Three days in a row ... since I have been checking ... with shrimp on both MDR and Lido dinner menus on Koningsdam.
I know you didn't like something but there is no reason to post the same lies over and over again. Such a strange lie also, focused on one specific protein. What is your agenda?
I just spent 9 days on this ship. I had seafood salad every day for lunch.

More information please on the 28 day Alaska cruise. I’m not seeing it on HAL website

I am interested in a future cruise and will be on a ship later in December. Should I wait till then to book the future cruise till onboard? Any additional perks offered?

I like the volendam and zandam type ships now on the west coast itineraries. I have many times booked the corner aft rooms on other ships of this size but noticed these two are both using those as handicapped cabins. Can I wait list them as a non handicapped user in case they are not sold before sailing? Anyone know how this would work?

Amazon Explorer is on for this November, but not in fall/winter 2023/24. It is always from Ft Lauderdale. May make a reappearance in fall/Winter 24/25, which is probably 8-10 months away from being announced. It's usually released as part of the other South America/Antarctica deployment announcements
I would love to see a South American cruise not involving Florida. A west coast round trip would be great or disembark Galveston

People can’t pack decent clothes but they can pack pool floats?
Not understanding your comment

Let me preface the question with a few things: 1) I am a larger sized person; 2) The sun and I do not get along, so I would use this in evening; and, 3) I've already searched on the HAL FAQs and couldn't find anything in regard to something like this.
A picture is below. According to Amazon, the measurements are 52x55, but I'm sure that is when it is flat on the ground and not when someone's rear-end is weighing it down in the water. I haven't bought it yet, since I'm not sure if it is ok for cruise ship pools.
I have had one similar to this for many many years and it folds up small enough to pack in our suitcase to land vacations. We always get favorable comments on how great it seems and yes it is. I doubt you can use it on the ships but I would be interested in your reply from HAL.

I enjoyed the South American cruises from the west coast, now they begin or end in Florida. I would like to see a Panama Canal cruise with embark or disembark in Boston or NYC

Just saw a news report that a major storm is heading to the coast of Alaska today through tomorrow. Stock up on sea sick medication

Thanks for your replies, I appreciate your response.

We are traveling in mid October on Havila Capella. We arrive in port at 2:30pm. Is it possible to make a 5:30 flight from Bergen Airport? We can fly in the AM next day leaving at 6:05am. Anyone who has recently flown from Bergen know if two hours if plenty of time at arrive prior to flight?

Anyone recently returned from a voyage on this cruise company?

This is great news, thanks for posting

I saw a post on Facebook today that they have been granted ability to sail, just getting insurance in order now. I would think maybe the July sailings may begin.

Thanks so much for the information, I’ll send it to my travel agent and see if we should rebook.

Any news on when the ship might get insurance to sail?

I wish I had seen the graphics shown above before my last cruise on this ship. I choose an aft balcony on deck 4 only to find a tiny deck, not at all like those on other ships or apparently on deck 7-8 on this ship. We are booking another Mexico cruise for December and this time I’m going with deck 4 4160 showing a larger deck.

So did it appear the balconies were larger than yours in the same category?

We were in 4043, which is literally around the corner from the Forward elevators/stairs. Wasn't noisy. Deck 4 Aft rooms were blocked off in both hallways as quarantine cabins, so I don't think aft balconies would be an option on deck 4, but of course there are other decks. Our room is the last one in the indented section of the ship and the next cabin forward from us was on the jutted out part. So our balcony was sort of triangular between the 2 beside us.

We were on this ship in Mexico last October in an aft balcony cabin. We prefer these as the Lani is usually larger. Not so on this ship but we found out from another passenger they had a huge deck on the 4th deck down from us. Go figure , if your balcony was larger could you tell me room number area or category you booked?

I am especially sorry for that. I will try to complete it shortly. To anyone that I left "hanging", err... my fault.

Thanks for your reply, I was wondering if you could comment on how you were able to enter Mexico without a Passport?
Discovery mini suite or aft balcony
in Princess Cruises
Posted · Edited by gwenmarie
Just booked an Alaska cruise late September Seattle to Vancouver BC. I have the aft balcony booked for the large balcony but wondering how small the shower is compared to the mini suites tub shower combo. Anyone familiar with this ship and what is the better choice. The price difference is not much.
