Ah but I found public toilets- signposted on the route from St Marks Square to Rialto Bridge- follow the signs on the wall, but get 1euro ready to pay to get in! Calling in a bar or cafe would make more sense lol.

ok celebration is that for 2015 or is celebration replacing majesty for adriatic

2014 because we are due to majesty on first week may and just upgraded to outside plus cabin . Celebration is smaller than majesty how would they work this out we booked very early because we got free drink package how would cabin allocation work i wonder:cool:

Just received my e-ticket through the post will a note on the front stating 'we could not contact you at your e-mail address' .......

 

Funny they managed to send the booking confirmation to it and also the booking amendment as well nothing has changed.

 

Also quoted in the small print in say only 5 kg of hand luggage on the tickets, they are still having problems with that as quoted in the latest brochure 7 kg. I will have to take a photo copy with me in case I get a jobs worth. We had one last year in July at Manchester airport over my handbag.

 

Glad that the board is back up again, not been able to get on it for a couple of days.

agree on the engines joe...yes newer so probably more efficient...after all the destiny ran on hamsters didnt it:)

 

Imo..if they are covering the san marco and creating more sunbed space above? then they will be solving one problem (lack of buffet table space) and creating another (destiny style al fresco/wind tunnel buffet tables) comes into its own when the weather is good but I dont think it will cut it in the atlantic (canaries)

 

I'm hoping it will be the lido buffet that is being extended?....but they cant cover over half the lido/pool with a sundeck...can they?

Keith ,probably what wasn't,t in your favour was you were looking to change nearer your cruise where we changed not long after we booked.At least you got it a wee bit cheaper.

Hi Jim. I tried what you said and been in contact. With Thomson but had to pay £40 but got what I wanted cheaper than I thought I would be and got cabin 730 plus cabin it said restricted veiw but still see mostly everything but if you are in the bar won't make a lot of difference anyway thanks I didn't get it free but can't complain bigger cabin .keith &catherine

Thank you both, lovely pics joe :), we was goin to take a taxi from port to where cable car is(12 euro,s). Then pay for return cable car ride(9 euros), as thompson trip 32 pounds each, so cheaper to do DIY here. However port day is a Monday , so will have to check if cables running. As for sorrento, there is four of us, two plan on visiting pompelli(40 pounds with thompson), other two either just wander around sorrento or take a trip to amalfi coast . Will splash out on trip to rome, as there is so much to see.

We did sorrento in the morning &pompeii in the afternoon but next we come we wil just spend the whole in sorrento :cool::eek:

We are going on adriatic explorer on 2nd may . We are on deck 6 standard outside double how much do you think it would be to upgrade to a outside plus cabin . I know it might be a bit late now since the cruise is getting closer but I'm just having second thoughts by what I'm reading about the space in a standard cabin. :cool:

Trying to remember the cabins were between light&dark I think I was looking at my camcorder but didn't seem to have taken anything in the cabin you will like it .keith

Knowing Thomson you might have but it's worth a try good luck on that.:cool::cool:

Thought I'd do another poll. A thing that crops up a lot is the added extras that Thomson charge that others don't, but out of them, which annoys you the most and would rather see included? I know that if it was included, it would probably just be added onto the price already, but anyway. :D

 

I've added the ones I can think of, but if anyone else has any ideas, I've put an 'other' on the poll, so click that one and mention below which one.

Totally agree with pre-booking cabin then when you get on board they gave me a different cabin .Also paying for water I think that's bad that should be free sure there is plenty more. :cool:

Had a look on plan for cabin 6172 and it's towards rear of the dream same side

As 6048 but it would be better taking 6048 hardly any vibration away from engines all together if that any help .

I can tell you we had 6048 and it was fine we had this cabin last May . you are not far from the lift and then 2floors down and you are right beside main dining room ,then 2 up and you are where all the shops &bars etc would recommend this cabin . Keith:cool:

We have booked onto the Majesty and have booked all inclusive. However we enjoy a nice steak and lovely food and think we will probably have to pay for a couple of meals at the Bistro.

 

Has anyone eaten and the paid restaurants and if so what was it like and are the prices reasonable

 

Or is it better to eat in the Four Season with waiter service?.

It's up to yourselves but we did on the dream 2 years ago and we thought the meals in the Orion was just as good ,we are going on majesty in May this year so depending on dates booked might see you we will be there on 2nd may

Thank you everyone - we want to do a med cruise from Palma followed by a stay in hotel in Majorca.

We did stay&cruise from Majorca prefer it this round & stayed in the Santa Lucia in Palma nova had a great time then picked up at hotel for transfer in cruise terminal for the dream to do med medley really enjoyed it . This hotel would strongly recommend or the son Matius very close by best 2hotels in palma nova I've been to Keith

I was thinking of booking the Venice on your own day tour when we went, I figured it would give me the most time in Venice, but am happy to be corrected. We will be there late July/ early August and I had concerns of walking all the way in in the heat. There will be 5 of us (2 adults and 3 children 17, 15 & 15). Does anyone know if this tour will just literally drop us into the centre of will we have to endure a part tour and commentary at the beginning as you seem to with P&O 'on your own' tours?

As far as I know you get the shuttle from the ship then you are on your own if anyone knows different let us know if not I will do a reveiw when icome home on 9th may approximately . Keith
