and never went in again. You can see other pictures of a behind the scenes tour by navigating the album this picture is in.

Thanks for all the insight! Sounds overall like a great ship and great itinerary ! What are some top things people like to do at these ports ?
We have been on a New England/Canada cruise twice. We really enjoyed Peggy's Cove in Halifax, but also visited the Maritime Museum. We've done the Lighthouses of Maine on one cruise in Portland and the trip to Kennebunkport on another. We like this destination so much we are going again in a few weeks and have one booked for 2017 on Vision.

54 days until 1st time on Anthem for New England/Canada cruise - can't wait!

We have done Allure, Freedom and Independence From FL and Mariner, Voyager and Liberty from TX. Probably prefer the Voyager and Freedom class, but did enjoy Allure, too. We are going on Serenade next April. We've done the Radiance class to New England but this will be the first time in the Caribbean.

We did Bernard's tour a couple of years ago - like everyone else, highly recommend. Got to see both sides of the island, tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the island. Well worth the money!

We had no lobster night on our 11 night Brilliance of the Seas Canada New England cruise in September 2015.

I work for an energy company and we've moved away from dockers and dress pants to indigo jeans every day. It's what is needed to attract the millennials (which I am not). The cruise lines need to change with the times for non-formal nights IMO.

It was time well spent. Learned a lot of interesting tidbits about how the design morphed as they learned things. Like that big deflector at the top to keep the wind in the park to a minimum.

We were on the May 22nd sailing and didn't see any freestyle machines.

Balcony for sure. Never stayed in an interior stateroom, but I am sure we wouldn't like it. Balcony is too enjoyable for reading, watching sunrise or sunset, watching approaching a port and docking or just listening to the waves.

That's not something I want to hear.

I love the Connoisseur Club on Voyager and Freedom classes of ships. I wished they all had one. Outdoor cigar smoking with the wind is not my idea of a relaxing time.

I was on Liberty a couple of weeks ago and didn't see any.

We were on this cruise also. Wished our embarkation experience was as good as TexasAnn described, but ours was similar to kruzerci. It took forever to get through the line to check in and we were in the Diamond line. A couple behind us got in the gold line and checked in before us. It was very slow. But that did mean our room was ready when we got on and could drop off our carry-on. Agree that the MDR menu is really blah and needs a refresh. We ate in Sabor only once (last night) and wished we would have discovered it earlier. The table side guacamole was fantastic. Didn't like Chops either as much as Giovanni's and did go there twice. We didn't get to do Johnny Rockets this time. But it was the smoothest seas I have seen in a long time. We haven't cruised out of Galveston in a few years, so it is real convenient to drive instead of fly. We booked Liberty again in April 2018.

It works great for us and takes no room in the luggage since it folds flat. Keeps everything organized.

The way they handle those gift certificates are a pain. They never arrive within the 48 hours and it usually takes a few phone calls to get it straightened out. We used to give them as gifts and then use for OBC, but we quit because they are so hard to use.

We have done this cruise twice and have it booked again in Oct 2017 on Anthem. We love this itinerary. First time we were wearing shorts because it was still warm. It's beautiful scenery when the leaves are turning. The Caribbean just seems the same from port to port - same people pushing you to buy their stuff, even the same stuff in each port. These ports seem to have more locally made souvenirs and crafts and the people want to engage in conversation with you. After a summer in Houston, we love to go to the cooler weather for a change. It is typically older people and usually only babies or toddlers - which we appreciate. You also tend to have more time in the ports because they are closer together.

We were just on Liberty and they said it was the first ship to get the new scrubbers during its Feb dry dock.
-
Wow. I have always taken the docking procedure for granted. Not so in this case.

I was on the 5/22 sailing in Group 6. We got off a little later than the estimated time of 9 am (they had an alpha alpha alpha call during those that got off with no assistance that may have delayed us slightly). But despite that, once we were called until we got to our car at Lighthouse Parking was right about an hour 15 minutes - and that included a 20 minute wait for the bus to fill enough to depart. Crowded, but the lines moved pretty well. We live about 1 hour and 45 minutes from Galveston and were home by 11:45am.

We put ours on the outside of the bathroom door. Shoes and some toiletry items is what we use it for. The hooks that came with ours (from Wal-Mart) are just the right side for the bathroom door....they would work over the closer door, too, but it's not as thick as the bathroom door.

OK, Thanks. But the website is misleading then as when you look at specialty restaurants with Anthem it is listed there.
