There is a huge parking lot for strollers when I go there. You limit yourself to 10% of the park if you are unable to cross the bridges.
-totems
-capilano history
-gift shop
-cafeteria
-washrooms
Nothing nearby but lots of hiking trails.
Canyon lights is only available in December. Sunset in May is around 9pm. The park closes at 8pm.
Thanks for your reply.....
At a normal walking pace.... How long does it take to cross the longest bridge?
Thanks in advance

I bought a 3 meal package to experience the restaurants on the Star.... Tried them all... Tepenyaki (sp) was OK specially after eating American fare for 11 days, but La Cucina did not impress me.
Planning to eat at Le Bistro on the Sun and was wondering if there was any real savings by ordering a package or just having pay for the meal as I go.
I am however also confused on the A L' cart selection .... Is there two menus in the specialty dinning restaurants ?
Sorry if now I confused you as well.
Thanks for the replies

We did Alaska on the jewel last summer. The pools were heated but some days warmer than other. I assume the Sun would be the same.
Thanks.....
I am bringing wet suits instead of bathing suits for both of us.... But a bit of warm water will make the sea days.... My child should have been a mermaid!
Thanks

Here is another question....
I am travelling with my little autistic girl (12) she is able to walk but I have a specialty stroller mostly for airport transfers as she is not able to carry her own carry-on.
I read on the bridge website that no wheelchair or strollers are allow on the bridge.... Would I be able to enter the premises and perhaps leave the stroller at an office and walk some of the bridge and take pictures?
Are the lights at night time active by the 26 of May?
What other activities can we do while in the Capilano surrounding area?
Thanks

When I looked on the site ..... Prices seem cheaper than Ontario....
Are they listed without taxes ? If so what is the sales tax?
Thanks

Thanks for the info....
I Google my hotel and the port and it is walking distance.... So happy, last year I had a friend give me a bottle which I was unable to get at the LCBO.... Just checked the Vancouver site and it is available :)
Sailing on a Monday.....
Thanks again

Is there a price difference between booking a dinning package ( 3, 5 or 7 ) than just one meal?
I bought a package because I wanted the experience and loved Le Bistro., the rest not so crazy about, but never looked into single pricing.
Thanks

I don't believe that any of the kids pools are heated. ?? Maybe someone else can answer for sure, but I have never felt any that were heated other than by the sunshine.
Thanks, I was hoping it was. We were on Costa Luminosa TA last Spring and the kids pool was heated..... What a treat :)

$176 x 18% x 1.33 exchange rate = $276
It's cheaper for us to buy the wine in Miami and bring on board. I don't have a great wine palate. I can likely find something I like for $5-$10 a bottle. So that is max $25/bottle x 8 = $200
In addition.... For example a bottle of J.Lhor sales in Canadian for 28 while retailing at Walgreens Miami for 12..... The aggravation of carrying it is less than the pocket and palate discomfort!
-
What happens if you put them in checked luggage? I don't mind paying the fee but don't want to carry on. Do they scan all the luggage for wine and then they would stop us before boarding?

Naughty Room
Pick up of your own suitcase after inspection
Real pain.... Best to carry it on

I am travelling with my little girl.... Who would only drink when her mood suits her .....and just likes nectars.....UDP not for me, as I would need to get the soda package for her .
Looked into wine packages of 7 bottles.... These too carry the 18%.
IMHO.....OP should consider corking wine.... I did it for both transatlantics, paying the 15.00 per 750ml bottle represented big savings..... And the ability to drink the wine of preference.
I bought couple of beer buckets on sale and what I didn't drink when served, took it to my cabin .
I even had sparkling wine to add to my orange juice in the mornings on 375ml and was charged 15 bucks for two.
Best news..... NO 18% on those bottles and can be drank any where on the ship .... Give some extra tips to the bartender of your choice and your wine will follow you to any venue.... Even your white with an ice bucket!!
Good luck

Hi there,,,
My daughter is 13 now .... We sailed first time with NCL back on 2012 she was 9.... Autistic and not high functioning .... I had the best cruise ever on the Spirit.
But here are some variables .... The crew... It varies .... Although I am not complaining .... The following year was not the same on the Star.
My sailings were over 15 days on transatlantics so less children
What did not change was the babysiting individually in the evenings .... The counselors had my child in heaven when I picked her up late.
Make sure you send all your boy's details to the Special services as soon as possible .
Good luck

Is there a store within walking distance of the port?
I would like to drop my bags and walk to the store to pick up some of the local wines for my cruise, would like to avoid carrying glass while managing suitcases.
Thanks

I have done my share of cruises with some rough waters to the point that tables slide from one side to the other...and this was the first time I was sick...and NO because there was bad weather...
Perhapas you should look into lower decks... I was in Deck 10 very high for the motion feeling.
But it wasa good to sleep...feeling rocked by....once awake...well... not so much fun... :(

Hi everybody!! I am new in this fórum, I'm from Spain (Canary Isles ;) ),so sorry about my bad English!! I'll make a cruise in July in the Armonia, and would like to ask you something that got me really worried:It moves quite a lot? people get sick easily in this ship? because I read some people's experience about this, and they say it moves a lot, but want to know your experience!
Thanks so much in advance!

The dry dock left the Armonia with new flat screen TVs... I was in a cabin that was not modified,,, but it was lovely...
New linen and pillows for sure,,,will post pics soon
Can you tell me if the cabins on the Armonia were updated during the recent refit? I notice on the website it still shows old TVs in the cabin photos. I would hope they would have at least replaced all of the old TVs with flat screen LEDs. Looks like they may have only done that with the new cabins that were added but not the older ones? -

Any time reallly
...those French boys were wonderful.... we were in port in the morning and they took our suitcases and even labelled my laptop (carry-on as Fragile) ...
Embarkation will start at 1pm
You need taxi to get to the old port (MRS centre) there is a hop on bus for 20 euros or the city train with just one stop at the ND Garde can't remember but think its 8 bucks.
You can also catch the ferry for about 11 it runs to the fort,,,then to the other island and the whole thing can be done in two hours.
MRS needs a break,,,yes the city is poor...dirty...but they are trying... don't let the graffittttiiii scare you...lots of North African and middle Eastern residents....embrace the difference and try to see MRS for the history...lots of scaffoldings, so they are trying.......if you are into the beach....bus 82 will take you to a nice bay at The Catalans,,,,, crystal clear water and it was fun for my squirrel.
Have a crape.... I can't!!!
PS: Bathrooms at McDonalds require a code (free use with a purchase)
Enjoy
I will be sailing on the MSC Armonia and flying in to Marseille and need to get from the Airport to the cruise ship very early and am wondering how soon I will be able to check in luggage so I can venture out and do a bit of sightseeing in the city before the cruise sets sail. Any advice on the best way to do this and how easy it will be to get from the dock into the city? Ship does not set sail until 6 PM and I will be getting to the airport at 10 AM. -
I will be in port without excursion. .....looking for a place where to buy pop/juices/water/beer/liquor and ice for a beach cooler before heading to the beach.....
I am travelling with my Autistic child and I don't have the luxury of leaving her
in the sand while I get drinks from a stand.
Any help with directions is appreciated.
Thanks
