If you book a GTY or Sail Away rate you do not get the FAS options nor do you get to select your cabin. It has been that way at least since 2010 whne we started sailing.
when booking from Europe you can get FAS options on the Sail Away and the GTY. Hence, I can't figure out the difference!

Slightly different question, but 1 platinum travelling solo - I get a voucher for 2 still right? i.e not dining on my own, I can bring another passenger from another cabin who is not plat?

Thanks. Interesting, their price on website now is €149 which is $165 approx.!

Are you getting cab to Civitavecchia?

Are you sure the Sail Away shows the FULL set of Free at Sea options? It normally would only show the "Free" excursions portion.
Yes, definitely, all 4 of them there for the normal upgrade price. (booking from Ireland, not sure if booking from Europe makes a difference). I went for the guarantee rather than sail away for the extra €20, but not sure if it makes a difference....

Difference between Sail Away Inside and Inside Guarantee? I know in the past there may have been a difference in relation to the Free at Sea perks, but both showing as full Free at Sea available. Small price difference.
Thanks.

Free at Sea conditions state "Singles paying 200% of voyage fare qualify" - but Free at Sea option there purchasing as a solo traveller. Can anyone confirm that there is no issue here if the solo cabin price is not 200% (only about 120%)? Thanks.

Yes, cruise next, sorry. Thanks both.

Anyone confirm the current position on using 2 x FCC's and the 6 month in advance requirement - seems to chop and change a bit?

Anyone having issues? Getting "we have your info but can't bring up your account right now"...
Can log into app alright, but can't find luggage tags there (checked in but still have health questions to answer in couple of weeks)
Any advice?

Thank you both for those ideas!

We arrive LA for 3 nights before cruise from San Pedro. We have a hotel booked in Santa Monica, but not clear on best way to transport to the cruise? Appreciate thoughts. Or whether we should just go to San Pedro from LAX and stay there for 3 nights, but I think that we would miss out a lot, not having been to LA before.
thanks.!

Logged in - can't see Future Cruise Credits on 'my account' - just my latitude points. Anyone else with this problem? I rang NCL and they say they can see them on my account, just not displaying on 'my account'.
Thanks.

Question on Pireaus Port for welcome pickups - they have an option of "Pireaus Port - cruises and ferries" which gives a price of €31 to my hotel in Athens, but also "Pireaus Port Akti Miaouli 10" for €26 which, according to google maps appears to be nearer Terminal A. Anyone know which one is the valid one?

thanks LaCal, will ring them!

You have to remove your glasses for passport photos as well. And, yes, this has to do with facial recognition.
Not in Ireland anyway, which covers EU requirements. And biometric. Perhaps that is it then, the difference between EU and US in terms of these rules.
"
- Do wear your glasses (if you normally wear them) but make sure there's no reflection on the lenses and the frames don't obscure your eyes
- Don't wear sunglasses or glasses with tinted lenses, unless they're prescription"

Yes, I've removed glasses then before as well. It was easy peasy to do. Enjoy your cruise.
Yes, it's not that it is difficult. I was debating the reasons. Easy to do though. When you removed glasses before was it NCL security staff asking you to do so, and since the new rule for security photo without glasses? It would strike me as slowing things down if they had to ask all people with glasses to "de-glass" first when going on and off the ship - and if they don't, then they aren't (arguably) doing as good of a visual check, perhaps!

I've worn prescription glasses for years. I've had to take them off at different times for different photos. It doesn't really bother me. Takes seconds to do so I'm ok with it at this point. I will be submitting a photo next week for my next cruise.
Sure. agreed. Not an issue, was just curious. As a security photo, it struck me that without glasses in the photo you can look quite different, so I thought it would have required security personnel to ask you to take your glasses off when embarking/disembarking to make sure it was you vs. the photo !

Have 2 'free at sea' meals and 2 'Platinum' - can't book Cagney's or La Cucina twice - saying "conflict on that date" - anyone know if this is an ongoing problem or do you have to ring guest services?
Speaking of which - for the 2 free at sea - can you do 2 Cagney's or only 1?
-
Was it always a requirement to take your glasses off (prescription) for the security photo - I don't recall this before. Seems over the top if that's what you are going to be wearing all the time, not like sun glasses.

Sorry if already asked, but with the 2 free meals, can you visit the same restaurant twice e.g. Cagneys?
-
i see a few litres of water now included in the beverage package (used not be? don't recall it anyway!)
"Guarantee Cabin"??

As I said in previous post, if booking from Europe the Sail Away can get FAS - just so people know there seems to be a difference.
