Stayed at Riverside Hotel in April before our cruise, because of the recommendation from these boards. Hotel was over rated. EXPENSIVE. they charged $27 a night to park our car rental. Rooms were small. The hotel tried to upsell for " nicer room", or " bigger " room. I wouldn't waste my $$ on Riverside Hotel again. Plenty of other less expensive choices.

Cruising into POM and cruising out of Port Everglades, same day. What is the best option to get to Fort Lauderdale pier? If car rental, which ones are closest to POM?

Can anyone tell me if they have had a cabin under the Horizon Court was it very noisy? I was told there is carpet, so it should not be noisy. It is on the Crown in the middle aft 600s. I usually don't book these cabins, but it was an upsell, and I wanted to be near the Terrace pool. Thanks.

We were on the Royal last yr. for 20 days. Worst cabin ever. Noisy; 24 hours a day with carts. Don't book any cabin under the Horizon court..

We are Elite. We like the idea, if we want, we can get fresh vegies to snack on between 5-7 PM. Our last cruise B2B for 20 days, not once did we attend on the Royal. We didn't feel we missed out. It's a perk we rarely use. But...if we want, we can go & enjoy ourselves. Our next cruise will be on the Royal TA. Probably crowded as well.

Alliance has a yearly policy. It covers you 100 miles from home. We paid $498 for the 2 of us. Being we have a lake home 180 miles away, & hubby hunts. This policy fits the bill for us. Just throwing this out as an additional option. Make sure to read all the contact to make the decision that works for each of us, as individuals.

Thinking of taking an upsell to a mini suite. Regarding the bathroom, besides a tub, is the shower larger than other cabins? What amenities are included with the mini suite, that are different from a balcony cabin? I realize, the cabin is larger & has a couch. 1st time considering a mini suite. Thanks.

we did not have a bathroom on board the bus.

The casino has smoke free nights when it is formal nights. You can charge chips to your cabin account without commission.

We had a 12:30 flight in May. We had plenty of time at the airport. Even had time to sit in the Delta Crown roof & eat before our flight. 12:45 is doable. Don't worry.

I have always found prices good in Aruba. There's a grocery store near the port. I always fill my Columbia quota there.

We were on the Sapphire Princess last Apr. L.A to Shanghai. 21 days. They had wonderful lectures, daily. Very informative. Very intersting. I sure hope Princess does not cut back on the type of lectures.

While reading a blog, I thought I read free shuttle in FLL to the Galeria Mall. I will be doing a B2B & thought that might be a good idea. Anyone know if it is true? If so, anyone know the schedule for this feee shuttle? It would be Sat; April 25. Thanks.

OMG, the 12th of never was our wedding song. We will celebrate 39 years this year. Must be a good omen of a song.

I occasionally have worn jeans ashore. But I never them on the ship. It is my personal opinion. Layers will be my wardrobe once we leave Bermuda. I also try and "shake " the American look. Scarfs and my favorite black boots.

I have gone so far to ask the vacating cabin what time they expect to depart from the ship. I explain I will be moving to their cabin. This way, I can " sorta " plan. Walk off's vs. last color luggage called. I do not rush them. It just helps me plan if I also have the time to " sleep in".

I boarded at 11 AM. I an Elite. I did not make the chefs table. I was also one of the lucky Elites to have lunch with the Captain. No rhyme no reason.

Try Ubr. Fellow cruisers paid $66 for 4 people, including luggage from pier to IAH last Sunday.

Actually, 2 nights the music did stop before midnight. This band was so lousy no one was in Club Fusion listening to them. They may have quit early due to lack of audience and my request to knock off early. If they had just lowered the volume on the speakers and had the drummer back off a bit there would not have been a problem.

Susie, I beg to differ. I truely enjoyed the band Wavelength. I was in Club Fusion when abruptly their 2nd set was canceled. There were more than 2 people in Club Fusion. Princess does have many venues for the many different tastes it's passengers can enjoy. It was to bad you were such a light early sleeper. Hopefully, you get the credit on your credit card.

Last week on the Emerald Princess, the shops closed at 9 PM on the last night. Other nights, they were open to 11 PM.
