Do solo travelers ever get a chance at having the CT? Or just couples?

We did walk to the wall. Our stay was delightful. The hotel gave us a deluxe room, without up charge. Hotel perfect for our needs. Grocery store / Bodega across the street.

We cruised out of Quebec. There was only 1 Best Western downtown. We walked all over, enjoying the fall weather. Cab from airport was cheap, & regulated prices. You can get Canadian $$ at the airport. Cab's did not want US $$.

We were there in Dec. We hired a taxi for the day. $80 US for 4 hours, we had 4 people. We ended up with the taxi 5 1/2 hours. Keep walking down the pier...stay firm at $80....We had a blast with our taxi driver. I found another couple to share the cost. Pretty inexpensive day.

Sammi was our cruise director from LA to Shanghai, last April. We had dancing at the Captain's party. We thought Sammi was one of the best CD we ever had. I don't ever let a CD determine what cruise I take, or should I cancel because they are on board. To each there own decision.

I had 2 beers confiscated in Quebec in October. Yes...2 beers.

We disembarked the Sapphire Princess in May. It took no time at all to clear customs. About the usual time it takes in Fort Lauderdale. Quick & easy. Taxi wanted Chinese $$ rather than creditcards.

I am on The Ruby Oct. 2 sailing...Bummer for us. We were hoping for the " upgrade fairy". I guess all we can say is NOT. Oh well...come on over & sail with us thru the Canadian waters.

We are on the Princess ship Oct 2. I checked flying into NYC then taking a bus, or taking a train. I checked flying into Montreal, then renting a car, or taking a train, or taking a bus. I found us seats OW $165 MSP-YQB. So happy to be flying directly into Quebec City.

For Potstech; you really shouldn't be such a smart as to an Air Traffic Controller....

We don't have one either. We have an ME guarantee. If all the MC, MD, & ME have been assigned, all that is left to 'upgrade to' are MB & MA.

 

I still don't understand the delay. We are 48 hrs away at this point. :mad:

Thanks for the fax #. I too got a great deal on the Singapore to Singapore 11 day Nov 27. When my regular agent couldn't / wouldn't discount, or throw any OBC my way; I switched to an online TA. I did send her an email explaining the reason I didn't book with her agency. I guess these last minute, firesales, there's not much commission for them to deal with. So she said. Oh well, the agency I booked with was happy for my business & very pleasant to deal with.

Just booked a cruise thru an online agency, rather than agency I usually use. Now to fax my stockholder credit myself. Can someone please put the fax # to obtain stock holder credit myself? Thanks.

Just bid 3 star downtown Quebec city; and got Best Western for $68 a night. I am happy.

We book guarantee cabins all the time. We have NEVER been upgraded out of our original cabin guarantee catagory. We are Elite. I believe Princess upgrades others who are 1st timers or non Elite. We are very satisfied with the guarantee program.

Sailing on the Crown next month. I am considering booking "Taku Lodge Feast & 5-Glacier Seaplane Discovery” out of Juneau - or possibly just the flight without the lodge.

 

Comments from anyone who has done either? Is the two hours extra for the lodge visit (and meal) worthwhile?

We have taken Taku flight twice. DO IT!!! It is breath taking. A lovely experience. Nice salmon meal.

The next time we are in the area, we will definately take the taku flight again. Go for it.

Do they iron your clothes, too? Or is that hoping for too much?

 

Princess will just iron clothes as well. Be careful...Princess washes in HOT water & drys the heck out of the clothes. I do NOT send any delicates or hand washables to the laundry.

We had an issue with loud noise, called the pursers desk, they came & took care of the issue.

How did you find out what movies will be shown on your cruise in advance?

Did hotel Maya have a free shuttle to the grocery store or CVS?

Who is the cruise director? Know if he / she will be on the transpacific in April?

How far is Torrence from San Pedro pier? Anyone know if Thrifty will give a ride back to the San Pedro pier after rental?

We took a Sinorama cruise last Nov. The cruise was 11 days, down the Yangtze River. Light jacket & layered clothes. We are from Minnesota, & the weather was typical to our Nov weather.

Has anyone ever cruised the Yangtze River on the Centrury Diamond cruise ship? Wanting to know what amenities were on board in the cabin. And what was provided on the ship. Taking a 11 day cruise in Nov; down the Yangtze River. Curious.
