For those on the cabin crawl, starting to get to photos up as they closed our Roll Call which is where I told people I would put them.

We were in cabin 10500 which is two decks under the bridge directly on the centerline of the Oasis of the Seas on the Eastbound Trans-Atlantic crossing. We hosted up our cabin for the cabin crawl and had some fun with it.
I got about 50 photos to post up and then hope to get our review out at first time Oasis and first time RCL passengers.
If you reply to the thread, try and not "quote the photos" as it doubles my bandwidth use. Thanks!
So to the next guest in 10500 we left the steering to you in the hopes that you will leave it for the next guests.

How was the embarkation process in Southampton? Did they have a replay of the chaos of the Oasis of the Seas TA that happen a few weeks back?

+2 for us.
So far, nobody has told us that we look like fools, whereas at least twice a cruise, someone asks were we got our lanyards.
Ours came from an F1 race at the Spa track in Belgum. But they are found all over the place.
(and if someone is bothered by my lanyard, that's not really my problem. that's theirs.)
I ask a question last cruise to one man wearing a RCL polo shirt with a RCl lanyard around his neck where something was on the ship. He got pissed at me because I thought he was an employee of RCL. The way he responded got my response, if you don't want people to think you are an employee, don't dress like one.
That said: Don't wear the shirt of the band you are going to see.

Legally, airplanes cannot flight at such an altitude and the satellite I can't see or hear. Ironically, I live in a the flight path of a small state airport and it doesn't bother me at all. Someone buzzing my house with a camera mounted drone deserves what ever projectile comes the drones way.
You do that and you may not be cruising for awhile.
-
The libertarian side of me says make no laws restricting use as long as I'm immune from prosecution for shooting them down if they enter my home's air space. ;)
So, do you shoot at airplanes when they fly over your home' air space? Are satellites safe or do they need to go too?
Every time I hear something like this I think of this:

Just what I'm hoping for, to see a drone in my view of a sunset.
Somewhat similar to 30 lit up Ipads and phone screens popped up in the dark theater in front of me.
You must have been in he same Cats showing behind the segregated elite rows where there were no less the five cameras filming most of the show.

Nope, I don't see the hoards of children. ;)
The thirty or so that were onboard were rarely seen after the boarding event.

Titanic, really? Anybody drown, around 1,500 did on the Titanic. I'm not saying it wasn't a rough crossing, but nobody lost their life did they?
I see that you reread my post. After it was pointed out to you.
Sorry if some think that I and others are critical of "not the normal RCL cruise", but in my career one is not judge by the thousands of good flights, but the one that something went wrong.

Dont let a few peoples reviews out of thousands of people who have had a great time influence you.ALL forums are a place where alot of people like to complain. Most cruisers are not even part of a forum and just go and have a great time and dont post about it.I have had nothing but a fantastic time on all of my royal cruises. We are going on oasis in a couple of werks and expect to have a great time again.Trans atlantic is way diff then a carribean cruise. No comparison.
Were you on this cruise?
Is this a photo of a normal boarding in Ft. Lauderdale?

Wilda, what I do is put my wet suit on and go play in the flowrider, but then that is similar to what I do without the wet suit on nice days.
OB, I find that a TA allows you to really find time to get to know a ship, and because most of the people on the ship are mature, there are fewer people on the flowrider.:D
On a TA you really get to meet some other people, and those are generally the only cruises where the meet and mingles are tolerable.
jc
You know how we can tell you were not on this cruise?
The Meet and Mingle should have been renamed to the "Meet and have the Italian guy give away crap so that the Cruise Critic Members can't meet up and compare notes on how things were sucking at that point". Really, in the ice rink? Which is able to be covered for some dance event.
This is our first trans Atlantic and our first RCl cruise, and I was told numerous times that this was not normal of RCl. I would like to just put this thought into everyone's mind:
With the total lack of communication, supervisor level management, and disorganization of this cruise, had anything bad happened it would be a Titanic level disaster.
-
If this was a disaster:
"We were on the Oasis last April, and the Allure last week. Loved the Oaais, not the Allure. There was no service in the Windjammer buffet, was totally disorganized. Bananas in a bowl by the ketchup and mayo, not with the other fruit. It was a disaster. I hope they do a better job in their new endeavor."

I can only imagine how she would have felt in Southampton.
