Tender to Airlie Beach today. They used a ship tender and a local large cat ferry. All the local volunteers were very friendly and helpful. They put on $5 shuttle bus that drops you at a beach, the markets and the main street shopping. It's walking distance really. But mum wanted the ride. What a lovely town. Very busy at the moment with a sailing race on for a week. 180 yachts competing. We managed to buy a few things from a market stall and a shop. Nice walk along the beach path. Back on board now. Had lunch from the grill above the pool. Think we ordered the wrong thing. Tacos were poor and mum had a hotdog which looked awful. The cheesy bacon chips are definitely a miss. Very gritty cheese sauce. Great way to not overeat on board. Everyone around us ordered the classic burger which looked lovely.

My observations on formal night. I love to dress up for formal night and love to see men in suits. I think the crowd in the elite lounge had all made an effort to dress up. Not alot of dinner suits but mostly well dressed people. The dining room was probably 90 percent well dressed. The theatre, went to see encore, a few more casuals.

I think they do about 8 cocktails slightly discounted otherwise just the normal drinks menu. No free drinks like royal.

First time in elite lounge. Underwhelmed. No one speaks to each other. Pianist playing for a while. Nibbles are nice, scallops wrapped in bacon, smoked salmon, cheese etc. Cherry pie. Great service but no atmosphere.

There's a medical emergency and the helicopter will be here in 30 minutes to evacuate. No one on their balcony on Port side. Heading towards Rockhampton to meet the helicopter

Most travelled guest luncheon is on Wednesday and the captains circle party that evening. Will go check out the elite lounge nibbles tonight. Didn't make it there last night.

Just played trivia and did badly. 5 out of 20. A lot of people at trivia. At the end they announced the venue is a sip and cover location and would everyone put their masks on. For anyone interested the public toilets are spotless and very large cubicles. They have one Australian powerpoint in your cabin with 2 usb plugs next to the hair-dryer. Two American power points below them.

The Princess logo shop had a fair bit of clothing marked down quite considerably. I got a couple of bargains. The perfume shop is really low on stock and the sales assistant said they will get a major restock before the next cruise
