Victory Victory...Made appointment Saturday, photos taken Sunday.  Visited Passport office to apply this morning. In and out in 20 minutes for both of us.  Was told to go to lunch or shopping and come back at 2:00.   Did so and passports ready and waiting for us thanks to the courtesy and efficiency of the staff at the Passport office in Portsmouth NH.

Now I just have to make the changes in the Princess AP to reflect our new status.

Again thanks to all who chimed in on this problem which I caused by not reading the full info under Passport requirements..  I assumed valid was valid, not so for some destinations.

It was possible to purchase with credit or debit card which may be a new thing because it was stated in a post on this subject that cash or check was needed.

Victory indeed. If you are TSA qualified,  make sure to let the airlines know your new passport number as well.

  2. On Oceania- Maina. Ending Jan 11in Buenos Aires.  Boarding 7 Seas Splendor same day. Need a Brazilian visa. Having terrible time getting visa. I Visa keeps asking for the same info. Does anyone have a customer service email for I Visa? We are using cell phones. We applied back in Nov before boarding ship. Was in line / que until the app opened earlier in Dec. Very frustrating.  Any help will be appreciated.

  3. Wow, such good info. We are jumping ship ourselves. Princess; over 750 days. Have cruised most others. Really looking forward to O, 39 days Miami to Buenos Aires. Then walking off &  right on Regent Seven Seas Splendor, back to Miami. 30 days. Feeling giddy we made the right choice trying something new. Thanks for the wonderful encouragement.

We have taken busses from Valparaiso to Santiago.  They were great.   Highway buses that left it seemed every half hour.  Several different bus companies.  We paid something like $4. one way each.

The bus goes to a terminal in Santiago where you can subsequently get another bus directly to the airport.  We chose to stay at the Ibis Hotel, just around the block for that reason.  There is a subway stop there which we use each day.

I have no doubt that you can get an inexpensive, fast bus to San Antonio.  After getting off the ship, we spent a few days in Valparaiso.   We were shocked at what Princess had been charging for Santiago transfers compared to the cost of what we paid for the highway bus.

The bus it will be on March 3. Thanks.

We always travel with 750ml Tupperware bottles which I fill / refill with potable water out of the tap in our cabin.  Sometimes I refill from the water station in the buffet using the glass to bottle technique but spillage is always a problem and people get irritated* because it takes a short while.  Cruising NZ on the Sun Princess in 2018, I took ship's water off and brought  NZ water back.  Nobody has ever questioned me about this practice and I've cruised to 16 countries since 2012.  However, if I were queried by NZ Bio Officers, I would be polite and comply with their requirements.  It never pays to challenge anyone with the power to fine, detain or cavity search you.  Unless, of course, at least one of these forms part of your bucket list.

*Don't understand why people get irritated on a ship.  In my mind, 'tis all about settle petal and smell the roses.

I bring a funnel. I get a glass of water. Then use f mess.unnel into my bottle. No

  7. Not a newbie. However we haven't cruised NCL since 2006. Just booked the Dawn for fall; New England cruise.

Have a few questions & would appreciate any pearls of wisdom that might be shared.

Does Dawn have coffee pots in outside cabins?

How about a coffee card / package.?

We don't really go to the speciality restaurants . Any tidbits to get the most out of the " free" restaurants that aren't really published? ( shrimp cocktail, french onion soup, escargot,  things like that)

Is there a free sauna/ steam room to enjoy?

How about an adults only pool?

    Thanks,
