It says the BBQ place is only open on sea days. Does embarkation day count as a sea day? Any one know if it is open for lunch on embarkation day?
Thanks

Any opinions on Matt Seguin?? We've got him on the Dream next month.
We LOVED Mat Seguin. He was one of our favorites by far. But I am also in the minority in that I was not a fan of Dr. E. Mat was very friendly. He was family friendly for the kids but great for adult humor in the evening.
Have a great time

We always fly in the day before. Coming from a cold weather/snowy state and usually cruising in January. I would be a nervous wreck for the months before our trip. lol Good Luck and try not to worry too much. Have a great trip.

On non-formal nights jeans, capris, t-shirts are fine. Sandals are fine but flip flops may not fly depending on staff at the time. Buffet is open every night not just formal nights. Only dress code for buffet is bathing suit cover up and shoes.
Have a great trip.

On embarkation day, has anyone ever checked their luggage at the cruise terminal and not boarded the ship immediately?
We will be in NOLA for one day prior to our cruise, but New Orleans seems like a place I may want to see more of before boarding the fun ship. After checking-out of the hotel, I don't want to drag all the luggage around town. The port is close enough to go to, drop and check luggage and then go back into town and get on the boat a little later. Wondering if this is possible??
Thanks

Every time we book a cruise I've gone to
cruise tt to see how many boats will be in each port. But it's not updated past this month? I normally can see months in advance. Anyone else use this. Is this the new norm for that site?

Single digits till the Eastern Caribbean but after looking at the extended forecast, was not happy with the rainy forecast for most ports and I expect sea days. Now don't get me wrong, a rainy day onboard is better than a sunny day at work. I will still have fun no matter what. Maybe more maps? Just wondering what everyone does on the less than stellar days? Thanks.

Restorative Basil Drop. Loved it and feeling traumatized that Alchemy is not on our up coming cruise. Have one for me please.

We booked on the Liberty, for out turkey day cruise. Liberty has 2.0 and so the Alchemy Bar. But Carnival decided to switch us to the Valor. No 2.0, no Alchemy [emoji20]. Now I don't drink often and don't like rum or wine. Looking for a new favorite go to drink. What is your favorite, What should I try? Thanks.

We just upgraded from a regular balcony room to an aft balcony room for our upcoming cruise. We seen 2 different pics, one with a couch and one without. We have room 7448. Anyone have this room or any of the adjacent rooms?
thank you

Just looked up our cruise director for our Thanksgiving cruise. (19 days:D) Never seen his name (Mat Seguin) mentioned so I thought I'd ask. Directors never really make or break our cruises but just wondering if anyone has any comments on him.
Thanks in advance.

26 days, Valor for Thanksgiving :)

I will second the fact about propping your balcony and opening your room door. Crazy windy and can be dangerous. I do however prop my balcony door every cruise. Just a little to hear the water at night. I just use a flip flop wedged in the door jam. Keeps it open about 2".

Also want to add we love being right up by the (not so secret) door to watch the boat pull in and out of each port. And for some nice sunsets.

We had 8202, which is the balcony next to the part of the bridge that sticks out. We didn't hear any noise from that side. Was fun to sit out on the balcony in the morning with our coffee and have the captain come over to the window and wave good morning every day. We love being up front. Plus it's more exercise having to walk to and from that front end.

I think the others are Nataliya and Oleksandr?

We fly out in the morning for the Glory out of Miami on the 23rd 😃. Can we exchange larger bills for tips at either the casino or service desk once on board? I say yes, my husband says no. I don't want to travel with 200 ones if I don't have to lol, they take up too much room. Thanks in advance.

While I am sorry your did not enjoy your trip, it seems to me you complain a lot? Every vacation, be it cruise or land there will be something's that are less than your expectations. However, and this may not be the case, from this post, I feel like you let one little thing effect all the rest of the little things that came your way? complaining of the lag on the over head lights? Really? I do hope that you enjoy all your future cruises on another line. I like to enjoy my cruises and I hope to not have to run into unhappy people.

We will be in HMC with Carnival Glory and have a cabana rented in 11 days (: What kind of pop can you get? Do they also have water? One last thing. Can we take our left over stuff back to the boat?
Thanks in advance.

I know you can bring on 12 pops or waters per person. If I bring all pop or water can you order pop or water through room service or do they have it through Bon Voyage? We always get bottomless bubbles but would be will to pay for some to keep i the room. I know people say you can drink water out of the tap, but that's not gonna happen. Lol. Don't even drink out of the tap at home.

I'd take the balcony. BUT once you have a balcony, you may always want a balcony: eek: (My first cruise and balcony, ruined me for all future cruises) Split the difference and go OV.
Valor - 1st cruise May 25th!

The Valor is my favorite ship, maybe because it was our first cruise/?? But I love her. Next cruise we will be trying out a different class, so my opinion may change, but the Valor will always have a place in my heart. Have a great time and don't sweat the small stuff, because any day at sea is better than a day at work, IMO. Go to the very front of the ship and go out on the not so "secret" deck. Especially when pulling into a port.
