  1. Hi I am glad you were  able to find a cruise to to a b2b. We did this with a Balitic cruise and it worked out really well. It is a really  port intensive cruise and there is so much to see. We also had an issue with weather for Berlin we could not dock due to fog so our all day excurssion got canceled so we just changed the excursion for the next cruise. You also have time to settle into the rythum of the ship. This also inspired me to look to see if I could do something to see New Zealand and Tasmania and he south Pacific. I was able to find 3 cruise that hit all of these areas. We have the same cabin for all 3 for 2020. It will make the long 23 hr flight worth while. When others are packing up to leave the ship you know you get to stay on.

I hope you have a fabulous  time and the weather gods are kind and the seas calm. Hopefully this will be one of many b2b you sail.

  2. Hi I was wondering if there are any water colour  painting classes or other art and craft classes on sea days. Will be on the Majestic Princess next January  and February on cruises from Sydney. Am trying to figure what to bring to work on for the 11 sea days that I will have on 3 cruises.

Would it be possible if some one has sea day patters would be appreciated. Also what time was late dining.

    Thanks for any information.

  3. Hi we did a Baltic cruise we did B2b cruises.in the month of May. I figured the weather would be cool. So I took only cool weather clothes and wool socks and water proof shoes. The weather did a 180 it was really warm the temps were like July. My husband was wearing short sleeve shirts. The early morning were cool but would warm up to summer temperatures. I would take layers and a pair of sandals. You will do a lot of walking especially St Peterburg . We averaged about 11 km per day with the different Places.

The day we were to go to  dock in Warnemude at about 6  am we were usable to dock until 11 am because they closed the port  due to fog. A lot of shore excursions got canceled..

If your cruise  goes to Nysham try and get up early for the sail in at sun rise it is spectacular. The sail out is interesting as well.  Also the sail into St Peterburg  is really interesting as well with the old forts and churches.

The days will lengthen each day and it does not get dark for long at night. You will have beautiful sun rises.

    Have a great cruise.

  4. I think the best to just call Princess and try to get your PCC changed. Maybe ask to have Princess take over the booking from the PCC.

I have been pestered by the same PCC and I have called Princess multiple times to get the PCC to stop contacting me to no avail.  The first time was when I had a cruise booked direct with Princess not with a PCC. The PCC started sending me information by email about my upcoming cruise. It was unsettling and  I called Princess about it. The next time it started  with the same PCC contacting me by email daily was shortly after I purchased a future cruise credit called Princess again. Nothing stooped the daily emails.I even emailed  the PCC to remove me from the email list. The only time it stoped was when I booked a cruise with my future cruise credit .  Then the emails stoped

I hope you are able to get some help and that it does not ruin your enjoyment of your cruise.

  5. Hi if you go to Air Canada web site there is information there there is a page with information Air Canada Responds to Transport Canada’s Closure of Canadian Airspace to the Boeing 737 MAX Aircraft. I found it on the Travel New and Updates on the home page for Air Canada. Hope this helps It must be really frustrating to deal with the good thing you have some time to get it sorted. I know you are like me want it sorted Now not later. Please let us know how it all works out.

  6. Hi just checked for the beverage pkg for a New Zealand cruise in 2020 and it is saying the price per day Canadian is $83.19 per day and you can get drinks up to $16.00 Aud. So that works out to aprox $88.01 Aud. Most ships sailing from Australia the on board currency is Aud.

  7. Yes I forgot about that our second cruise as part of the back to back the upsell was a higher price but the cruise price was different on both cruises. So I figured that was the reason. I was glad that we were able to have the same cabin for both sailings. We  had plans for the turn around day so if we had to change cabins that would have made caused us to change our plans.

Also if you have Princess insurance it goes up as well to reflect the new fare you are paying.

I know some people say the upsell was not a good deal. We though our upsell was a fair price and the person we dealt with was friendly and helpful.

We booked directly with Princess and the upsell came via an email directly from Princess. I called Princess back on the number provided in the email immediately. The hard part was waiting for Princess to call back. When Princess called back It did not say Princess on the call display  just a number.  The email came about 3weeks from sailing.  The timing may vary . Also if you go to a different cabin class your tips will increase to the new class like balcony to mini suite or mini suite to full suite.

    • Thanks 1
  8. Yes we have. We had to call to and leave a message.Princess calls back and you say yes you accept the upsell .For the first cruise. Our 2 cruises had 2 different booking numbers, While on the phone with Princess I asked if the upsell was available for the second cruise. Princess had to call me back and say we could get it. We accepted and were lucky to be able to keep the same  cabin for both cruises. The time line was approximately 3 weeks before sailing .

  9. We did a Baltic cruise last May and stayed a the the Marriott and they have a shuttle bus that you can purchase tickets for from the hotel. The cost is just put on your room bill. Do not remember the cost. The shuttle drops you off at the cruise port  where you check in.

Also Tivoil Gardens is not far from the hotel. Hope you have a great cruise.

  10. Hi I have one thing to say if you are going to the Acropolis make sure you have shoes that an non slip as the marble is slicker than black ice at -10 below. We used to like in Edmonton.I almost slipped a couple of times if not for my walking stick. Also have never had this happen before but i got very dizzy part way up on the stairs while watching the guards descend. and had to hold onto husband so i would not fall. We did a ship tour( ATH 105) here and had lots of time so there is  need to rush. Just be careful on the marble steps and the marble stone at the top.  You have a fabulous itinerary. The sail in and sail out of Kotor is not to be missed especially the sail in with the sun rising the mist burning off.

  11. Have only left from this pier it is just a parking lot and they put up white tents for checkin and luggage collection. I would arrange transporting for getting you to your destination. It is about a 10 minute taxi ride to berth 92. I would not want to walk it with luggage. It is a very busy street.

Why not give Princess a call and see if they can give you any information.

  12. Hi have done this tour a couple of years ago. the order we seen the sights was reversed. The tour gives you a good over view of the high lights of Rome. The day is long but so worth it. You sound like you should do just fine on the tour. If someone has difficulty walking this would not be the tour for them. The walk was fairly flat with some slight incline and cobble stone streets. I would recommend wearing a good a pair of waling shoes.   When we did the tour we started out at the Colosseum then back on the bus and dropped off to see the Trevi fountain with a little time for shopping then we walked to the  Hotel Savoy for lunch. Then it was off to the Vatican which is fantastic. then it was time to board the bus back to the ship. The tour is a long day as you start about 7am and are back to the ship about 5 pm. When you are walking it is at easy pace. The thing I was most surprised about is the toilets do not have toilet sets at the hotel and at the Colosseum. I also remember there being a lot of kittens at the Colosseum. This tour used head sets which is great as you can hear the guide while you are looking at the different things to see. And taking photos. We were there mid September and the weather was warm but not hot.  Hope this helps and you have a fantastic day in Rome. We did put a coin in the Trevi fountain and did go back to  Rome again this time we did ROM 170 which we really enjoyed. If you have any question I will try and answer them.

  13. Hi am doing a b2 to b2 to b2 from Sydney Au do they have to zero out the ship like they do when you cruise in the United States. Or can you just stay on ship  like in Europe or do what you want on turn around days when one cruise ends and another one starts.

Also am trying to do an excursion to the Blue Mountians.

Any information would be great. Have not been down under before.

  14. The last cruise we took we got an email for a paid upgrade to a min suite. Did not do anything as we were happy where we were with cabin location. Got a second email offering a  paid upgrade to a suite which we responded to and decided to take Princess up on there offer. So there is hope. The second email was about 2 to 3 weeks from the sail date.

Hopefully you can connect with Princess and get the upgrade.

  15. Hi i am looking for travel books that are written with cruising as the main mode of transportation. like the Rick Steve's books for Europe or the Ann Vi-pond  books for a variety of places. Is there any books for New Zealand, Fiji, and Tasmania.

Want to try to determine what there is to do in the different ports. I also have time not sailing until Jan 2020 so have lots of time to do research. Also  I live in Canada so that may make a difference.

    Thanks for any help.

  16. We did this tour a long time ago but the description has not changed. The bus ride into Paris you see some of Paris. You have a guide with you on the buss and in the Louvre you have a museum guide. When we did the tour the bus parks under the Louvre and you enter from there. The museum guide stayed with us the entire time. I think the tour guide die as well. The only free time we had was time to shop in the gift shop and use the rest room, Then it was off to lunch at Eiffel tour. After lunch we were able to take pictures from the observation deck. The lunch menu was a set menu. After lunch and leaving the Eiffel Tower we went some place else and did a bit of site seeing and then were on the bus back to port, Hope this helps.

  17. Was on the Regal for 21 days in May and used the free laundry as we were in a suite. I only sent out socks and underwear. I also had my husband jacket dry cleaned and they did a better job than at the cleans on land. I did use the self serve laundry as well. Was pleased with both. The only thing that happened was we ended up with an extra sock that was not ours so gave it to to our cabin Stewart to return to the laundry and hopefully the owner.

Look forward to the day I will be able to use the elite perk .

  18. We first sailed in an ocean view cabin. The next cruise we went with a balcony. Which we loved. And have sailed in for 10 cruises. This last 2 cruises we accepted an upsell to a suite which was wonderful really enjoyed it with all the perks that come with it. Now i am not sure how we will go back to a balcony. It may mean having to not cruise for awhile till we save so we can afford to go in a suite or hope of another up sell to a suite

  19. Just did the sail in on May 30th and the sail in started around 3.30 to 4 am. The sun was just starting to come up as at this time of year it does not get really dark for long. It was an amazing sight to see. We were being followed by another ship. At times you have to got fairly slow. You also see it on the way out as well.
