  1. I can get Italian food, steaks, lobster anytime at home but cannot get a guy burger. Seems some here are wanting E coli. Guys cook meat perfectly and is juicy. Some here have probably never had 150 dollar gourmet burgers. They have no clue.

  2. The best thing, if she wants to teach the youth of today, is.....go to the buffet, put ice & water in a cup, and add a slice of lemon.

It's healthier....doesn't cost anything additional, and breaks no rules.

Actually not healthier. Milk is still very benefitial in vitamin D

  3. It is what it is. There will always people who feel cheating/stealing/smuggling is ok. Again my rational behind that is what is that teaching the youth of today?

So if you go buy a shirt at a store but it also fits your daughter , you will not allow her to wear it do to principals and morals. Your post has to be a joke

  4. If you are in the habit of sharing with your kids, then do so. I think most adults lost the ability to eat/drink alone the moment they had kids.

If that's teaching kids to break the rules....so be it. I'm sure they will still go on to be good contributors to society.

Your teaching your kids not to be wasteful when there are starving kids in Africa(sarcasm), it's amazing how little people know about milkshakes. If you can't finish your Milkshake and share it with your kid your showing good manners for letting it not go to waste. It's time to make America great again

If I purchase a shake that can't be finished by one person(using words of a few previous posters) I'm not trashing it after it's halfway done if I have several good leftover eaters in my vicinity.

  5. I have a theory I want to pose to everyone and see what yall think. From what I have heard on reviews on here and from what I have seen in the past several years, the food quality in the MDR is on the decline. It seems variety selection and quality are declining. Is that a fair statement? If it is true, why do you think?

My theory is that cruise lines, Carnival specifically (maybe others) are trying to get passengers to switch to the pay for restaurants by lessoning the quality and variety in the main dining room. I think they are doing this gradually to eventually make the change to a pay for all of your food cruise system. I think if they just starting charging for all food on the cruise, they would see big declines in ridership so they have decided to get customers to slowly pay for better food, comparable to what you used to get in the mdr.

    What do yall think?

As to your question to whether they are trying to get passengers into the pay restaurants, that I don't know. What is fact and cannot be denied is that over the last 5 years the food and service has declined do to cutbacks. That is a fact. Unfortunately you will have the Carnival cheerleaders calling you names and defending what they know is an outright lie. These same people are the type that would preach against a certain group of people yet become a complete hypocrite and take a paycheck for 400,000.

  6. Flood happens but I have never seen any guest service staff yelling or snapping at a passenger ever on a Carnival ship.

Well if you have never seen customer service snap at someone, that must mean it has never happened. Wrong I have seen it quite a few times.

  7. I am to busy gazing into my wife's beautiful blue eyes and listening to her talk about her day to ever notice or care about what someone else is wearing. The ambiance is never ruined by what other people wear unless you just sit there watching every person walk in. Try concentrating on the loved ones or new friends you've met than worrying about every person that walks in. Ambiance ruined by a nice pair of shorts has to be the biggest laugh I've ever heard on CC.

  8. What would be an "appropriate" shore excursion for polluting? Regardless of whether it is done from a ship or shore, plastic pollution in the ocean is a crime. Sorry, I've worked 42 years at sea, and seen the effects of all kinds of pollution in all of the world's oceans, and I detest it, and welcome all efforts by the world's governments in preventing it.

If you have worked at sea for 42 years then you have a hand in polluting. Trust me you have on the vessels and ships you have been on.

  9. A few years ago as my wife and I were on the elevator alone, it stopped at next level and man got on with his speedo on at full attention(excited). My wife started laughing(not loudly) and she looked at me and said poor guy and she asked the guy if he was cold. I remained quiet as the man didn't speak English , but when he got off my wife says to me why is he wearing a speedo and excited with a half a roll of pennies in his speedo. She loves to make me embarrassed and she will say anything.

  10. on my oct cruise i tipped the haven steward 100 bucks. he was fantastic. helped make the trip what it was. went again in december and had to hunt him down as apparently when he came back from his month off he was moved one floor down. he remembered me and we had a very nice discussion which included the fact that he now had his wife on board. then he went to his stash and got me a bottle of bubbly, which was very nice. they do appreciate the extra $$ and being treated civilly for what literally is a 7 day a week job for months on end. not many of us can say we work that much nor deal with the variety of people on a daily basis.

i wouldnt do a stewards job for even 100K a year.

I bet you would if you came from a country where normal pay for working 16 hour days is 10 dollars a month.
