  1. I will be using a walker on the ship and need to know (have searched many online photos and not found the answer yet) where the area is specifically that I will be able to walk to, using the Rollator and get a seat (guessing it would need to be an aisle or side wall in the room.)
  2. Let us know if you receive a pleasant surprise when you embark....🙃
  3. Excellent! Glad that it is working for someone, LOL.
  4. Can anyone please tell us the name of the current 'house band' on the ship?
  5. I can't do a mock booking, because our sailing shows 'sold out', so probably not going to happen for us, before March 17th.
  6. So you actually DID get notified that your bid wasn’t accepted? Others have said that never happens.
  7. WOW...so them offering a COUNTER BID (their $ amount) and you accepting, is not a guarantee of actually getting the upgrade. Very confusing.
  8. I assume that since I’m on a 20 day cruise ( which can be booked as 2 10 day cruises) there will be much less chance of my upgrade bid being accepted.
  9. Mine isn't like that yet. I do not have a heading 'extras' at the top.
  10. Karma....did you get confirmation that your bid was accepted? Are have you been moved?
  11. Has anyone here ever got a counter offer if they've bid on more than ONE category upgrade? We have two...which is why I'm curious.
  12. Thank you Kokopelli. We now have an accessible cabin, so know the situation there. The cabin category that I bid on, has a couch, which I'd love, but will probably lose the accessible cabin, so would need the separate piece to put onto a regular toilet. I CAN step over into a regular shower, but need the bar/extra height of the other. Also, I tried dealing with the special needs dept when first booking, and found them very unresponsive...so hope to just get a photo from someone who has used one of the separate risers.
  13. We will be on the Enchanted Princess in March. We currently have a fully accessible balcony cabin because they do not have ambulatory accessible ones. I am fine with a regular shower but need a bar or such for the toilet. I am planning to put a bid on another category that has a couch which ours does not. Does anyone have a photo of the type of riser that they provide?
  14. Yeah, I was 17, then downwards until there was one person ahead of me, then it mysteriously closed. I logged in again, and the chat was still up, but now I was 15th in line. Finally gave up.
  15. I know for sure that there is only a fully accessible cabin on the Enchanted Princess. Using a walker, and asked for 'ambulatory' accessible balcony cabin, but there isn't that category on the ship.
  16. I've often seen that they are 'very small' but wonder what size they would fit if they actually had a size : Small, Medium or Large? Does anyone have an opinion on that? 🤔
  17. Wow....hope that does happen. We are having the same issue.
  18. Excellent. I have a small tray that I thought of taking, so I can get a couple of things in the buffet myself, but wonder about how the seating will work out when it is crowded.
  19. Yes, that's right. I am counting on my travel partner to do the rolling, and hopefully my airline will make sure I have the requested wheelchair ride to the gate.
  20. Yes, if this works as well as I hope it will, I most likely will look into that once I'm back and have to return this rollator to it's owner.
  21. Thanks, will look into velcro strips and try that. It does seem like it would pop open a bit depending on how it's carried, so thought the plane handlers might not worry about that, and THEN 😵😲 Hate to have to give the waiter more work than they already have, but I suppose it's better than falling in someone's soup, if I try to walk without it, eh? If I thought I could get a table close to the entrance, I'd take a cane with me as well, and save the waiter the walk. Thanks for the FREE answers. Much appreciated.
  22. Now....more questions of course, LOL. When travelling, how do you keep the unit from becoming 'unfolded' when they stow it in the plane? What happens when one 'drives' the rollator to the MDR? Does it have to stay outside, or will they find me a nice corner next to my table? I'm sure I'll think of other things you can help me with. What do you charge an hour?
  23. Okay....convinced! I just 'borrowed' one to use for the cruise (and try out over the winter, so I can get my rollator driving certificate). Not quite as fancy but took advice about the covered brake cables for traveling in the plane hold, so less chance of 'tangling' with others. (Not that mine seems particularly aggressive).
  24. Thanks for the replies (and the possible discount code). I have a lot to think about. First time traveling in this condition. Have taken a trip with my cane once, but with the pain and fatigue I felt, figured it might be just too much on this big ship.
  25. Yes, I see that they are under $200 for the kind I would consider, so probably just cost as much to rent. I despair of the plane/bus travel with it. Hubby might have to ride it while I get wheelchair assistance, LOL.
