  1. I am booked on two April 2018 sailings of Navigator booked directly with RCI both my deposits have gone through on my credit card. Cannot access the bookings though on My Cruises

Same. It disappeared off my MY Cruises account last week.

Agreed, I am glad someone else is getting the same information as me. Assuming our respective TA's are right and all works out, I am anxious to see if, and how much, the price goes up.

I don't know what you booked, but the price we booked for our room was in line with what we are paying for the Navigator this December. So hopefully you will not have a price increase.

  2. My TA assured me my booking for the 9nt sailing on April 13th, 2018 was safe, locked in, and that it would show back up on Royal's site "no sooner" than Tuesday. I trust him but I would feel better when RCCL charges my credit card for the deposit. I am pretty sure I got a steal.

We are also on that sailing, so good to know. My TA was told the exact same thing as you. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the response.

  3. I was told by head office that I can apply certificate to a booked cruise but let them know so they can make a record of it and that way they lock in the price.

I just booked a cruise for next year while onboard the Allure. I got the BOGOHO price but for this promotion they do not apply balcony discounts but instead give $300 OBC.

Can you keep the OBC for complimentary cruises? Since I am still onboard the Allure I cannot get answers from personnel onboard.

Do I still pay fees and taxes?

That is what I was told also (notating the booking to lock in price) and I did that for my pinnacle cruise next year. It is my understanding that they will not allow you to use the balcony discount, but can keep OBC from promotions or from next cruise. In our instance, we are doing an 11 night cruise in a suite. So they will prorate the lowest balcony price on our cruise as if it were a 7 night cruise and give us the value for that.

Yes, you would call the D+ desk and then ask for the Pinnacle Resolutions Rep.

Thank you, Patti, for your kindness and wealth of information :)

  4. Yes I agree the RC website is not good and has not much information on the Rhapsody. My tip for anyone going on a cruise or just going on a cruise ship for the first tims is to go with an open mind.As most people only post a review if they are unhappy about something. We have been on cruises and had people complain about everything including there not being a band near the pool and they did have a band by the pool. Also if you don't like loud musicals don't go to the shows but there are lots of other things to do.I hope you really enjoy your cruise.

    Cheers Trish

Do you by chance remember the name of the concierge onboard during your cruise on the Rhapsody?

  5. I have seen more recent pictures posted and it seems there is no change. We are still in this suite for our January cruise and I will report back here once on board. I think the proximity to the Concierge Lounge makes up for the balcony issue. I've heard that is it a really nice lounge on Anthem! :)

The last picture I saw showed the divider had been removed. ImageUploadedByForums1444047793.576212.jpg.14366dbc103e142849c89d700d08dc2e.jpg

  6. Thank you for your post. We are also booked in this suite and received visual confirmation today of the error on the deck plan and the balcony restriction of this room. We are very disappointed, especially with the premium we are paying. On our cruise, no other grand suite cabins are currently available and I just got off the phone with the D+/Pinnacle desk where they too told me this is the pitfalls of booking a new ship and I had until final payment date to cancel. I called just to let then know.

We are looking at other options now, especially for the price we are paying. We have never been disappointed in RCL in over 20 years, but I must admit this is a downer. We have at least one cabin sailing with is who will also cancel, as we cruise together. Such a shame.

  7. I know the outermost section of the divider opens, but not sure about the rest of it. I will let you know if I hear from someone who has seen it up close. Not much I can do about it now. We already moved there from a GS on deck 8 to be close to the Concierge Club. Now no other GS available for our cruise. All things considered not that big a deal, but not what I was expecting.

All the GS are gone too on our cruise. I am a bit shocked because we were expecting the larger balcony. Please let me know if you hear (or see) anything else. Thanks!
