  1. Thank you for your wonderful,  comprehensive review. Love your pix and commentary. I also found the script font hard to read. I am also on an iPad but I am not sure that was the problem. Compared to the original font the script appeared smaller and fainter. Gray rather than black, which did make it harder to read.  Either way, keep up the review! Iceland is on my bucket list and your review is only confirming that for me. Thx.

  2. FYI. Just checked our Equinox Western Carib cruise departing in 2 and one half weeks.  There was a banner that said 10% off the classic to premium upgrade.  BUT, the price quoted was $16.42 a day which is $14 plus 18%.  What I figured to pay.  It stated the discount was included in the listed price but obviously not.  I only want to upgrade my package as DH doesn't really drink so I will wait till aboard anyway.

  3. I am going to jump in to this conversation and ask a question as there seems to be some on this thread that are familiar with the procedure for boarding the Equinox with wheel chair assistance.  We will be driving to the port on 12/15.  We have arranged for my husband to be given wheelchair assistance to board.  Typically there is somewhere outside the terminal that you are to sit and wait for the "pusher" and a chair.  My problem is I must drop the luggage, assist him to this waiting location and then go find parking and get back to him.  It would help a lot if I knew relatively where the waiting station is.  Anyone have any helpful info?  Thx in advance.

  4. We are on the 3/18 Silhouette cruise leaving from Terminal 29, but not till late as ship is dropping passengers in Miami before sailing to Ft. Laud. Our email from Celebrity said check-in would begin at 2 and embarkation would begin at 2. Any recommendations on how to handle this? I usually try to get to the port by 11:30 for a 12 embarkation. Would it be smart to get to the port around 1:30 or will we be at the back of the line? Anyone experienced this yet? Thanks. Marilyn

  5. Has anyone done the "Chocolate Seaside Workshop, Tasting and Wine Pairing" excursion offered by Celebrity? Can't see any reviews online. Looking for something different and not too active for our group. Any comments appreciated.

  6. My understanding was that in the past if you had the Classic Package and ordered a drink beyond the limit, you paid the whole price, but if you had the Premium package, you only paid the difference. I have seen several references in this thread to paying the difference with the Classic package. Have the rules changed?

  7. We have been assigned late dining (boo hoo, too late) and we are on the waiting list for Anytime dining. On all other cruises the Maitre 'D was available the first day, in the dining room, for anyone needing to request a change to their dining assignment. Is that true on Carnival? Specifically we will be on the Breeze 2/13. Thanks. Marilyn

  8. Question. Unless you were getting a discount or miles for purchasing the gift card, why wouldn't you just go online to the funshops and load cruise cash onto your shipboard account. That way you do not have to go buy the card or go stand in line at Guest Services to have it put on your account? I do realize the cruise cash is not refundable if not left over but I just would not purchase too much of it. Seems easier to me. Am I missing something? Marilyn
