I was also going to ask where you saw this as I've never noticed the offer on any of our cruises but I'll be watching for it now.

For the people who were able to use the double OBC an any cruise - do you know if it would be transferable if you got home and decided to switch cruises?

Not sure if the whole thing was transferable.  There were notices sent out everywhere , in the Patter and there was a big sign at the past passenger desk.  We got 3 flyers in our cabin with specific lists of cruise deals that could be booked (in addition to any other you wanted) as well as two forms already filled out for FCD that you could just sign and put in the box.  We were on the Pacific Princess and they told us that 89% of the passengers were Platinum and Elite so they were well traveled.  There was nearly always someone waiting to book a cruise and get the bonus.  They did say it was for new bookings only.

  2. We just got off of the Pacific Princess last week.  On most port days the onboard time was 5:30pm with a 6pm sailing.  There was one port that we did not leave until 1am and it was open seating that night.  The two "actual" on board dining times were 5:30pm and 7:45pm, although they almost always opened up at 7:30pm.  We had second sitting and were not affected at all.  The first sitting folks needed to be onboard earlier.  I did hear a couple of people say that they had asked to join a table on second sitting when they  missed their dining and they were able to accomodate them.  (There were many empty tables regularly around us on most nights)

  3. I would have no issue with any of our names on cabin.  I want our friends to find us.  I feel safe on a cruise and take all proper precautions to guard my identity and property.  My Children would be under adult supervision at all times  and those who are older would never be out alone.  We had several family groups on our last cruise.  We worried more about the 94 year old getting lost or in trouble!

  4. We have 3 ports with Princess excursions on our next cruise.  For those 3 trips they have increased in price $10, $30 and $50 for a total of $90 per person since I booked them months ago.  We had a 4th tour that we changed our mind and canceled.  I would book any trips that are "unique" or in high demand as soon as you know you want them.  Keep checking for newly added excursions as Princess does add selections as time goes on.

I have mobility issues. Would it be  walkable for me from the Princess lodge to Pike's Landing?

Pikes is basically on the other end of the Princess parking lot.  It is a wonderful restaurant!  The Sunday Brunch is amazing.

  6. We have purchased the package for our cruises for the last 4 years and love it.  I have had the same issues with handing my nice camera off to someone for photos.....very poor photos....so we like to have photos taken.  I make albums online from our trips and really only want the digital copies.  I just checked our drives from the last couple of cruises for the picture size.  It ranges from 450kb to 3.5mb depending on the type of picture and the ship.  Photos from the Star were larger than those from the Regal.   I've had no issues blowing any of them up for my albums which are 11" x 14" so some of the prints were 8 X 10.  We don't buy many souvenirs.  I figure that the pictures are my best souvenir .

Would you have been able to buy the nesting doll with EURO or USD? wondering if I need to get Rubles for my upcoming cruise. TIA

I collect Russian Santas and bought 6 throughout St. Petersburg all with a CC.   There is a very large selection of Matryoshka dolls at several shops in the Cruise Ship Terminal and the prices were comparable to the shops in town.  (I found some of the best Santas there)  All take CC.  We had no need for Rubles anywhere.

However it will not work to check in for the cruise.

We had 6 family members use it in March to board for our family cruise.  3 were children.  We were told it is equivalent to a passport for travel only to North American countries only and is valid for flights.

    Here is what I found:

You can cruise with just a passport card. But… ... Although US and Canadian passport holders are not currently required to sail with a passport on most domestic itineraries (includingAlaska, Bermuda, Canada, Caribbean, Hawaii, and Mexico and Panama Canal), Princess Cruises highly recommends they are carried.Jan 28, 2019

  9. We booked one flight from Copenhagen last year on BA through EZair.  It was regular economy with one bag included.  We were not able to pick seats until it was completely paid for, which we did early as I wanted to pay/select certain seats.

This year we are flying to Heathrow roundtrip on flights that are AA serviced by BA.  We booked one leg through EZair and the return direct with AA on points.   They both include one bag and we were able to select seats right away for both without paying upfront on EZair.  We paid for upgraded seats for 1 seat going and 2 seats on the return.

    Good day

Our first cruise ever, will be on Princess Northbound Glacier to Alaska in July. We are interested in booking a balcony breakfast. We ate considering two options:

1- first sea day out of Vacouver. It may be warm and calm seas and hence a good time.

2- day in Glacier Bay, this would be after 3 long port days. Might bel a good way to relax and enjoy the start of what we hope will be a spectacular day. Our cabin will be mid-aft starboard, if that makes a difference.

Your thoughts are welcome. What would you do?

We did the breakfast in Glacier Bay on our Honeymoon.  We ordered for around 10 to be sure we were in the bay.  It was wonderful!

Hi, could I ask how you paid for lunch...we are booked with TJ tours ...should we take roubles or just use credit/debit card? Is it easy to draw out cash from somewhere if needed and can you recommend anywhere for lunch...we don't want a 3 course large meal as we will have a good breakfast and don't tend to eat a large lunch at home or on holiday!

    Thank you in advance

Our lunches on both days with TJ were included in the tour price.  We never needed any cash in Russia and were able to make all purchases with credit cards.
