  1. Hi I think the first formal night will be May3 because of people ending and starting there cruise in Berlin. The second formal night will be Helsinki May 7th because of people getting on and off in St pertersburg.

    Have a great cruise.

  2. We did this tour in when we were in the Med. It was a good tour. It was not rushed we had plenty of time at the museum where the David is. We also got to see the square where it was originally. At the Uffizi was a little rushed but it was not crowed because we were there early in the morning. The Uffizi was fantastic. The room i remember the most is the room with the mother of pearl all over the ceiling. Also the corridors have panting on the ceiling. I am so glad that we did the tour we got to see alot. It was nice to sit down for lunch to have a rest. There is alot of walking. You walk to the different places you only get on the bus to get to Florence and you donot get back on the buss till you are heading back to the ship. I hope this helps. Have fun planning your trip.

  3. Can i ask if you are able to get bottles of rum and cans of coke from room service. and how much they are if it is not too much trouble.

Thanks have a wonderful cruise will be on the Regal in 108 days but who counting. Can check then to see if the pools are heated.

  4. I am from Canada and have only used premium economy on Air Canada Rouge. It was fantastic it was more room nice meal with drinks. We flew from Toronto to Barcelona and Barcelona to Toronto. In May will be flying to Copenhagen there and back premium economy on Air Canada. This plane has thee classes of seats business, premium economy, and economy. Will never fly economy class again the seats are just too small with no leg room and room for the rest of the body as well. you feel like a sardine. There is a great site seat guru where you can get reviews of the different airlines and the seats that are offered and comments by other travelers which may help with booking your flights. Hope this helps and you find the help you need to make a decision. And that you gave a great trip.

  5. I am Canadian and we have used Manulife for travel insurance. It is best to use the company that you use if you have extra health insurance with because there is a cap with the private insurance if you use a different company, which us extra from provincial health insurance. Also you cannot get insurance more than 4 months from your trip. We just found this out we were trying to get insurance for a trip in May of 2018. Manulife was able to give us a quote and we used them in june of 2017 and for the trip in 2018 it will cost double for the same length of trip. Hope this will helps.

  6. Hi am going on the Regal Princes for a Baltic cruise and have been looking at he shore excursions was wonder if any one has done this tour it looks fascinating. I realize it is a long day. Was wonder if anyone has done this tour and can tell me what the train was like and how was the breakfast and the super that was served. Or any other details that would help with trying to decide to do the tour or not. Will have 4 days in St Petersburg so will have time to see most of the hghlights. Thanks

  7. Thanks for explaining what the 3 cakes were made of.

I am getting excited about going to Moscow for the day when we go on a Baltic cruise next May. I realize it will be a long day but i think it will be a day filled with lots of different places.

Thanks again for taking the time to explain the tour and the food.So it wont seen so strange.:):)

  8. Hi you need to take princess tour ROM150 to see they Trevi fountian. The fountian is in a small square that you have to walk to there. We did the ROM 150 tour a couple of years ago and it was worth the money. Last summer we were back in Rome and did ROM 170 and it was a fantastic day.

  9. I would say any destination other than Alaska tends to be a bit less formal. We do formal nights and most people abide by the rules that Princess sets. Despite what is talked about here. We do late traditional dining so that also may have an impact on how people dress. The only cruise where there were people not dressed formal and dinning in the dining room was Alaska and some people dressed casual all the time even on non formal nights. The cruises that we have done that have the most formally dressed are cruises out of Southampton were people can drive to port and luggage weight is not an issue.

You will not feel out of place if you dress formal. As said most wear formal wear on formal nights. Just go and have a great cruise and bring home wonderful memories.

  10. There is another side to this i know for a fact that AD dinners are accommodated in the TD.We had late seating on 2 different cruises and on one cruise there was a lineup to get into the TD dinning room after the late seating had started. I had to walk by these people and just about set upon because i was able to just walk right in. I had gone to get my husband a coffee from the IC. The second time was last year we where by a table for 2 and it was not being used so someone was seated there after 9pm. So should we who TD complain about the people from AD using our dining room I think not why not just pack some patience and remember that we have gone away to relax.

  11. Make sure to check that there are no fees for canceling the cruise with this TA. I got caught with paying a 100.00 for canceling a cruise thatwas booked years ago when they used to run the 1 day sale of Princess cruises in June. I was not informed that there was a charge for canceling.

  12. Hi am considering booking a mini suite for the first time on the Royal or the Regal Princess. Are there any that people would suggest to avoid due to where they are located on ship.

I know that the front of the ship are highly sought after but they would be no good for me as I get sea sick being too close to the front of the ship. Found this out the hard way on our first cruise in a forward ocean view cabin with rough seas. And the bed being under the window.

Has anyone used the bath tub for a bath. How long is the bath tube. Do you find it difficult to step out of if just having a shower. Is there a grab bar to hold onto when getting out if the ocean is rough.

    Thanks for any insight.:)

  13. The travel guides i like and have used are by Anne Vipond. With the book you get a large map you can pull out and place an your cabin wall with magnets and can see where you have been and where you are going.

I also use Rick Steves books as well.:)

  14. Hi we took a Princess transfer to the airport last September and it was $32.40 Canadian each. When we paid for the transfer the in Canadian dollar which was worth .70 cents american at that time. We booked it on the cruise presonalzer and paid for it a final payment. The meeting time was 7 am for terminal 1. We were off right on time and on our way to the airport no later than 7:20 am and it took about a half hour to get to the airport. then we waited on the bus for the luggage to be unloaded into the terminal and then we collected our luggage and lined up at the checkin at the airport for the airline counter to open. Checked in then went through security and passport check and onto the departure gate. With time to pickup a snack along the way for our noon flight. Using the transfer was easy and we were at the airport in lots of time so there was no worries about missing the flight home.

Hope this helps. Have a great cruise on a fantastic ship.
