Hi Everyone ~ New to the boards and wow are they informative! We are sailing Explorer Feb 2013( so far away ! ). We first sailed Royal on the Monarch 16 years ago were DH proposed to me :). Anyway ,we are looking forward to this cruise with our 14 yo daughter. Ive got sooo many questions but Ill take it slow ..hahaa!
Does anyone know if they offer any mother / daughter spa packages? Nails , massages etc ?
Thanks in advance!
Welcome to Cruise Critic! You'll love the Explorer, so much to do and a great crew. As far as spa packages go, they don't have mother/daughter packages but they do have specials when the ship is in port. I wou
D avoid the spa on the days when there is a formal night as the spas get very busy. I'm sure you'll have loads of ?'s and there's always someone here to answer.

Is comfort food available near the Lido deck pools that is included in your fare. I thinking of hamburgers, wings, fries, etc. Also is sushi available?
All of the above is available in the Windjammer which is the pool deck. I think Sushi is available in the evenings only at casual dining in the Windjammer.

What type of selection is there in the Windjammer for lunch? We found that, on smaller ships like Enchantment and Majesty, there was less selection, whereas Liberty had everything the small ships had plus more, i.e., sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, fries--in addition to the pasta, meat, vegetable, etc. stations.
Explorer will be similar to Liberty.

We are taking EOS in January 11 days, out of Bayonne, and will be stopping in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Does anyone know which port in San Juan we will be docking at, or how I can find out, Thanks Terri
She'll be docking in Old San Juan.

On the Canival Fantasy in the early 90,s they had a American themed night. In the dining room were many American service men in full dress uniforms, very impressive. The Star Spangled Banner was sung and everyone stood respectfully, even us Canadians. Not to be out done when everyone sat down our group ,(approx.60) started to sing Oh Canada, with out exception every Marine ,sailor, airman soldier in the room stood at attention .I have never seen such a show of respect.
Such a nice story!

Every time I've sailed her, there's been a Caribbean Night with dancing on the pool deck and a buffet about 11pm. They also do a 70's theme in the Promenade just prior to Quest. I'll be back in June so I can let you know what happens. Oops! One more thing..they do a 60's night with Elvis impersonators.
