  1. We leave Thursday on the Sun for Alaska. We booked inside. With gratuities and mid range insurance it was just under $2800. We were given the opp to place upgrade bids for balcony or Club Balcony Suite. I think I bid at minimum or just above. Got the email this morning that we were upgraded to the Club Balcony Suite for an additional $300 pp. Having a balcony for Alaska will be sweet.
  2. I just had a conversation about this with our Personal Cruise Consultant yesterday. We are way past final payment and under 40 days to sailing. I was asking about upgrading and adjusting perks. She told us no problem with making changes although we did not make any at this time. Reach out and ask. We are not big alcohol drinkers either but if the Free at Sea included specially coffee, that might make the difference. I know there has been different experiences but the official line was they are not included with the perk.
  3. As the original poster, you are welcome with your questions and dialogue. If we are going to limit this to NCL, then by the OP, we are also limiting the thread to those who have actually experienced this and this would be looking like a very short thread.
  4. There have been a number of posts about issues with NCL booked flights and statements about what NCL will do if you miss the sailing. Has anyone actually missed the sailing because of NCL booked flights and what did NCL do?
  5. We attended two of these before they stopped so I will answer the question about what they were. There are a couple restaurants in our area that offer these, a table for 2-4 in the kitchen, multiple courses, wine and visits by the chef and pricey. NCL played off this. Both times it was a special event in a separate room with 10-12 participants. Multiple high level courses paired with drinks. A lot of wait staff and visits by kitchen staff. Premium price of course.
  6. Realize there are a very limited number of cruise related jokes. One involves the commode and two the shower. Every comedian, every show.
  7. We have connected with several PCCs over the years. Our current PCC has been very helpful with questions about cruises and Cruise Next expiration dates. I do go through the entire booking process online but stop before paying. Why not give the PCC credit for the booking? I take the info and email our PCC and she calls me to confirm and book. In the past it has been very helpful to have that personal connection when upgrading or even changing cruises after booking. She also will ask if we are celebrating anything and sometimes gift us with strawberries or even a specialty dining voucher.
