Seven email notifications. Refund: zero.
Aint right
Definitely strange as they always refund these charges. Did you email Mbayley@rccl.com? That usually gets a response.

In Costa Rica when our bus driver realized he wasn't going to be able to go forward he backed into the opposite traffic lane, no cars in that lane because of the downed tree, and then continued to drive backwards until he found somewhere he could back into to make the U-turn. I'm pretty sure I couldn't back up a car, let alone a big bus. It was amazing. Obviously he knew which other road to take to get back to the ship.

I saw a reference today to a cruise in which the teens knew it was time to get back to the ship, but the parents didn't seem to care, so the teens went back without them. Parents did not make it. Anyone have more about this?
Saw the same thing in several places.

In Costa Rica in October on Radiance Canal cruise, all aboard was 9:30, sailaway wa 10. When we left the dining room noticed only 1 gangway down, 4 officers standing on dock staring at the pier, waiting... there had been a rain storm earlier, we had to turn around because of a downed tree and were 1/2 hr late at 5:30. At 9:30 shore excursions were still stuck. New buses had to be sent to rescue passengers. Also saw police bring passengers back who were stuck other places. Didn't hear that we were missing any passengers when we finally left.

Sorry you had to cancel. You might have saved yourself some money if you transferred your deposit to another cruise. If I'm correct there is a $100/pp charge but the balance of your deposit will be applied to the new cruise. I'm sure someone will correct me I'm wrong.

When you buy the insurance, you aren't insuring a cruise. You are insuring a person. So you would have to insure each person separately, either with an annual policy for each of them or a per cruise policy for each of them.
Our annual policy covers both of us. I listed both of us when I got the quote. They did tell me that if our granddaughter was part of our household she would be covered. Again we got this policy because we also wanted to cover our pre and post cruise travels.

Do they give you an option to use scent free detergent when washing guest clothes?
No.

Room service once a day? Is that morning or evening?
I think we were asked our preference.

We have an annual policy. Wanted to cover the pre-cruise and post-cruise travel (several days traveling in various places) and car trips. We're taking our granddaughter with us in July and bought coverage for her for just this trip. We couldn't cover her on our policy as she doesn't live with us.

I was wondering if there they have blankets to wrap yourself in while on your balcony.

I have transactions that royal is claiming that I made on royal in the casino that don't show up on my sea pass. They call it point of sale transactions. Has anyone experienced this?
Yes, with next cruise purchases. Goes right to credit card. You can use a different card for these types of transactions. Don't know much about casino.

For sure but was a lot easier with a plastic bag. I ripped my paper bag on cruise #1 🙂
Dh is really good at packing the bag. Yes, the plastic bag was easier.

I’m booked on the Bird Safari. There are 13 of us on this tour. We are sitting on the bus at the pier out of the rain waiting for our departure time.
There was a break in the rain while I was checking out the town earlier. The rain has returned. I went back to the ship and put on my full rain pants and jacket for this tour.
We may get wet but they assure us we will see birds. 😂
Dh says that tour isn't available in August. So looking forward to your review.

Not really. There are lines for the timed boarding. There is a web rope for the suite line, and you will have to show your seapass for them to let you through. Look for the sign. After that, there is a suite check in booth. We didn't have any wait. But that is assuming they are still using the temporary check in structure.
Thanks. That's what I needed to know. Already did checkin and have our set sail pass. Took 11 am time as I know LA traffic can be bad and our son will be driving us. Will look for the sign.

Sailing in July with our granddaughter in a grand suite (it was cheaper than a balcony when I booked it). When we get to the port anyone notice if there was a line for suites? The last time I wasxat that port it was a port stop so would appreciate any help.

I’ve noticed the bags of linens under the bed but we could always fit our two suitcases and carryons so it hasn’t been a problem.
Agree.

The bridge is focused on the 11% that haven't done muster yet.
No word yet when we should expect to reach the lock.
I never understand why people avoid going to muster, especially since the new muster is so easy to do. Precovid we met a couple that were pleased to tell us how they avoided going and where they hid! Don't get it.

Somehow I misplaced my card for cruise 1 early this morning. Guest services created a new one for me.
Great fortune though, I found my original card from cruise 1 sometime later.
Interesting idea! When they've taken ours I just go to GS and reclaim them. I guess in August I'll have to do that.

Pre-covid and pre- coupons in the concierge lounge we always got a glass of wine to take to dinner. Never an issue.

More pics to come but first an itinerary change.
The tender visit tomorrow to Waterford has been cancelled due to winds. Instead there will be a sea day tomorrow.
Day 15 we will visit Bruges (Zeebrugge), Belgium.
Enjoy Bruges. We stopped there on April 2022 TA. Did a chocolate tasting walking tour. Enjoyed every last bite!

Agree seldom there but they do try to do something.

I believe battery-operated is more accurate, but of course not real fire.Except once on Azamara, the Israeli security guy was allowed to light real candles.
That must’ve been a fascinating experience, on the ship where you were the only English-speaking worshippers. Do you recall what the prayer book had? When we went into the shul in Florence on Shavuot, the prayer book was (of course) Italian and Hebrew. We had to sit separately, and neither of us ever could figure out where we were in the book! In Istanbul, we arrived for the tail end of morning minyan, and again, we sat separately. I can’t remember that prayer book! Perhaps it was just in Hebrew.
No, don't recall the book. We were sailing out of San Juan the others were not all Spanish speaking. Thankfully dh was able to communicate with everyone. No minyan but ok.
