  2. If you stay at the Hyatt Airport Northwest, one double room has enough space for 6 people; they provide a shuttle to/from the airport; free breakfast; and free Wi-Fi. You also can get a AAA discount. Our rate (4 adults; 2 teens) is $120 for one night. The hotel is very nice. They will also drive you to eateries that are less than 5 miles from the hotel.

  3. Great info! I agree with connecting cabins on the Dream. We usually have a Cat 4A w/a verandah. The connecting cabins lend enough space for 10 people. Last year we paid $5600 for two Cat 4A connecting cabins on a 4-day cruise. We had 5 adults and two 13-year olds. If you are comfortable, plan the trip yourself via the DCL website. It adds to the excitement! I have never used a travel agent for my family trips.

  4. We do Atlantis and reserve a room for the day; it cost much less than the Atlantis Adventure excursion (@ 169.00 pp for adults). A room at the Beach Tower with tax is around $325.00 for 2 adults and 2 children. Transportation to Atlantis from the Dock is less than $50.00 round trip. The lines can be long, they move fast.

  5. This will be our 4th DC and I really think the food is just ok. The children's meals are not very appealing. One year, they served peas with every kids meal. Peas! Most adults don't like peas! On the next cruise, we ended up ordering special items for the kids; this worked well.

  6. I'm talking about the atrium area being filled with table after table (at least 10 of them) of flea market quality, made in China junk. Junky jewelry, junky sunglasses, junky photo frames, junky junk that you might see in a Dollar Store. It clogged up the flow of traffic and really made the atrium area look tacky and tasteless.

I've never experienced this on the Dream in any of our 3 trips. Nor have we experienced a server in the theater; although there was a bar outside.
