  1. Just saved a total of $898.00 for our ATS on Allure in Feb. 2017.

I have been checking rates daily since my booking and the suite base prices have never fluctuated. The ATS sold out the day before the 30% off sale started, so I was unable to do a mock booking myself. I called C&A this am and she nicely price checked for me, and the base rates were exactly the same as before, so 30% off all guest worked in our favor. I am very HAPPY today, glad I made the call.

Unfortunately we lost the $300 OBC, but I would rather have the money saved upfront. (net savings $898 - minus $300 OBC = $598 )

  2. NO WORRIES! EVERYONE ... EVERYONE in your suite gets the amenities! You can now rest easy;). Our family is in a 2 bedroom aqua suite and we also are in "star class" for Jan 2017 on Harmony, we all will receive ultimate beverage package, unlimited specialty dining, gratuities included, along with all the other sweet suite deals! Don't cancel :D!

NO WORRIES, Another confirmation: I to was a bit concerned about who receives the perks, so I called C&A and spoke with a representative that read directly from an email that came out last week clarifying the suite perks. The email read, "All guests traveling in the suite will get the suite benefits." She stated it included beverage package for ALL, internet for ALL, specialty restaurants for ALL, etc.

When I called C&A yesterday to book the suite the second representative in C&A also confirmed by reading the email sent down from the top clarifying the benefits. I was then satisfied and booked the 2-bedroom aquatheater suite for (8), so this was a huge deal for us.

  3. My family and I are planned for Oasis next July. We have the RLS and both SLS.I am interested in any information people have on the confirmed perks. Such as spa treatments, royal genie (one per suite since there are only 7 suites at that level), etc. I have called and asked but haven't gotten very good answers and it appears some members on here have a direct line to some knowledgeable people. Thanks.

My family of 4 and my sisters family are staying in the AquaTheater suite on the Allure next Feb. I booked it through C&A representative, because the direct RCL agent was not very helpful in explaining the suite perks.

I spoke with (2) separate people in C&A this past week and they both confirmed that "ALL" guest in the suite will have the suite perks.

There are (8) of us and I was told that "ALL" will get beverage package, internet, specialty restaurants, etc.

Both representatives read it directly off an email that was drafted this past week, due to the high influx of questions from people booking these suites.

We are super excited and can't wait until we meet our "Genie"

  4. We were in 14730 last month. These rooms were originally sold as GS but the sign on the door shows Aquatheater.

Do you have any pics of the balcony? Would love to see the size. It also appears that the overhang above covers most of the deck, did you get much sun?

    Thanks!

  5. Another vote for Chops. Our meal was fantastic and the pace of service was perfect, its a very enjoyable evening. We will continue to go back on every cruise.

Park Café was our go to for breakfast and lunch every day. Tables with great water views and never crowded, andjust the right amount of food options. The create your own salads are very fresh and the sandwiches are delicious, even the pork.

The Schooner Bar is a good place for pre-dinner cocktails. And we loved the view from the VCL in the evenings. The walking bridge is beautiful at night all lit up!

The ships pool deck never felt crowded.

Love Enchantment, as you can see, we sailed her three times. Enjoy!!

  6. Looking to book either: 14244 OS / 14250 connecting balcony OR 14644 OS / 14650 balcony on the Allure. Which combination would have the bed closest to the balcony in the standard balcony room?

I've read many posts about "the every other cabin counting method", but when it comes to the hump/suite rooms, I am uncertain. Is the room to the right the one with the bed by balcony? (even if its connected to a suite and not in the same category?)

I apologize if its been asked before.

We will be in the balcony room and would prefer the bed by the balcony.

Thanks CC members for your help

  7. Please post an example of a ship and sail date that you are trying to price. I'd like to try pricing the same exact sailing.

Allure of the Seas, Feb. 12-19, 2017. Nassau, St.Thomas, St. Martaan

Trying to price out Owners suite with adjoining standard balcony room vs Royal Family suite. (4) adults total.

Or any other possible options to keep the 4 of us enjoying cruise together, but also maintaining some level of privacy.

The one couple has a tighter budget and second couple "skies the limit"! :)

  8. Still no luck, Day 3.

I Can go through the steps of choosing cruise, but can't get any further into the booking process, cabin selection, etc.

Tried: Mac, IE, Incognito, Chrome, and various WiFI connections.

Just read last post about security error, but I cant find that error?

    This is so aggravating.

  9. My sister and her husband just put a hold on the Owners Suite on

Allure for 2017, and my DH and I have the adjoining standard balcony room next to them. At check-in, if we arrive together, do we have to board separately or can board with priority since we are traveling with family in a suite?

My husband and I are Gold C&A and will be Platinum on the last day of the cruise.

Are there any suite benefits or functions that we can join with my sister and her husband? We understand if we can't, but it doesn't hurt to ask. The four of us are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary together. We had a double wedding in St.Thomas on a cruise and we found it only fitting to celebrate together again in St. Thomas. :)

Thanks in advance for any responses or suggestions

  10. Hello CC members:

I need help deciding on a 7-day Eastern Caribbean cruise in Feb. 2017.

My DH and I will be celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary.

We were married in St. Thomas while cruising on the Carnival Inspiration in 1997. Hence, the St. Thomas port.

All 3 ships are sailing the same itinerary and port times. Splendor and Glory are sailing out of Miami, while, Magic is Port Canaveral. Either ports are fine with us. We will be flying down from PA.

Some bio. on us and our "LIKES".

We are mid 40's sailing without children. (we try to cruise once a year, but are skipping 2016.:(

    1. Balcony stateroom a must: Prime balconies available right now for 2017 sailings. (love Spa, but would love to try AFT or corner wrap)

    2. Gym/Fitness facilities: daily workouts in the early am. Loved the Breeze sports deck with outdoor options too.

    3. Outdoor Promenade: evening strolls outside after dinner

    4. Guys Burger/Blue Iguana: Like, BUT not a deal breaker

    5. Lido deck: not a fan of the stadium style deck plans

    6. Early risers/Early to bed: so evening activities not a big deal

    7. NO children: so waterslides, arcades, other activities not an issue

    8. Size if ship: we've sailed all different classes, so the ship that feels least crowded is what we prefer.

Thanks for reading and any opinions greatly appreciated.

  11. If this promotion does happen this year, will it be possible to pay for gratuities, beverage package and or excursions prior to the cruise?

I would love to get the deal to purchase the cruise in full and have the gift cards for all the extras.

We are planning our 20 year anniversary cruise in Feb 2017 and this will be 2-3 months past the expiration date. I see the gift cards state must be used onboard? But, I don't want to take the chance and wait til the Black Friday 2016 to purchase.

  12. We stayed at Country Inn and Suites last week pre-cruise; $124per night Expedia rate. ($150 with taxes).

Shuttle was quick and efficient in AM for $5pp, left at 10:30.

    Free breakfast that was good.

Rooms were clean, but dated...worked for us since we had late arrival and only needed a clean place to sleep.

Outdoor Pool and patio looked nice and clean.

Note: not much within walking distance except gas station and a fast food restaurant and a beach items type store.

  13. The cruise ship excursion was amazing. We just returned yesterday from the 4day Enchantment. We were in Nassau for 2 days due to missed port of call in Coco Cay.

We booked through the cruiseline the morning of ( did not want to book ahead of time, due to varying weather in Feb.). Met directly outside the ship at 10am and took the ferry directly to BlueLagoon Island. The ferry ride over was beautiful. So many sites to see. It took somewhere around 45 minutes but it was so worth the trip. The ferry offers beverages to purchase for the ride over.

The Lagoon was perfect for us. The day we went it was very, very windy in Nassau, but you wouldn't know it once you made it to the Lagoon. It was sheltered from the wind. The sun was bright and the water was beautiful. Swimming in the Lagoon was amazing...the water flowed into the lagoon from the ocean with just a very small current perfect for floating around.

We have done many beach break excursions and The Blue Lagoon Island ranks very high up on our most favorite excursion.

The ferry back made one quick stop to drop off some employees on Paradise Island.

The RC excursion quotes 4 hours, but it can be longer if you take the last ferry back at 4pm. (10am-4pm)

  14. Country Inn &Suites has the continental breakfast that was good (not excellent). Our room was clean and adequate but a bit out dated. We could see the ship from our 3rd floor room in AM. But, the close proximity to the port was great. The staff was fantastic.

The shuttle service was an A+. We reserved the 10:30 shuttle the day before over the phone. We met in the conference area 15 minutes prior to departure. Loaded the shuttle quickly and off by 10:30 exactly. Fun, enjoyable ride to the pier which only took 5 minutes ! We were dropped off directly at the entrance to Terminal 1. Quick and efficient.

GREAT service, would not hesitate to stay again.

  15. My DH and I just returned from our 4day Enchantment today.

We don't buy specialty coffees....WJ coffee works just fine. DH drinks iced teas and they too are FREE in WJ. The OJ out of the fountains in WJ is doable for breakfast . The water out of the tap and in all the fountain machines is filtered and just as good as bottled, so just bring along your own Tervis mug and refill...no H2O needed.

We are beer and wine drinkers. No frozen drinks for us. So that keeps the tabs down a bit.

We brought on the allowed (2) bottles of wine = (8) glasses.

We purchased the beer cooler bag the first day. (5) beers for $36.30 ($30 + tip). Every refill thereafter is $23.00 ($20 + tip) You can mix-and-match whatever bottled beer you like.

    ( Reg.price = 5 coronos @ $5.75 ea. including tip = $28.75 )

We had a total of (2) coolers on Day 1 and 3 coolers on Day 4. = 5 coolers

= $128.30 They will keep adding ice to the bag too.

    We missed CoCoCay.

We were in port for two days in Nassau, so we only purchased 2 drinks each before dinner. So if you have a long day in Nassau, you may not reach your 6-7 drink quoto for the day.

So, with several beers by the pool on sea days and a few cocktails before dinner we managed to have a tab of just under $200 for the two of us.

So to us the beverage package is not worth it. But to others it may be a good idea.

  16. #1: I start hanging the possible outfit "contenders" on the "cruise side" of the closet weeks to months in advance.

#2: About 3 weeks out I will start laying outfits together on the bed to see what I need and what can be eliminated.

#3: About 2 weeks out, I try each outfit on with shoes and accessories to make the final decision. I then, do a trial run of packing to make sure it all fits in the carry-on. Unpack and lay the outfits aside or hang up.

#4: Then, FINALLY 3-4 days out from cruise, the last step of ironing and packing into suitcase

It builds up the excitement to go in steps. Friends and family think I may be a bit crazy, but its FUN !!

    Happy Packing !!

PS: the toiletry bag is always packed, for that "spur of the moment" trip, so those must have items are not forgotten. Just add to it as needed during the planning.

  17. Last year we were docked in Nassau until 11:59 as well. We too were undecided what to do. We ended up staying on the Enchantment and headed up to the Viking Crown Lounge after dinner. What a spectacular view of the city of Nassau from up there. My DH and I sat there for hours sipping wine and truly enjoying the sights. We switched seats a few times to get a view of Atlantis and all the lights, then moved to the other side of VCL to watch the people leaving Senor Frogs and staggering down the street. Enjoyable evening. Can't wait to do the same in 2 weeks :)
