  1. These taxi charges, especially the $12 add on for a $5 park pass seems like a real tourist RIP OFF. Don’t understand why thr forest service hasn’t done anything about this overcharging. With the BLUE BUS and tour company shuttles not being given a forest pass they can no longer take you to MENDENHALL.  SO SAD.

None of the COVID tests are FDA cleared or approved.  They are "authorized" under "emergency use authorization".  Abbott states this about Binax:

The BinaxNOW™ COVID-19 Antigen Self Test has not been FDA cleared or approved. It has been authorized by the FDA under an emergency use authorization

If you are going to Canada doesn’t it need to be proctored

I think most take 7 day cruises and not happy we will still have to test. Very stressful.

I was very stressed for months about the testing. Was going to go to Walgreens because at one point they were free, travel companions had an appt at SAC airport at an approved urgent care, they cancelled appt a few days before appt.

we all had IHEALTH at home tests so decided the best thing to do was to pay for an internet proctor service and use the tests we had. Made 4 appts with rapidtestandtrace, the easiest testing for $20 per person.  No problems and RCI accepted the paperwork, no question I would use them again and not fret.

thank you for posting the link. Sometimes the search function doesn't work well on CC. I couldn't remember the name. I have book marked it for use in December!

We used the free IHEALTH home test, package of two tests, used both for two people to test with rapidtestandtrace.com You can use other home test kits as long as they are FDA approved.

we made an appointment a few days before we needed it, the proctor company charged $20 per person and on the day we used the link they provided and there proctor walked us thru the process. They immediately sent us the results and stayed until we confirmed it was received.  Easy and fully accepted by Royal Caribbean.

I don't know the answer to that and what I am gathering, all Walgreens are different.  Here in Newport News we were able to book same day, Wednesday, before a Friday sailing.  Another good reason to have those video test kits handy in case your local Walgreens/CVS are not available.

There are no grats on the C&A perk drinks. Drinks covered by the drink package already include grats, so there are no grats billed on those either. The only time you should see grats is if you outright buy a drink or the drink you get is above the limit of the package/perk.

We cruised on the Navigator         May 23-27. Pool heaters are broken and hot tubs were severely overcrowded.

Thanks for the replies. Oasis class ships have a too-small Windjammer, so definitely need other choices.  I know that Park Cafe is a good alternative, so we'll probably go to DC when we want basic, and PC when we want something a little more.

There are other sites you can use besides the actual iHealth site...

Yes, they were good, quick and report generated while still connected to proctor.

We don’t have the free tests from IHealth. We received other ones. Where did you see the list of tests that can be used? I didn’t see it on the page

Go to or find Rapid test devices, at the very bottom of the page, scroll down and there is a list of FDA approved tests.  If the free tests you have are FDA approved listed on your box, they should be on the list and OK to use.

I saw a post here awhile ago that there’s a site that charges 10.00 to proctor a test, and we can use the free ones that we received from the government. I don’t remember the site, maybe someone can post a link here.

Rapidtest&trace.com - very easy. We used our free IHEALTH tests but they have quite a list of free tests that you can use. You can make an appt. Get your results immediately and the cost was $20 per person.  I recommend and RCI accepted, no issues.

  9. Just got off this cruise on June 24th and we are diamond+. I will attempt to give you my take on your questions:

    Hi all

this our second cruise post Covid, first one with Royal Caribbean so I have few questions. Just booked 4 night out of California.

    1) does this ship has a diamond lounge?
YES, on 4th deck past Boleros
    2) does this ship has continental breakfast for diamond? How about happy hours? Any snack’s

at happy hours. Do they still do the free 3 drinks per person per evening?

They have breakfast in dining room and Windjammer. Did not go in the Diamond lounge so don’t know about continental breakfast but I would imagine this has not changed. Happy hour is still available but you have to use your drink perk in the lounge. Again did not go in but I am sure there are snacks. NO free drinks since you have to use your drinks on your seapass which Is diamond 4 drinks diamond+ 5 drinks.
    3)  what about water any free water for diamond members if not can I buy water pre cruise. We couldn’t do it in the past but we got water at happy hours and could get water with the 3 daily complimentary drinks per person per day

We got two free waters in our cabin upon arrival, no others were free. Your drinks on your seapass are good for $13 drinks so water was never our choice.

cruising has changed but we still enjoyed our cruise - don’t miss the ice show, it was great.

  10. Completed our tests today with rapidtestandtrace.com

easy to do, printed our negative results so on our way tomorrow.

can’t believe how stressed I was, seriously these tests work. Have two EMED tests that I will use for our Hawaii cruise in Sept.
everything is great. Please try not to stress out like I did, these proctored tests are easy. Enjoy your cruise.

I just booked this proctored site for our testing and will be using IHEALTH free tests with the proctor. My kids were scheduled with Sacramento airport but it shut down yesterday so decided I was done being stressed. Royal accepts this testing proctor.

We go to the dining room for breakfast, good choices with some buffet style options along with delivered menu choices. Not too many children. Don’t know if still an option not sailed during Covid years.
