Hi we in Cabo early January and we where on a sea going yacht. We saw whales. The captian actively looked for them. I went down stairs to the bath room and a whale breached really close to the boat I could see the tail out of the bedroom window. No one upstairs saw it. I get sea sick and I donot remeber having any trouble. But the sea can change from Hour to hour. Also depending if there is a storm brewing. We enjoyed the excurrsion. I also remember we were late back to the dock and were on the last tender back to the ship. It was a short time in Cabo.  I do remember people complining they were sea sick on the ship( Island Princess) and the sea was like glass. Not rough at all . We did this pre covid so things may have changed. Maybe try asking on a current roll call for the same cruise to see if anyone is planning  to do the excurrsion and can post there experiences with the excurrsion. If you decide to go hopefully the seas are calm and you see lots of whales.

The reason you can not pre oder water is that water from the ship is not allowed in New zeland due to bio security rules.  The first port in New Zeland they check your bags before you are allowed to leave the ship. This happened pre covid  so not sure if it still what happens. We just got water once we where in New Zealand.

Both things I am going to recommend where done prior to covid so things may have changed. 

My husband and I both went deep sea fishing in Grand Turk for barricoda which we each where able to land and have our pictures taken with the fish. Also kind of neat to see th Ruby princess over the top of the trees. 

At Princess cays we went surf fishing it was fun as well. 

Both were booked through Princess not sure if either is still offered. Both were a chance to do some fishing  and have fun at the same time.

Hi have never sailed in a mini suite. But have had an aft balcony. The views are fantastic. The shower is small but manageable.  With a mini suite you have to step into  a bath tube which I would not want to do in rough seas and the tubs are quite tall. Not sure if there are grab bars to hold onto getting in and out. How much time do you spend in the shower. The mini suites are on the side of the ship. With an aft room you get to see shore and ocean at the same time. My vote is for aft for the sceneary  and for wild life site tings. Have a wonderful cruise. 

To use a Princess transfer that gets you to the airport for a late flight you need to pick a transfer that has a princess  tour  that drops you at the airport. Your luggage will go on the bus with you. You need to collect your luggage in the terminal at the end of the cruise  and take it with  you to the bus  and it will be underneath  the bus. 

The listing of the transfers with tours should be listed in the shore excurrsion  on the last day of the cruise. This is where they were found pre covid. Hope this helps clear up some of the mystery  of the transfer to the airport.

Pre covid we did a Princess excussion to Rome we were on our way to Rome a little after 7am. Also there are Princess excurssion that are about 10.5 hours long so they need to get people on there way for those. Check with your tour operator to make sure they will wait if you are late leaving the ship.

Just wondering if they are going to merge the 2 cruise lines into one.

 Wondering if they are trying to get people who where not happy with there last princess cruise to try them instead to try to and keep the money under the carnival bnner.

Hi have only cruised Princess. And found our last cruise before covid hit in Newzeland and  the food just wasn't that good.  Ate only in the dining room and the odd breakfast and lunch in the buffet.

We have stayed mainly in balcony  cabins and once I a suite which  was fantastic. But not in our budget to do all of the time. 

We like to visit different ports and like to do all day excurssions. 

How is Oceania  different than Princess. What drinks are included if you donot get the beverage package.

Have read over the web site and am having trouble getting a feel for what it is like on ship. 

Also are there formal nights and what is the dress code for every day.

Hi are you sure the money you paid was put on your March3rd craise and not this new one that just appeared on your account.

I would still check your credit card used to pay for the March 3 cruise  to make sure it is  not been compromised. It would be awful to be away and find out your card has been compromised.

Hi this sounds like a scam maybe call your credit card company that you have last used for a Princess cruise. It may be still on file and they are charging the deposit to this account. And check and  put a fraud alter on your account.

If a cruise is not paid for it will automatically cancel but you could loose a deposit that you did not authorize being put through your credit card  account.

Hope you get this solved without alot of problems.

Hi we did a private car and guide in St Petersburg and it was fabulous. Pre covid. When we did this I remember  giving a form to the shore excurrsions desk with a list of places we wanted to go. We had to pay entrance fees and we used the coat check at the Hermitage and at another museum we visited. Also we paid for lunch for the guide. We meet our  guide  inside the cruise terminal after Russian imgration.  At the end of the day we were dropped off outside the cruise terminal and tipped the guide. And then went through Russian imagination again to re board the ship.  I hope this helps I know it is a different port but I am sure the way it is done is the same. Hope you have a fantastic day in both places we never got to go to either due to unrest in Turkey. We got to see Kotor which was an awesome  sail in and out. Enjoy your cruise.

Ps. We had local currency with us to pay the entrance fees and for the tip for the guide.

There were foot stools on the Majestic Princess in a D4 pre covid so I assume a new ship would be the same.

Maybe check the airline web site you are flying into Australia  with. Alsocheck the Australia  gov web site to make sure you have all your documents  that are needed to enter Australia.  

Hi I did this on a cruise precovid I had the amount of the foreign currency  currency that i cashed credited  to my on board account I kew we would never use it again and it helped to lower our bill at the end of the cruise. Not sure how bad the the exchange was as it was converted to Australian dollars and I had bought with Canadian  dollars.

Hi did this cruise Jan 2020.On the majestic Princess out of Sydney. The problem we had was the smoke from the wild fires that were  burning at the time. The weather was fantastic. I donot remember it raining at all.

We did the New Zealand  cruise pror to the South  pacific and had really rough seas coming out of Milford sound. And we did the cruise to Tasmania we had rough seas on the way back to Sydney  due to a bad storm and had to leave Hobart early due that to make it back in time.

The only thing that happened to me was I fell asleep on our balcony in the sad and woke up in the sun with a very bad sun burn on my arms. The sun is stronger. I am. from Canada. So make sure to wear sun screen. 

I would book for January as the weather was good. Hope you have fun planning and have a fabulous cruise.

Hi have been in B 735 on the Regal princess. It is a fantastic  suite  with great views.and  balcony. 

Order afternoon tea it is a treat. 

Make sure to visit the concerge lounge on deck 14. There is coffee and food during the day.

It is hard going back to a regular cabin after being in a suite.  

Also be sure to take advantage of the suite breakfast in the specialty restaurant.  Also have lunch and supper in the club class dinning  room. Lunch is only on sea days.

Enjoy every minute  of your trip in your suite. If you were like me you were super  excited.  

For back to back in Australia depending where you are going.

If going to some place within Australia then you can just get back on ship with your intransit card. If going some place like the South Pacfic then you need to go through immigration and security.  Make sure you have your pasport with you. You also can bring on wine.

This is what happened pre covid in 2020.

Hi just make sure you take the card from princess that you are in transit so you can get back on the ship. 

Also it takes about an hour to get to Rome. Also plan to be back at least an hour prior to sailing. Traffic can be bad .Enjoy your day in Rome.

Just order room service from the menu for breakfast that is in your suite.  Breakfast is nice they bring a table cloth for the coffee table and set up the breakfast plates on the coffee table. That way you are ready to get off the ship when you want. 

We did this in the Baltics when we had an early tour prior to covid.

Thanks for posting this information. Just a thought maybe keep a watch on your credit card for any unusual charges.And maybe give your credit company a call. There are so many scams out there lately.

We did this trip in 2020 and the air fare you are seeing is accurate. We paid for first class 15,000 cdn for  The air fare for first class through Princess was 7,500 per person cdn each way.  Not sure why this was the case had used Princess for air fare prior and there was usually very  little difference. The price for first class air only goes up closer to the time you fly. I am so glad we flew first class as it was a an 18 hr flight. With a 16 hr time difference.  You arrive in Sydney still a little jet lagged but not that bad. Was wonderful to be able to sleep or to just sit up in a comfortable position. Also you could request a meal when you wanted  it. Also you  need  a visa for Australia and New Zealand.  Enjoy the cruise.

Hi have not on the Sky but have on the Majestic. They are fantastic like a Carib deck on a grand class ship.  They are bigger than the standard Royal class balcony.  Not sure if they are available  due to being used for isolation cabins. From what I have been reading on here.

You only have a limited time to file a dispute. I would call the credit card company and get a dispute going right away. You donot want to be paying for someoneleses cruise.

Hi I have bought jewlery on board before it became effy. Could it be Kay .I cannot remember the name of the other jewlery I have bought. But I was jewlery brand that was sold in the Us and in the Caribbean.  I remember seeing bill boards for the jewlery brand and is wasn't diamonds international. It was on the Caribbean island that has the casino close to the port. 

Could you try calling princess to see if they remember what brands they carried. Also try facebook the on princess page.
