  1. I did this this twice out of New Orleans, that's how much I loved it. Only difference we went to Montego Bay

In Ochos I think you can do a day at Sunset Beach it was $65 and it was unlimited food and drinks

Cozumel we drove around the island stopping at many stops and shops, ending the tour at a tequila factory taking different shots of tequila. I got a very good tan and got to swim in different parts of the ocean.

Cayman Island we went the sandbar and swam with the stingrays, that was beautiful being out in the middle of the ocean. After swimming with the stingrays we stopped at another small island on the other side of caymans. There we had some great food and did some water sports and tanning.

That was one of my favorite cruises.

  2. I loved the pride. I sailed her Feb 2015 Nassau and Freeport. I didn't get off the ship in freeport because of the little time that was given. However I would definitely take 7 over 4 any day . I'm taking the Liberty out of Port Canaveral Feb 8. I have never been on the Liberty so that's why I choose that cruise.

The Pride is one of my favorite ships. She was clean, staff was great, no complaints. Well besides cabin being cold the 1st two days due to it being the dead of winter. I also live in NY and anytime I can drive to a port I try to take advantage of it .

  3. We just got married on the carnival pride and couldn't have asked for a better experience

I absolutely love the Pride and decor. I was thinking of her since i can just drive to Baltimore.

  4. 2nd sea day I got a late start this morning, too many martinis the night before at the dance club. I got up showered and headed to breakfast. I had my usual and went to grab a seat, after dinner we went to the lido deck. They were doing sign-ups for the mixologist contest. The sign up was for 12:00pm the contest was 12:30 pm. I put my name in to do it but didn’t get picked. I didn’t stay around to see who won. To be honest this was just a regular day. There’s nothing interesting that happened. We just hung around the ship, went and sat in red frog for a while and listened to the live music. It was still a bit cold so I wasn’t interested in going beyond deck 9. We went to the dance club again and the music was again cool. I was happy they didn’t do a lot of line dancing songs, they would just play the cupid shuffle and keep it moving.

Recap of day……….I don’t understand why when you’re trying to get food , why the workers have to jump in front of you or while you’re getting food; they come up and start cleaning or wiping down the area where someone may have dropped a potato or a little something. They should be mindful of phobias that some people may have and before any big mouth say something, yes I know it’s their jobs but not only does it hold up the line but people don’t always want someone with a dirty dish cloth cleaning up food where they’re trying to get food from.

This sea day was uneventful, we did a lot of ppl watching and we also spent a lot of time in our room in the bed. I don’t always want to name that tune, or guess that tv show. Also I don’t remember carnival bed being the way they are now. They need a better trick with putting the beds together. I kept falling in between the beds and oh please don’t try and do the hanky panky it’s really not that easy.

  5. Few questions.

Did they find out what the delay was of why the pride came into port late with the electrical problems

Were the fun ship stocked by the new vendor and open thru out cruise

If u were cold what did your cabin temp read? I hear everyone say it's at 72 and very hot. U must have got lucky. I'm dreading my cabin temp. 8k extended balcony in 3 weeks

    Thanks

Yes it was very cold in my room on the first two days so that was the 14th and 15th, after that my room was hot and I slept with the Balcony door open every night after that. As we got closer to port coming back my room got cold again, but at that point I didn't care as I was getting off the ship anyway.

I don't think it was an electrical problem, they were telling us it was a weather problem. We had some waves and big winds leaving out, but nothing too major.

The stores were fully stocked, I didn't buy anything but alcohol. My room was reading 45 degrees when it was cold but then after that I never had the temperature checked again.

  6. 1st sea day, we got up and headed to the lido for breakfast. I was impressed with how the lines were. There never seem to be a long line anywhere on the ship. The longest line I ever encountered was at guy’s burger. For breakfast every day I had oatmeal, potatoes, and bacon. I don’t eat powdered eggs, and the guys at the omelet station couldn’t seem to get it right so I didn’t have any eggs the whole trip. The lemonade boy do you have to water that down, it was incredibly sour. Because it was still cold outside we just hung around the ship. We went to Alchemy and the Gabe was great. He made me this pineapple infused vodka martini that was out of this world. I had about 2 every day of the cruise.

We went to the fun shops and got some duty free liquor. 2 Makers Mark for $46 2 Crown Royale for $37 and 1 Grand Marian however you spell it for $34. They had the usual game shows and trivia going on throughout the day. This day was elegant night and I must say more than half of the people in my opinion were not dressed for elegant night. I wore a black dress and black blazer and Ryan wore blue jeans, dress shirt, tie and blazer. There were people with jeans and t-shirts on, men with sandals, women with shorts and a shirt on. Oh well I will always participate plus I love to get dressed to go to dinner.

Pride has switched to the American Menu and I must say that I am not a fan. I had the lobster he had the steak I think. They now offer a Kale salad which is good. I ordered that every night, and when they had the crab cake I would get that as well. I only ate in the dining room 3 out of the 6 nights. After dinner we went to the one and only comedy show that we ever made it to. It was just OK. He made us laugh or chuckle maybe once or twice but hey it was something to do. That night we went to the dance club. The music was good it wasn’t that crowded but it was still good. When we were in the dance club there was a guy in there with his cowboy hat on and he (the entire cruise) had a confederate flag beer holder that he used but it’s a free country right. We stayed in the dance club until about 3am and then called it a night.

This was night number two and we still didn’t have a towel animal * sad face*

Recap of the day……….. I love a small ship, it was always easy to get from one end of the ship to the next in no time. I like the alchemy bar but it’s a little bland. It was never really full and there’s nothing there but their specialty drinks. I feel like they need to offer more. However the space is nice and the chairs are comfy. My day was cool, having a good travel partner makes the day go by fast. I realized I no longer get the fun ship specials when I get on the ship, I actually didn’t drink one the whole cruise.

  7. Hello everyone on Saturday, I returned from a 6 night cruise on the beautiful Pride. I must say that she is a very beautiful ship. It was always very clean (didn't always smell good) and the decor I absolutely love it. I will post pictures in the end.

Along this journey it was myself 32 year old counselor Tiffany and my lovely boyfriend 44 year old History Teacher. Friday we left New York about 7pm. First we had to drop my two daughter off in NJ at my mother’s house. The weather was cold and windy, but there wasn't any snow around. After dropping them off we headed for Washington, DC where my boyfriend sister lives.

The drive was uneventful. I actually drove the whole way from NY to NJ to DC it was about 5 hours. During the drive there was a few snow showers but nothing serious. We arrived in Washington at 1:06 am. We stopped at checkers and got a sandwich (well he did, I don’t eat that late) and headed into the house. His sister was up waiting for us, we said our hellos and went to bed. The next day his sister and I went to The Mansion on O Street. It was a great experience, it’s a Hotel and Museum all in one. It’s three brownstone houses all together; and throughout it there are secret doors, and rooms. Everything in there is for sale. You get to walk around and check out the rooms (if no one is occupying them at the time) there are many rooms with different themes. My favorite was the log cabin room. It was big and spacious. It has a loft type of feel. The bathtub in there was the best! If you’re ever in the DC area you should take a tour there, you won’t be disappointed.

    CRUISE DAY 2-14-2016

We woke up around 7 am after partying at Club Bliss the night before. I checked my email and of course there was an email from carnival stating that there will be a delay due to adverse weather conditions and them getting to the port late. Our arrival time was now 6pm, can’t you see my angry face lol. We stayed in the bed, and we sat around for a while however I was too anxious to sit around so at 12 I suggested we get up and head to Baltimore. We got up showered blah blah blah, said our goodbyes and headed to Baltimore. The ride was really short it was about 35 minutes. Of course me being who I am, I went over to the port. There was a guy standing out there he stopped me and handed me a piece of paper that pretty much read no you can’t come in take this $15 on board credit and come back at 3pm grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

So with the sad face again I left and went to the mall. I stopped at VS to get some sweat pants, and then cvs to grab some last minute things after doing all that it was now 3:00pm and time to start the first part of my vacation. Of course when I got back to the port the line was longggggggggggggggg. I cursed under my breath and sat there. Oddly enough it moved fast and I was paying ($90) and parking in about 30 minutes. The process was easy. It was crowded but it didn’t take long. I went through security. Ryan had an open bottle of rum that they took , he claims he forgot that it was in his bag. I didn’t have anything on me. We stood in line and moved slowly around the ropes. We got our sail in signs and headed right to the ship. It was about a 40 minute process give or take. I saw a lot of confiscated cases of water and bottle of sodas. Dam!

When I first walked on the ship all I could say was WOW what a beautiful ship. It was clean and cold lol. Our room was already ready so we walked up the stairs to deck 4 aft room 4219. The room was an aft balcony and it looked no different than any other room I have had thus far on carnival. We didn’t walk the ship, we just unpacked and poured us a drink (we had brought two bottles to have in our room) and laid back and relax well we thought so. Our room was extremely cold you read me extremely cold. I am not a complainer however it was just way too cold did I say it was cold. I called guest services. They said they would send someone up. They offered us two robs and more blankets. When they came to check the temperature that said yes you’re right it’s cold in here. I was about to doze off after putting on my robe and wrapping in 3 blankets but then I remember MUSTER DRILL.

I was in Muster Station C which was the bottom level dining room. We had to walk outside and go into the dining room through some crew only door that was outside. Whew, I thought they were going to make us stand in the freezing cold. That was the fastest muster drill I think I have ever been too. It seem to be over before it even began. We were both tired so we just went to our ice box and called it a night.

  8. The dream was a very clean ship at all times. It was my first cruise on Carnival where I felt the pain (lol) of long lines in the Lido area was too much for me. Out of the 7 days I only ate twice in the buffet area. The first day I was able to get something from the pasta bar and the buritto bar. The next time was the morining of Grand Cayman, the buffett was crowded but not as much.

Ryan didn't mind standing on line for buffett but the way my patients is set up I just couldn't do it, so to avoid huffing and puffing, and all the other non sense I just said forget it I'll eat in the main dinning room. The brunch is cool if you're into that type of food. However I had awesome table mates everytime I went to brunch.

  9. After our excursion we went to the Duty Free shop to purchase alcohol. Cozumel had great prices on all of their things and we couldn't afford to miss up on that offer. It began to rain we sat under a hut for a minute and than headed back to the ship.

Tonight they were having the all white party. I noticed that all the parties ex: all white, mardi gras, and I forget the other one, was all on port nights. Sunday night embarkation there was no party. Also the first two sea days there were no parties. I am not sure why they wouldn't give the good parties on the sea days. The sea days were boring, it was your usual Bingo, Ice Carving, Mixologist, Hairy Chest Contest. If you seen one you've seen them all. The last time I cruised the mixologist contest was fun because the contestants were myself and my two other friends that I cruised with we really entertained the crowd.

We went to dinner that night, I wasn't feeling to well so I took my food to go. I went to my room and laid down for a while, well a while turned into a long night and me not waking up until about 2 am. At that point I just watched whatever movie that was on the television until I went back to sleep. I was really disapointed that I missed the white party, I wanted to see what it was about and I had the perfect dress for it.

The next morning which was the last sea day, we got up and sat on the Balcony for a while. We ordered room service which was just OK. We got up and walked around the ship for a while and then Ryan wanted to tan because he felt like he wasn't tanned enough. After being in the sun for several hours I went back to the room to take a nap. The ship was quiet and there wasn't much going on. Carnival was still pushing drinks down peoples throat, I wish they were pushing more entertainment. I see as they are building new ships theyre adding things that are great. Like a pool to the serenity area, and more eating options (i love food).

Carnival is great for the price and like with anything else if you do to much of it, you can possibily become tired of it. I don't think I will ever become tired of Carnival I will just pick new ships and cruises that has minimum sea days. 1 sea day is enough for me or two one leaving out and one coming back in.

    Overall the Dream was

Clean, I hardly ever saw any dirt or mess throughout the hallways. Someone had a vomit attack outside of the comedy show but that was cleaned up fast.

There was a smell that would come around here and there on deck 2 .

Embarkation was a breeze out of NOLA I never had to wait in line and I arrived about 11am.

I didn't get my luggage on the first day until about 5pm.

I didn't go to any shows, my room was always clean, the food was always good.

I make the best out of any situation and any vacation. Ryan and I can find fun in anything that we do and in anywhere that we go.

    For any questions please ask.

  10. After driving all around cozumel and getting hot , boy was I exhausted. I was a little disappointed with carnival that on a busy day like this they would decide to have the all white party, and a bunch of other great activities .

I was so exhausted from being in that sun I was not able to do anything . I can't remember if I made it to dinner that night. Cozumel is a great stop and I would recommend it to anyone. The shopping was great , the weather amazing and their tequila is good.

  11. Back when I first booked this cruise I knew I wanted to do something adventurous with Ryan here. I booked this xrail adventure where you drive and then go to the Jade Cave, however they no longer allow people to go inside so I canceled it. When we got off the ship we found some guys outside and booked a tequila tour. We paid $100, we got a stick shift car and drove all the way around cozumel.

It was soooooo fun and hot. If you get sun burned bad please wear a long sleeve or make sure you wear like 200 proof sun block. We stopped at little shops and places , lol this little man offered me pot I laughed at him he said I'm sorry you're not the police are you. No bit you should be careful. At the tequila factory I tasted some of the best tequilla however the price was way out of my range. I did leave a tip though. I saw women on the back of mopeds holding on to their little 9 mth old babies.

It was just beautiful and amazing. I went to MC Donald's and got a fish sandwich I was missing junk food. Our tour guide was nice and I made sure I gave him a nice tip at the end. I got to see a beach full of seaweed and one with beautiful blue water. This was the most fun I ever had in mexico.

  12. After swimming at the sandbar you get back on the little boat and go to this little beach area. They had jet skis, rental cars, food and drinks. It was a very nice place. The food was great , the drinks were excellent, everything was good. Only thing was that it was expensive, however worth it. We ate had our drinks and went to laye down. I swear as soon as we got comfortable and ready to tan , it was time to go. Oh was I mad , real mad ok not real mad just mad because the fun was just beginning.

Now here we are back on the little boat headed back to the main island. One of the workers jumped in the water and everyone was looking like what in the world is be doing. Well low and behold he had saw a starfish and jumped in the water to retrieve it. I thought he was going to come up with Sandy Cheeks and Spongebob but nope just Patrick Star.

We continued on our journey then something hit me.....I looked over and said ",Ryan I forgot your credit card back at the island". He looked at me ( this isn't the first time I've misplaced his credit card),

And shook his head. Now because the ride was about 45 min to am hour we couldn't turn around. I got the manager on the phone amdnshe agreed to mail it to us. That was nice but trust me it wasn't going to help being as though that's the card we were using for vacation.

As we approached land the driver handed me his phone , it was the store manager . she said hey I'm only a 45 minute drive from you let me bring the card to you . I'll be there by 2pm. You talking about someone happy boy was I happy. In the mean time while we waited I went and brought me some turtles , I love turltes. And I sat in the hot sun waiting. 2pm here she as pulling up. She Gave us the card and her business card and we gave her some cash for her troubles.

That really made my day . when I got back home I sent her a business card. We did a little more shopping and waited on the long line to get back on the ship.

  13. For this day I didn't have anything booked, at the last minute Ryan wanted to go swim with the Sting Rays and go to Rum Punch beach or whatever it was. So that morning I got up and went to guest services. $119 later we were booked for the stingray's. I put on my sun tan lotion and headed for the tender. Again faster to the fun wasn't needed . I was booked on a carnival excursion and they took us right away.

I absolutely hate tendering . it always makes me sea sick. All that moving and the motion boy oh boy I just couldn't wait to get to shore. After waiting for about 20 minutes we finally took our short tour around the Caymans. I found out that you have to invest 2.3, or 3, million dollars into the economy In order to be a citizen, and their dollar is worth more than ours. Their chickens walk around freely, and I saw a lot of dead iguanas in the streets.

Finally we made it to the little boat that we had to take to the sand bar. It was a pretty cool ride. The guy spoke to us we looked at the water and he explained the process for the stingray's.

When we got out to the middle of the ocean I was scared saying to myself how in the world can we possibly be out here without drowning. Well i didn't drown lol. Now I don't like slimmy things or animals. Ryan got out there and kissed the stingrays and he was loving it. It was a great experience, while watching a kid scream at the top of her lungs for her mother to help her.

  14. Great review!!! I have a cove booked so I really did appreciate your thoughts on that. Your style is simply awesome (dress, shoes & hair)!!!!

You're going to love the cove balcony. I would sit out there and just look at the water. After being on the other decks and noticing that there isn't much privacy , I can say that I prefer cove balconies. However I will book the other but cove balconies are great.

  15. You are beautiful! And that dress, wow!!

Thank you, I really appreciate that . I needed that .Second at my job every year we have a prom. This year it was 80's theme so I got that dress. The dress ended up being a huge hit . while at dinner an older lady walked over and stroked my face and said if nobody tells u, you're beautiful and your dress is amazing. Thank you again.
