My driver's name is Crescencio with Black Hat Cozumel... They have a website, but I usually just send him a message on Facebook Messenger... He's a regular taxi driver when he's not giving pre arranged tours. I've been riding with him since 2014. He knows everyone on the island, as he's lived there all his life.
My favorites are Mezcalitos on the East Side, as well as the Coconut Cabana AKA Miami Bar AKA 25 Hour Bar, also on the East Side. Dick's Dive on the square is also one of my go to places in town...
If you've never tried it, the 'Cozumel Bar Hop' is a great time! Get on a bus at Senor Frogs and stop at 4 different bars on the east side of the island. Check it out. They have a website.

We are booked on the POA in September, so I called NCL and the rep told me that this applied for the July/August sailings and that in September we'd once again be able to come and go as we please. But I'm sure that can always change.

Maybe a dumb question, but what's a test cruise?
-
I agree with rollie. The French onion soup is terrific.
-
Just location. C2 cabins are generally more mid-ship.
Ok, thanks. We did get a veranda midship.
And I meant 2018, not '16.

My wife and I have booked a cruise on the Summit for November of 2016 and have been upgraded from C3 Concierge class to C2. Are there any benefits to C2 over C3? Never had this before.

I usually wait until someone is a little tipsy and push them off.
:D
(And yes I am kidding!)
Careful, I might be that tipsy guy......

My problem has always been trying to find a bar stool in the shade. lol

Have I ever not gotten off the ship?
Only on sea days. (Sorry, it's the beginning of another weekend and the Coronas are talking)

Sunset Bar for me too!

Some of the OBC shows on the web site but it seems to be a moving target. We have the same amount of OBC for each of our B2B December cruises, (we're on one of them with you). Suddenly $600 of the OBC for the 2nd cruise dropped off. We checked with our CVP and it is still there, just not showing up on line. Bottom line, take your documentation, including the receipt for the $100 you just added so you can sort it out on board if there is a problem.
Also, check your credit card statement and email from Celebrity to make sure your CC is charged and Celebrity acknowledges the purchase. If you don't get both, give them a call as we had a glitch once with on board credit that we purchased.
Thanks ChezMarylou, but where are you seeing the OBC? I'm on the 'My Cruise Summary' tab and can't find anything.
-
We're on the Silhouette in December. I know we have some OBC already, and I just added $100 more using our Celebrity/Visa card. Is there anyway to check our balance on the Celebrity website?
-
Thanks. Definitely want to check this out. Wonder why it doesn't show on Celebrities website anymore?
-
Anybody ever tried this excursion on St. Thomas? Heard that it was no longer in operation, but it still shows on the Celebrity website.
-
Just checked ours, and it says $175.00 under both the wife's and my name too.
????

Agree with any and all posts about the French onion soup in the MDR. And I believe it's served every day.
-
Maybe I missed it, but what is the cost to upgrade to the premium package if you have to do it onboard?
Sailing the Summit in December.

Wow!! Corona? Swill??
And I was going to buy you a glass of wine...
-
I normally drink only Corona. First I wasn't sure if there would be any limes for our cruise in December due to the shortage, now not sure if even the beer will be available in our classic package.
-
Heather, I see you in one of the pictures holding the drink of my choice, a Corona. Hope there wasn't a shortage of limes like I'm hearing.

Great review Heather. My wife and I, along with my brother and sis-in-law will be on the Summit 12/6/14. Flying in to San Juan 2 days early on that Thursday. Looks like plenty to keep us busy for a couple of days. You mention staying in cabin 9001 on your previous cruise. My brother will be in that room and the wife and I on the other side of the ship in 9000. Any pros/cons on this room?

Thanks for the great review Heather. My wife and I, brother and sister-in-law are sailing the Summit in December, same itinerary and really looking forward to it after seeing all of the great pictures. And I think you should take a close lock at the lens of your camera. I think someone painted a rainbow on it........
