  1. I always make a "packing"list. So often in the past after packing I would think 'did I put this or that in and would end up emptying the case to check. So now I make my list, add to it as I think of things then cross things off the list as they are packed.

Don't have to think to much this way or worry about forgetting important things.

  2. Sailing on Arcadia Med cruise for 17 nights, not many consecutive days at sea, wondering if there will be art classes on sea days. Don't want to pack paints etc if there are no classes. I would appreciate any info or how I can find out. After all if I don't need to carry art materials I can fit in an extra dress or pair of shoes in my case. :p

  3. Each if us have our own personal views, preferences and are quite entitled to voice them. However it does get a bit boring to view so many gripes about quite minor things. The sharing of useful information should be uppermost on this forum unless of course there are serious and major issues. ?

I would say please consider how lucky we all are to have the financial means and physical ability to enjoy what cruising offers - the list is endless and varied. There are many who would so love to have a holiday let alone a cruise.

I appreciate so much every day of good health (having had some health worries in the past) I also value the fact that we can afford to cruise. (Endured some hard financial times years ago). So life is too short to waste time and thoughts with so much negativity which can really rub off on others and make you miserable.

Lots of smileys to share with all us lucky cruisers

    :):);):p

  4. Arcadia is our favourite ship, not too big, friendly and happy atmosphere.

Getting a bit fed up with remarks about "old" people and people in wheelchairs. Do some folk want to see discriminating upper age ,limits and abilities enforced on cruises.

Age really is just a number I know two gents in our locality one is 75 the other 82. They both cycle everyday up to 45 miles. The 75 year old runs daily 15 to 20 miles, swims etc. Would they be considered "old".

How lovely it is to see people of all ages and abilities enjoying the same pleasures that the rest of us can.

  6. Spoke to TA re flights it costs £179.50 per person to upgrade to premium plus an additional £15 to select seats. Don't know if its Dreamliner.

They said only 13 premium seats left. Not sure what to do, hubby thinks no too much money but ooooo I fancy more room. Decisions decisions.

  7. Thanks all for your replies. Have checked cruise personaliser and found flight info. Its a Thomson flight. Does any one know if this is the Dreamliner aircraft.

Also is it worth the extra money to upgrade to premium either on standard or dreamliner air craft. How much more will it cost to reserve seats in addition.

    Lots of questions ???

  9. Sailing to Caribbean 31st Oct. Just wondering if anyone has info re which airline will be flying us back to Birmingham?

Would like to enquire about the cost of flight upgrades have spoken to customer services with TA but told no info as yet.

    Cheers

  10. I agree the whole issue is about reducing the price of a cruise and calling it getaway to avoid keeping the their so called price promise.

I wonder did p and o ever reduce their vantage fare and did anyone ever benefit from their price promise????

  11. P and O pricing was featured on this tv programme this morning. A couple had booked a cruise on Vantage fare and later the same cruise was advertised at a cheaper price still sold as Vantage fare.

They thought P and O would honour their price promise but oh no . P and O said they were booked in a different grade of cabin so the price promise doesn't apply. Since the programme contacted p and o they have said they will contact the couple directly ???

They also said they have reviewed the pricing structure as a result of feedback from customers, but as we know only the names of fares has changed.
