I just booked a cruise with 3 cabins for family members. We usually get travel insurance through Allianz. In this case, can I get travel insurance through RCL for one cabin as it's for my parents who will be 84 and 74 as it's cheaper than getting them separate travel insurance or do I need to get all 3 cabins through RCL?

    Has anyone ever done that?

3 different bookings. Get ins anywhere you want

I have 4 cabins on Radiance booked and linked to me. I can clearly see all four reservations in my account on the website. On the app I can only see the reservation for my cabin. I want to check in all 4 cabins on the app and let the others fill in their information later. What do I need to do to make the other 3 cabins visible on the app?

where do you see linked cabins on website?

Saw a price on a cruise I have currently booked cheaper on RCCL website.  Called travel agent and he said price on my room was not any cheaper.  I sent him a screenshot but he said he didn't see that price.  He did 3 way call with myself and RCCL.  Rep stated price my TA was quoting the correct price.  Why is the price online for my room cheaper but no one can see it!  It's not after final payment.

So book it online and transfer to the agent

    Hi all,

Has anyone else heard that the head of RCL entertainment for the past 10 years and RCL have “parted ways” due to imminent entertainment cutbacks?  This is so upsetting.

Nick was the mastermind of RCLs entertainment from their investment in live music (tribute bands to stowaway piano to country band to full reggae bands to the 16 piece icon orchestra) to the innovative diving shows, ice shows, 270 shows, broadway shows and interrogation of technology into it all.

Nick and his team stressed the importance of investment and innovation, allowing for such variety and high quality not just at Royal Caribbean compared to competition but for any vacation.

Some people are saying there have been disagreements with leadership wanting to significantly cut entertainment budgets from the high quality production shows to the significant variety and quality of live music on ships.

This is so disappointing as many of us cruise RCL compared to NCL and other lines due to their high quality and variety of above and beyond entertainment.  A sad day for the cruise industry and a company we love.  Hopefully they abort their pulling of resources and money into entertainment before it becomes noticeable.

where are you hearing all this?

How do you know there was any inconvenience to anyone? You don't and there was none.

Your waiter has to stop serving the folks (at all their tables) that bothered to come on time and take your orders. Then he (she) has to run to get your order while still trying not to make everyone else (the ones that bothered to come on time) wait for their orders. Be an adult and go at scheduled time next time

So, it's "all about me?"  This response is sad in that it doesn't  take into consideration the possible needs of another human being.

Kudos to the OP for wanting to do the right thing and make the cabin available to someone who really needs it.

The way it is is that as soon as the op moves from that cabin it will go into inventory where anyone can have it because the cruise is so close.

It doesn't matter if he is the primary passenger as long as 1 of you stay on the reservation you can substitute the other passenger. As for the handicap cabin....see if they have a non-handicap in the same category you can switch to...or else just stay in the cabin you have.

I agree. Even if the op switched cabins, the next person getting it is not likely going to need handicapped cabin either

I would be hesitant if I were you using a voucher in the MDR. It is hit and miss as to whether they charge you or not. If you don't mind standing in line at Guest Services to get it changed, go for it. I personally bring a drink to dinner these days to avoid the issue.

What's the difference where you get your drink? Off 9 night recently and voucher was always used without asking. Goes for specialty, main dining and everywhere else.

The voucher is seen on computer screen and it's the first payment method they use

I've been assigned Cabin 8390 on Indy and the deck plans do not indicate that this Cabin holds a 3rd or 4th person.  Everything I've found online states this Cabin holds 2. Anybody been in 8390 that confirm how many persons it holds and if it has a pullout couch or pull down  beds?

If the passenger has trip insurance and they are cancelling for a covered reason the insurance company will require them to actually cancel and then they will be reimbursed for their forfeited fare.

A benefit of many travel insurance policies which people don't seem to notice: If the other passenger (the one who is still going on the cruise) is covered under a travel insurance policy (whether the same policy or their own) their policy will often cover the additional single supplement they are charged. They will be reimbursed for the increase in their fare. So the policy will pay twice, it will reimburse the passenger who had to cancel, and will also reimburse the passenger who is suddenly solo and paying double.

Not confused at all. Reply 2 and 3 were very clear

In order to collect from insurance the person I believe has to cancel which triggers a refare for the other pax. I dont believe they can collect if they just dont show up, but I could be wrong.

How many times have you been told that's (refare) not true

Are their passports expiring in 1 week or closer to the 6 month date?  Bring birth certificates with raised seal just in case.  I think you should be fine.  If not, based on experience with a sister traveling to England and never checked her passport date, you can renew in person at a regional office if travel is less than 10 days.

Just remember to renew when you return!

Raised seal has nothing to do with a BC being official or not
